Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused individual with the ability to build relationships quickly to join us as a Supporter Care Advisor to provide outstanding customer service to our supporters.
This is a full-time temporary role until the end of Feb 2027.
Please note that due to the duties and nature of this work, the role will be based in our London-Farringdon office full time for the first few weeks, then there will be flexibility to work from home for 2 days per week.

This role sits within the Public Income and Engagement department in the Public Impact group whose purpose is to build an active community of people in the UK who give money, time and take action to enable lasting change for children.

Working closely with colleagues across Public Impact, we deliver a cohesive approach to public engagement that generates income, builds awareness, changes minds and opinions, prompts people to act, and builds deep relationships with supporters. About the Role
As a Supporter Care Advisor your role is to deliver outstanding service to our supporters, both proactively and reactively. This service should always meet or exceed the expectations of our supporters, so they are inspired to contribute to our work through donating, volunteering, and raising money and awareness for Save the Children.
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Answering a wide range of enquiries about fundraising and our organisation via telephone, email, letter and social media.
- Processing and recording single and regular donations.
- Recording all incoming and outgoing communications on our supporter database and adjacent systems.
- Track and record all incoming and outgoing communications on a contacts database.
- Listening to and proactively responding to and resolving complaints in line with the complaints policy.
- Proactively seeking out opportunities to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service to our supporters.
- Adding value to supporter activity and fundraising plans by linking supporters with additional ideas and resources.
- Adding value to the Public Impact Group by capturing and sharing supporter trends and insights to help support strategy and decision making.
- Working with the Supporter Care team to explore and implement improvements to our processes, tools, and systems to enhance the overall supporter experience.

Location & Ways of Working:

We are looking for an Associate Manager, Data and Digital Transformation (13-month maternity cover) to lead a small data team to incentivise and support ISEAL members to make significant improvements to their data systems, embed data-driven decision-making in their assurance processes, and work towards interoperability in sustainable supply chains.
Data is at the heart of sustainability standards and certification. A key focus of our work at ISEAL is supporting these systems to better leverage the data they collect to create value and drive sustainability impact. We support our members along their digital transformation journey. The goal is to ensure a seamless flow of sustainability and compliance data from producing enterprises to the market and to leverage this data to create incentives and benefits for those at the start of the supply chain. To date, we have focused on building the foundations for robust data governance and management, strengthening their capacity to leverage data for insights, and supporting standardisation of core certificate data. In this next strategic phase, we’re doubling down on data and technology as a strategic priority and are committed to build a more ambitious support programme focused on leveraging technology and AI.
The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of and experience with data management, and in supporting digital transformation projects within complex data ecosystems. They will be confident in engaging data practitioners from across our membership, and in facilitating peer learning on technical topics like data standardisation, interoperability, analytics and data management. Prior experience and understanding of certification, audit and sustainability performance data is an important asset.
The key responsibilities we entrust you with
- Contribute to thought leadership on digital transformation for ISEAL community members
- Provide support and oversight to Digital Innovations Coordinator on running member peer learning groups: Data Community of Practice and Data Insights Lab
- Collaborate with the Manager, Credibility and Innovations on building strong relationships with individual member organisations with regards to their use of data analytics as part of their assurance processes
- Design and deliver peer exchange sessions and guidance on organisational data management, interoperability of data systems, and deriving insights from complex data systems
- Develop guidance and resources on digital transformation and data management, building on existing ISEAL resources and tools
- Lead engagement with key data interoperability initiatives like the UN Transparency Protocol (UNTP) and GIZ DIASCA, and derive insights to bring back to the ISEAL Community
- Build momentum within the ISEAL community to collaborate on data standardisation
- Review and provide input on ISEAL’s internal AI use policy
- Potential line management of Digital Innovations Coordinator (pending prior line management experience)
Other
- Contribute to ISEAL’s wider work on data and information management, especially with the ISEAL community and its members
- Support grant-related reporting, including project and budget tracking

Essential attributes / skills / knowledge
- Experience leading or contributing to an organisational digital transformation project or implementing a data governance system, ideally in sustainability

- Interest and understanding of AI and the data management considerations associated with this field
- Interest and understanding of data ethics, rights, and ownership, especially in the context of sustainable value chains
- Experience managing and working in digital collaborative environments (e.g. Git Hub)
- Experience coordinating or facilitating group discussions and delivering webinars
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to make complex or technical topics accessible
- Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with people across cultures and time zones
- Basic understanding of project management skills including effective time & task management, budget and resource management
- Confidence using virtual meeting tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc), use of contact management databases (e.g. Salesforce) and proficiency in MS Office 365

About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Grants & Impact Team, overseeing grant giving and grant management processes within Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
A senior member of the Grants Team, the post holder will manage Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s grant awarding process, providing approximately £5m of grant awards to the Alder Hey NHS Foundation Trust (the ‘Trust’) per year, with ambitions for significant growth.
The Grants Manager will help develop and implement multi-year strategies to support the identification of fundraising needs and grant requirements. In doing so, the post holder will work closely with both Trust colleagues and our charity fundraising and marketing teams.
The post holder will report to the Director of Grants & Impact (DoG&I) and line manage the Senior Grants Officer and Grants Officer.
Main Duties/Tasks:
Strategic Planning, Financial Management & Reporting
- Work collaboratively with the DoG&I to develop and implement strategic, multi-year plans and budgets.
- Monitor progress against strategic plans, budgets, Key Performance Indicators and produce reports for key meetings such as the Charitable Spending Committee.
- Work with the Trust to identify upcoming funding requirements. Support the development of funding priorities, proposals and projects in line with the strategic direction of the Trust and Charity.
- Support the development of internal and external partnerships in line with our strategic plans and priorities.
Grant Applications & Awards
- Develop and oversee the grants application process, ensuring it aligns with the charitable spending strategy and is accessible to all applicants across the Trust.
- Manage the grants awards process, ensuring that applications are reviewed and approved in line in a timely manner within the agreed authority levels.
- Support grant applicants through the process, linking them with the relevant fundraising team and other colleagues where appropriate.
- Provide successful applicants with award letters and grant terms and conditions, tailored as required, with the support of the Grants Senior Officer and Officer.
- Work with the Finance Team to collate financial information on grant awards for reporting to the Charitable Spending Committee and funders.
Communication & Relationships
- Lead on the promotion of opportunities available to apply for Charitable Funding.
- Develop key relationships throughout the Trust that support the grant award and reporting process.
- Develop relationships with the Youth Forum, enabling youth voice in grant making.
- Work closely with the Impact & Insights Manager to ensure that grants awarded are likely to have impact and that this is a central part of the Charity’s grant making.
- Work proactively with the Fundraising and Marketing Teams to ensure that sufficient information is provided in relation to planned and approved grants and appeals.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Finance Team, working together to ensure financial accuracy and a smooth process of grants management.
- Help promote and maintain a positive culture within the Grants & Impact team.
- Line management of the Grants Senior Officer and Grants Officer.
Innovation & Development
- Work collaboratively with the Digital & Database Manager and Impact & Insights Manager to develop the CRM system for tracking grant awards and reporting data.
- Be a specialist in grant awarding and maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice.
Other Duties
- Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.

Purpose of the role:
The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.
Working directly with kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen their support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.
This is a community-facing role, working from Y Sort It’s offices and directly in kinship carers’ homes and community spaces. You will work alongside Y Sort It’s Intandem mentors to ensure that both carers and the children they care for receive coordinated, complementary support.
Accurate recording of your work is essential to enable Kinship and Inspiring Scotland to understand what is working, demonstrate impact and learn from this pioneering pilot.
Direct support
You will provide intensive one-to-one support to kinship carers for up to six months, working within the delivery approach set out in the Kinship Connected Service Manual. You will also establish and facilitate a monthly support group for kinship carers in West Dunbartonshire.
This may include:
- Providing emotional and practical support to kinship carers.
- Completing structured needs assessments, SMART goal setting and regular reviews with kinship carers.
- Advocating for kinship carers in meetings with professionals where appropriate.
- Establishing and facilitating a monthly support group for kinship carers in the local area.
- Mapping local services and building relationships with organisations that can provide specialist support, training or activities for kinship families in West Dunbartonshire.
- Liaising with schools, local authorities and other professionals to coordinate support around families.
- Supporting kinship carers with challenges relating to the child(ren) in their kinship care.

It’s been a successful few years for the Events team with good results across the board – increasing income by over £1 million every year since 2023, a big part of which has been due to the huge growth of virtual challenges. The Supporter Engagement Assistant will be at the frontline of our virtual challenges stewardship, supporting a rapidly growing supporter base and delivering exceptional supporter experiences. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, is highly organised and is eager to develop within a supportive and ambitious fundraising team.
While your focus will be on virtual challenges, you will also gain exposure to the wider Public Fundraising portfolio, with full training and support provided.
Key Responsibilities
Supporter Care & Engagement
· Be the first point of contact for virtual challenge fundraisers, responding to enquires on email, SMS, social channels and phone within agreed timescales
· Manage supporter relationships and high-quality fundraiser journeys using PCR’s systems and tools, providing thoughtful stewardship that builds long term loyalty
· Work with the team to continuously improve supporter experience using feedback and data
· Create and maintain FAQs, supporter resources and fundraising materials
· Monitor acquisition advertisements and appropriately respond to comments
Administration and database

Governance

As our Supporter Care Executive, you'll play an important role in making sure every donation is processed accurately, every supporter feels valued, and every interaction reflects the exceptional experience we're committed to providing.
Working as part of our Supporter Care team, you'll be at the heart of our fundraising operation. You'll process donations, maintain supporter records, send acknowledgements and thank you letters, and work closely with colleagues across fundraising, finance and data to ensure income is recorded accurately and efficiently. You'll also be the first point of contact for many supporter enquiries, providing a friendly, professional service that builds confidence and lasting relationships with those who choose to support our work.
This is a varied role where you'll balance accuracy with excellent customer service. You'll help identify opportunities to improve processes, support fundraising campaigns and events, and ensure our supporter care activity is compliant with fundraising regulations and best practice.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with detail, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and thrives in a busy environment. You'll be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
You'll bring:
- Experience of working in a customer service, supporter care or similar administrative role.
- Confident using Charity CRM-ideally Microsoft dynamics.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when processing financial information or large volumes of data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with supporters and colleagues alike.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a consistently high standard of work.

About the Sickle Cell Society (SCS)
The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Over 19,000 people in the UK have a sickle cell disorder, an inherited condition that predominantly affects people of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage; and to a lesser extent people of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Central/South American heritage.
Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve our fundraising priorities and targets. An exciting and varied role, we are seeking a strong team player, and someone with the confidence and initiative to help develop and grow charitable income. The post holder will be someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the enthusiasm to want to learn and get things done. We are a small, friendly and closely knit team of 20 skilled and highly committed staff and over 50 active volunteers.
The post-holder will work closely with the Fundraising Manager, and wider team to provide an engaging supporter journey and timely, efficient donor care to existing and new supporters of the Society. Responsible for helping the team meet our agreed income targets for celebratory giving, challenge events, community fundraising and corporate payroll giving initiatives.; the post-holder will be keen on developing their Fundraising career and interested in expanding their use of CRM databases, data management and the production of reports for effective donor stewardship.
You will be responsible for the membership and donors’ database (Beacon) keeping it up to date and reporting back on results, whilst ensuring data compliance and implementation of data. You will be highly proficient in the use of business IT systems in particular Microsoft Excel to analyse data, and you will also have at least one year’s experience, or equivalent, in producing detailed and insightful reports.
The post-holder will be a confident communicator and collaborator with proven relationship building and creative and innovative fundraising skills. You will also support the development of our fundraising communications, monitoring performance across all channels driving best practice and income growth. You will generate and develop engaging fundraising communications and be responsible for your own copywriting, including thanking our wonderful donors via the most appropriate communication channels.
This varied role will give you the opportunity to further your fundraising skills across a broad range of income generating activities as well as build strong, professional relationships to benefit the SCS’ charitable objectives.
