The EMHIP (Ethnicity and Mental Health Improvement Programme) Mobile Hub Support Worker has been co-designed with individuals with lived experience of mental health care to provide direct, person-centred support to individuals in their local communities.

The Croydon BME Forum and Asian Resource Centre Croydon, in partnership with South West London Integrated Care System (SWL ICS) and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) are working together to address the ethnic inequalities in health and social care through the Ethnicity and Mental Health Improvement Programme (EMHIP). One of the key interventions of EMHIP is the implementation of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Mobile Hub. This is a mobile, all age, whole family hub service, delivered within both faiths based and community-based organisations.

The Mental Health & Wellbeing Mobile Hub team will be a dedicated team of experienced, culturally aware support workers and clinical staff embedded in the community to provide services to all local residents, but with a specific focus on BAME communities. This team will be based in different locations across the borough, working within BAME communities, alongside faith groups and existing wellbeing hubs in Croydon.

Job Summary

The Mobile Hub Team Support Worker is a skilled, knowledgeable, and empathetic person, who enjoys working with people, taking a person-centred approach. They must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in an active setting, with people and professionals across the health and social care system. They will be practical, resilient, well organised and have excellent communication skills. 

As a Hub Support Worker, you will be responsible for working with the team, providing advice and practical help for local residents in need of mental health support or general well being/social support. You will work as part of a wider hub team, rotating between different community locations, providing one-to-one support, and making referrals to the team psychologist and secondary care services, as well as helping people to access other agencies and services, such as benefits, housing, debt services. You will work with the mobile hub team to offer wellbeing activities, including workshops as well working with primary care and collaborating with community services.

You will work in a variety of settings, including:

• Faith-based groups 
• Community settings 
• Colleges 

Main responsibilities

• Working closely with CBME Forum Mobile Hub Team Manager
• Support new referrals and offer a person-centred, wellbeing assessment that identifies their wellbeing difficulties and develops a plan to support positive mental and general wellbeing. 
• Ensure that staff resources are coordinated to provide cover being aware of the team’s work/life balance.
• Deliver one-to-one support to hub users and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the Hub Team Manager.
• Provide advice and information relating to Welfare Benefits, including Universal Credit and work with service users to assist them with claims, online assessments, including Work Capability Assessments, applications, form-filling and contacting agencies such as the Department of Work and Pensions and London Borough of Croydon Welfare Rights and Housing teams. 
• Provide basic housing advice.
• Provide general money and debt management advice. 
• Provide information on employment opportunities and training support for clients.
• Support colleagues within the Mental Health & Wellbeing Mobile Hub, with enquiries which relate to your specialist knowledge and experience e.g., in Universal Credit, Housing, Money or Debt Management, access to training, education or employment.
• Support access to, and the delivery of, a variety of peer and social support groups, workshops and activities available.
• Work as part of the wider hub support team, co-delivering workshops, liaising with colleagues, and arranging referrals where necessary to hub team psychologist.
• Facilitate direct referrals to secondary care services and community services.
• Work from a strength-based approach, focusing on the person themselves and providing non-judgemental support, respecting diversity and their lifestyle choices. 
• Attend training, forums, and meetings to ensure knowledge remains relevant and up to date. 
• Keep up to date about current best practice and legislation within mental health, as well as within the field of Information & Advice more generally.
• Provide updates and feedback to the EMHIP Mobile Hub teams. 
• Maintain accurate and up to date service user records using online database systems.
• Preparing and giving talks on the work of the service to other organisations e.g., Social Services, Mental Health Resource Centres.
• Work within all policies and procedures of the Partnership, ensuring that information remains confidential and to adhere to the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR)

About the Role

As a service delivery assistant you will be:

Supporting the service manager to provide a high quality service to victims of domestic abuse.
Be the initial point of contact for families referred into the service, completing initial risk and needs assessments over the phone
Providing information, advice and guidance to those families you engage with
Maintaining clear and accurate records within our case management system
Working with sensitive, confidential and secure data

You will need:

The Fundraising Assistant supports the Regional Community Fundraising Team by providing administrative and fundraising support. The Role

Income generation

• Work with Head of Fundraising and Operations, Trust Fundraiser and Fundraising Assistant to

• Deliver excellent stewardship in line with donor journey plans to support individuals, groups,

businesses and organisations to maximise their donations and fundraising for BTS

• Generate creative ideas of how organisations can get involved in fundraising for us and

communicate effectively the benefits of COTY partnerships to companies to maximise income

• Produce monthly reports to help monitor income performance against plan and implement remedial action as required to ensure income targets are met.

Engaging new supporters

• Research and drive activity to grow our community supporter base to include community groups,

traditional clubs, schools, youth groups, sports clubs and individuals. This will involve undertaking

research, making approaches, preparing and delivering high quality presentations and pitches

• Organise and deliver a calendar of community talks to engage support for BTS – including developing and supporting a volunteer speakers network as appropriate
• Identify, approach and secure long term, mutually beneficial partnerships with small businesses which will include charity of the year (COTY), sponsorship of BTS events or materials.

Event and campaign promotion

• Co-ordinate the delivery and promotion of any BTS managed events or campaigns, working to and maintaining project and marketing plans to ensure all departments involved are on track to meet the team objectives
• Develop and promote a calendar of 3rd party events to maximise participants signing up and fundraising for BTS.

Through making social media posts, creating engaging content or writing stories, you’ll play an integral role in communicating our impact and stories to our key audiences.

At Horatio’s Garden, we build and look after extraordinary gardens in the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. These gardens are a critical part of rehabilitation and offer reflection and adjustment, privacy and solace, joy and companionship to all who need it. We lead regular gardening sessions to grow and cultivate plants, arts workshops to offer new skills and a programme of live music and events. Designed to be enjoyed all year round, these gardens offer a warm, welcoming place for family and friends who may have travelled hours for a visit.

Our vision is for everyone with a spinal injury to have a Horatio’s Garden as part of their rehabilitation care.

The charity is growing. We have eight garden projects open and are fundraising for our ninth garden in Middlesbrough.

This role will assist with the content creation of engaging written, film and visual content across different platforms, scheduling and moderating our social channels, and helping us report on our digital activity. You will support the rollout of the new regional social media channels for each garden to help place storytelling and impact at the heart of our communications.

It would suit someone looking to start or build their career in the communications field or charity sector to develop experience in developing content, writing and charity campaigning. There will be opportunities for training and development and you will travel between the charity’s UK-wide gardens and meet patients, volunteers and staff.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week) based in the charity’s office in Salisbury with the ability to discuss some flexible working after the six month probation period.

You will be reporting to the Communications Manager.

Main duties

1. Help manage the day-to-day running of the charity’s social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook). Schedule content and respond to comments and messages to foster positive engagement and add value to the supporter experience

2. Work closely with the team to produce subscriber, campaign-led and post-event newsletter content and manage the subscriber database

3. Contribute to the charity’s content calendar and work creatively and collaboratively with the communications and wider charity team to proactively seek and develop story ideas

4. Create engaging content in support of charity objectives and reflecting our brand and tone guidelines

5. Assist with internal communications to convey key updates to staff

6. Assist in maintaining and updating Horatio’s Garden’s main website

7. Help to manage the charity’s digital assets, ensuring the team have access to the most impactful photographs and videos for their needs

8. Collate, analyse and present monthly reports on social media, newsletter and website activity and engagement against key performance metrics

9. Assist with planning and promotion of campaigns and track press activity

10. Keep up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies

What does this role do?

As a Welfare Manager you will: 

• Lead, coach and develop a small team to deliver high-quality veterinary care and behaviour modification for dogs in our care. 
• Act as a balanced advocate for both behavioural and veterinary needs to achieve the best outcomes for each dog. 
• Oversee staff and volunteer training in behaviour and dog handling, ensuring all colleagues work within SOPs, legal, and health & safety guidelines. 
• Develop and implement tailored behaviour modification plans for dogs with complex needs and monitor progress towards successful rehoming. 
• Support professional development of Behaviour Officers, Dog Welfare Assistants, and Supervisors through mentoring, assessments, and workshops. 
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent, informed behavioural support before, during, and after rehoming.

As an accredited clinical dog behaviourist (CCAB, CAB) with extensive experience in canine behaviour and welfare; including behaviour modification, clinical assessment, and risk management, you will have proven expertise in safely handling and rehabilitating dogs across a range of breeds and behavioural profiles. Job summary

We are looking for a proactive, confident and supporter-focused fundraiser to build and manage relations with JGDR’s local community across North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.  Working with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager, you will deliver a strategy to grow income and volunteer numbers from the local community. This is a varied role which will cover:

· Stewarding and recruiting supporters undertaking their own fundraising activities, including those taking part in challenge events

· Organising & attending local events to raise awareness and income

· Proactively approaching and working with local &national businesses

· Recruiting and overseeing a network of volunteers who can support income generation in your local area. This role would suit a target-driven, approachable and resourceful fundraiser with ambition and drive – there is plenty of opportunity to make this role your own and drive forward growth in these crucial income streams.

Your role

You will sit in the Volunteering and Community Fundraising team, and report to the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager. You will manage your own time to effectively balance both developing and stewarding relationships with individual and corporate supporters in the local area and working through a network of volunteers to deliver fundraising and retail objectives.

You will develop and grow strong relationships with supporters, collaborating with colleagues across the wider organisation to ensure you are offering the best supporter experience you can. You will attend local events with, and through, volunteers, work with colleagues in our retail and operation sites, and spot other opportunities to promote JGDR in your community and drive support for our work.

You will deliver excellent stewardship to supporters and volunteers and develop relationships with key local contacts who can help to further JGDR’s mission. You will champion supporter care and ensure that all relevant supporter information is stored on JGDR’s CRM, Donorflex.

Key responsibilities

Community fundraising

· Identify, engage, and steward DIY and community fundraisers, developing strategies to promote fundraising activities in these groups and grow income from your local area

· Proactively pursue local business partnership opportunities, developing a pipeline of potential corporate support and making applications to secure support

· Provide high quality stewardship of supporters, groups and businesses within the community, responding to enquiries in a timely way and ensuring relationships are developed and maintained at a high standard

· Represent JGDR as the first point of contact within the community, promoting our mission, vision, and values alongside fundraising and volunteer opportunities

· Ensure that Donorflex is up-to-date and develop regular reporting mechanisms to inform the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager of outputs and results, and support understanding of the local audiences, including individual supporters, local businesses, and volunteers, and their historical engagement with the charity

Volunteering

· Work with the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager and Volunteering Administration Assistant to recruit, induct and train volunteers to support fundraising and other relevant initiatives in the local community

· Via volunteer support, oversee the distribution of collection boxes in your local area, monitoring and reporting on income generated

· Coordinate and attend – supported by a network of volunteers – key local events, e.g. county shows, to raise awareness of JGDR in the local community and drive support for the charity amongst target audience groups.

· Ensure JGDR retail shops, and their volunteers, in your area have relevant and timely information on current fundraising campaigns and other initiatives to share with customers

· Ensure that the Volunteering database, Volunteero, is up to date

Other duties

· Contribute content for social media, fundraising newsletters, publications and local media to support marketing objectives and increase our engagement with adopters, supporters and donors online

· Keep up to date with sector trends and developments in community and regional fundraising, and volunteering

· Ensure all fundraising activities and events operate within best practice and regulatory guidelines and comply with health and safety requirements.

· Act as a champion for fundraising compliance across the organisation, including ensuring adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, the General Data Protection Act and PECR, and other relevant legislative requirements.

· Manage any complaints from supporters efficiently and sensitively

· Act as a collaborative role model to the wider team, and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the wider charity to be an internal ambassador for Fundraising and Marketing

As Visitor Experience Manager (VEM), you will oversee house-based visitor operations and lead a seamless visitor engagement program - including tours, walks, and talks - ensuring that all audiences enjoy an exceptional and inspiring experience. • With the AVEM provide motivational and supportive leadership to all guides and volunteers, ensuring visitor expectations remain central to operations

• Train as a guide to cover staff/volunteer shortfalls and maintain consistency in the visitor offer
• Support out-of-hours exclusive access tours, sharing responsibilities with the VE management team

People Management

The grants operations and data manager is a newly created role, within Moorfields Eye Charity's grants and research team, to support, manage and develop grant funding operations. This is a really exciting time to join the team as this position will play a key role in the ongoing optimisation of the teams grants management system (Flexigrant, implemented 2024) and also the underpinning funding operations to support the delivery of our first grants strategy, due to be launched in early 2026.

We have ambitious plans. We have put into action a five-year business plan that is supporting our growth from raising and funding around £6 million annually to becoming a £10 million a year charity.

You will have an established track record in grant-making, ideally in a health or medical research charity. You will have experience in the full life-cyle of grants management and the delivery of grant-making programmes, working with complex data and databases. We are asking for a CV as the first step but applicants may be asked to provide a targeted covering letter as part of the selection process.  Interviews will be conducted during the application window as appropriate, and will consist of a first interview via MS Teams, progressing, if successful to a face to face second interview, held at our offices in Milton Keynes.
