Income generation and fundraising at Solace is ambitious, dynamic and rewarding. This role is situated within the Business Development team working alongside our award-winning Communications, Partnerships & Public Affairs team.

We are seeking forward thinking, creative and motivated individuals who can manage both community and challenge events as well as wider fundraising support.

This is an important time for Solace and this role will contribute to achieve sustainable growth to support our work to end violence against woman and girls.

Most importantly, the team aims to develop new responses to the changing ways in which women experience violence against them.  The team is seeking to generate £2m+ net new income in the year ahead. 

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, passionate Fundraising Officer to join our team delivering a range of fundraising initiatives. Be part of a dynamic, exciting team as we expand our fundraising capacity and explore new areas of income generation, raising vital funds for our life-saving services.

Working closely with the Fundraising Managers this role will be vital in achieving our fundraising strategy and income targets. You will focus on individual giving, challenge events, community fundraising and digital campaigns as well as supporting the team in other fundraising areas. The geographical region will cover anything west of Bridgend and up to Aberystwyth. Ideally, candidates would be based in the Carmarthen/Llanelli area. This is a home-based role, with frequent travel throughout Wales, and monthly travel to Cardiff.

Scope of role

This recently created role within the Noah’s Ark Charity, which will grow our regional community fundraising presence and offering.  The postholder will know the West Wales area well and will become the expert in fundraising opportunities within the region, building strong relationships within the community, including companies and will develop supporter-led activity. The postholder will plan for and deliver income for the charity within the region, in line with wider fundraising strategy. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Income generation

- To plan for and deliver income to target through key performance indicators as agreed with community fundraising manager.

- To develop new supporter relationships within the community, in a planned way, to achieve income and provide excellent supporter care to ensure the relationship is ongoing, beyond one-off support for the charity.

- To lead on and deliver community fundraising within the region, through relationships with patient families, third party fundraisers, community groups, schools and education establishments and public bodies.

- To build strong corporate partnerships within the region, to an agreed income level, with the support of the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development.

- To lead on key projects to develop income generation.

- To contribute to the strategic development of community fundraising.

- Plan and deliver events in the community where necessary.

- Secure and deliver engaging presentations to groups and organisations.

2. Ambassador programme

- To build the family ambassador programme within the region, growing the network of key supporters who will represent and be the face of the charity within their local community.

- Support the community fundraising manager with the development of the ambassador programme including training and thanking opportunities.

3. Supporter experience

- To champion consistent and excellent supporter care.

- To record all communications accurately on the database, ensuring information is gathered and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the data protection act, GDPR and the charity’s data protection policy.

- To respond to supporter enquiries in a timely manner and deal with complaints, escalating as appropriate.

- To deliver an excellent supporter journey and contribute to the central supporter journey for community fundraising. 

4. Cross team working

- To work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues across the team to deliver wider fundraising income and charity objectives.  For example, gifts in wills, regular giving, event participation, volunteering and communications.

5. Budgets

- Work with the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development, to build and manage a detailed fundraising budget, including income and expenditure.

- Provide forecasts throughout the year, for agreed streams of income.

6. Best practice

- Ensure all fundraising practice is in line with organisational guidelines and policies.

- Encourage and champion compliance and best practice within the fundraising team.

- Ensure own compliance with fundraising standards and requirements, keeping up to date with key policies and regulations, including the fundraising regulator, chartered institute of fundraising and the charity commission.

7. Undertake any other duties which might be required to fulfil the general purpose of the post.

This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

About The Role: 

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough. 

Key Requirements Include: 

• Lived experience of Caring for someone with a mental health condition 

• Knowledge and understanding of mental health and the associated challenges and support needs. 

• The ability to work within the principles and values of peer support. 

• Confidence supporting people on a one-to-one basis. 

• Experience of / ability to facilitate peer support groups and training. 

• Clear communication and good interpersonal skills  

• Efficient organisation and time management skills 

• Developed IT skills, with experience using databases and communication platforms. 

As the Trusts and Foundations Officer you will proactively research, steward and secure income from a pipeline of trusts and foundations. You'll be identifying suitable trusts and developing impactful applications, reports and stewardship assets to grow and develop relationships. About this job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Income and Gift Aid Accountant Assistant to help us make sure every penny counts in our mission to stop MS. You'll play a key role in managing our income processing and supporting Gift Aid claims to help us maximise the value of every donation.

You'll ensure that donations recorded in our CRM system match the funds received, resolving discrepancies and supporting our income processes to run efficiently. Working closely with our Customer Services and Fundraising teams you’ll be at the heart of making sure our financial data is accurate and robust.

You’ll also assist with preparing and checking Gift Aid claims, helping us claim back vital extra funds at no additional cost to our supporters. Your detail driven approach will help us continue to build a strong and transparent foundation for everything we do.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a good understanding of financial accounting principles, strong Excel and IT skills, and a collaborative problem-solving approach. Excellent communication and organisational skills will also be essential as you work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure our income records are accurate and efficient.

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking an experience, dynamic and driven Trusts and Statutory Executive to join their team in a newly created role.

Prostate Cancer Research is a research and patient engagement organisation focused on advancing ground-breaking research and interventions into diagnosis, treatment, and care to create a future where prostate cancer no longer threatens lives. Their focus is on delivering innovative solutions and improving quality of life for patients, families, and communities affected by prostate cancer, supporting and encouraging marginalised and underrepresented communities to be part of the positive changes they are working to achieve in research, treatment and care.

The integral role of Trusts and Statutory Executive will lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners to develop and manage a pipeline of strategic partners giving approximately £5,000 to £20,000, that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. The post will be responsible for proactively researching new trust and statutory funding opportunities and working with the Trusts and Statutory Manager to support and lead on applications to new and existing funding partners (£20,000+). The post-holder will also provide excellent stewardship to build strong and sustainable relationships with the charity’s donors.

The ideal candidate will be a Trusts and Foundations fundraiser with demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with funders and partners, understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. You will have a background in identifying and securing at least five-figure income from prospective Trusts and Foundations and statutory income sources, as well of producing high-quality and completing proposals, reports and presentations. MAIN DUTIES

• Resident engagement, taking and responding to residents’ calls, ensuring that all such engagement is documented on the Goulden House Resident Engagement Database
• Updating the Goulden House Registers (Risk Register, Complaints Register, Anti-Social Behaviour Register, Intercom Databases etc)
• Raise Works Orders and Purchase Orders and services on SAGE as per Estate Manager instruction

As Fundraising Officer, you will support the overall fundraising target for The Stoll Foundation and provide excellent administrative across the team. You will be working with the Fundraising Manager with mailouts and funder visits and support the wider fundraising team in delivering written appeals to individuals for regular giving and legacy campaigns. In addition to this, you will support colleagues to put-on high-quality fundraising events by providing strong administrative support and acting as first point of contact for event participants and attendees where appropriate. You will support on departmental and Stoll wide meetings, preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking and circulating minutes. You will also ensure that the fundraising database, donor files and other written documents are accurate, kept up to date and regularly reviewed.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• High level organisational skills to handle varying administrative tasks effectively
• An understanding of, and commitment to evidence of working in a fundraising team for at least 6 months
• Highly IT literate, with previous knowledge of donor databases and project management systems
• Demonstrable excellent interpersonal and communication skills

OUTLINE OF THE ROLE

Work with the Trustees to devise and lead new fundraising initiatives that fulfil the objectives of the Trust's Fundraising Strategy and annual income budget, with particular focus on regular giving across all alumni, gifts from high-net-worth individuals, and legacies. This will involve:

• Developing and delivering improved communications to build a stronger connected donor network.

• Locating, engaging and retaining alumni to support and promote the Trust, focused on ensuring their long-term impact on the Trust and its beneficiaries.

• Work with the Trustees/Trust Fundraising Committee to devise and implement new fundraising initiatives.

• Work with the Trustees/Trust Fundraising Committee to identify and engage new volunteers to support the Trust's activities.

KEY TASKS

Work with the Trustees and Fundraising Committee to devise and implement the following:

• Improve communications

The Trust has a strong, growing, and engaged network of loyal alumni who already support the Trust's beneficiaries through fundraising and volunteering. However, the Trust's communications need to be improved in order to increase the numbers of donors who provide sustained financial support and inspire all donors to raise their level of donations. Continually find opportunities to engage new donors and ensure clear consistent messaging.

• Manage and maintain donor data

The Trust needs to maintain a full and accurate database of all donors and fundraising activities to support long-term tracking and inform future fundraising. This also requires networking among alumni and being vigilant to changes in alumni data.

• Research and approach alumni whose connection with the Trust has lapsed

Continue to grow the active network through researching and motivating dormant and lapsed alumni to reconnect with the Trust.

• Research untapped prospects

Research the database with a view to identifying dormant and untapped opportunities, especially regarding

high-net-worth individuals and legacies. Ensure fundraising approaches are well-targeted and informed in order to maximise the chances of success. This will expand to include non-alumni sources, including institutional sources such as foundations and other trusts.

• Ensure long-term donor connection

Communicate with all donors to demonstrate the impact they can make by showcasing the current and long-term outcome of programs. Deliver a diverse selection of communications to engage different audiences, with a clear plan for all members of the network. Ensure donors are connected to the Trust, value the Trust's activities and actively help fund opportunities.

• Reporting to the Trustees

Create an annual donor impact report to the Trustees, and other stakeholders such as alumni, that delineates donor statistics, reviews communications and events that have taken place during the past year and identifies potential prospects and events for developing in the coming year. Also provide a lower-level oral report of fundraising activities and communications to the Trustees at their quarterly meetings.

• Deliver income growth target

Acquire enough new donations to meet agreed annual income growth targets set by the Trustees.

You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the charity and its overall objectives. For instance, organizing fund-raising specific events in different regions. This position could evolve into a full-time commitment with a support team, but at the present time, support to this role will be provided through the existing network of volunteers.

This new role at Young Sounds UK will provide a wide range of support across the organisation, managing the logistics for our events, assisting our Development team with vital fundraising tasks, and handling a wide range of organisational administration.

You'll need to be proactive, highly organised, and looking for a busy role within a passionate team. With at least 3 years experience you'll be keen to use your strong communication skills and attention to detail to provide high standards of administrative support.

The Role:
 
As a Data Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Data Manager by ensuring their supporter and contact database (Raiser’s Edge) is effectively maintained and up to date. You will assist the wider Development team with reports and queries, help manage fundraising data and ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor information. 
 
Main responsibilities:
 
Assist in the daily management of the Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring data accuracy through regular audits.  Imports and exports of data.  Provide training and advice to colleagues on database access and usage, ensuring compliance with best practices.  Reconcile and process donations from various sources, including BACS, credit cards, and online platforms.  Run direct debit and gift aid claims, ensuring valid documentation is maintained. Provide key data and segmentation for fundraising appeals and emails, working closely with the communications team.
 
Essential requirements:

• Experience in CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge) and proficiency in MS Excel
• Demonstrable experience supporting charities and fundraising teams in a data role
• Confident working with large datasets
• Solid understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality
• Excellent communicator, a team player, and have a keen eye for detail
• Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise daily tasks and manage deadlines
