This role sits in the Forest IQ team, along with a Research Associate, a Project Manager and the Forest IQ Lead. This is an exciting role in our Supported Accommodation team that will be the first point of contact for the hostel and assist by inputting information on the client database to ensure that all staff have timely and accurate information about residents. You will also assist the Registered Manager in recording and reviewing documentation in relation to the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and our registration and regulation under OFSTED.  Operational Support Coordinator

Salary : £15,000 for a 3 day week 

Facing the Future is a Samaritans service offering peer support groups to people bereaved by suicide.  Since transferring the groups online in February 2021, we have supported over 800 people who have experienced loss by suicide.  The team of facilitators has grown in that time  from 15 to nearly 100 from all over the UK and Ireland. To help us move forward, we are looking for an empathetic individual strong on attention to detail and IT skills to be our Administrator.  This role is designed to give operational support to the service, the volunteer leadership team and to our volunteer Facilitators and Supervisors as we work together to deliver our mission that no-one should have to face this isolating bereavement alone. 

The responsibilities of the role are many and varied and will suit someone who is comfortable with managing a variety of tasks simultaneously.  Responsibilities include managing our confidential databases, and the processes involved in setting up groups for those people on our waiting list, managing communications to group participants and to Facilitators, and supporting our training programme .

This is a part time remote working role with support from the team at Central London Samaritans. 

The successful candidate will be a good communicator who is highly organised and remains calm under pressure. Importantly they should be able to manage change as we will be transferring our current systems over to Salesforce. Good listening skills are essential.

As Project Support Officer you will support the London & South East Area Manager and Regional Managers with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training, giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our London & South East projects as and when required to aid development and growth within the region.

Each of our Projects is run by Project Leaders (volunteer position) and supported by Regional Managers through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your will support the Regional Managers so that they can manage more projects, knowing that you have helped with the embedding of volunteers, along with supporting expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new Project Leaders for the Area.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects. You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.

This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, to support with delivery as necessary, which will include evening and weekend work. As well as projects across London, our South East projects include Southampton, Portsmouth, Aylesbury and exciting new openings in Slough and Reading in 2024.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious supporter care team. The team plays an important role supporting our donors, fundraisers and colleagues.

You’ll be part of a welcoming team, speaking to our supporters daily alongside detailed work recording conversations and donations on our database. As team leader, you’ll take day-to-day responsibility of the supporter care team’s tasks and provide support for more complex queries.

You’ll also help drive forward improvement of our supporter experience with short term projects.

About you

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and passionate about delivering an excellent supporter experience.

You’ll enjoy building relationships and have experience leading and motivating others in a team setting. Taking a proactive and logical approach, you’ll be keen to identify practical solutions to problems.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home. Your office working days may be outlined by your line manager, based on the needs and requirements of the role.

The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting, progressive illness, and support for their families and carers. 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as Head of Fundraising. This pivotal role is responsible for spearheading our fundraising efforts, nurturing key relationships and driving and growing income generation to support our strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and grow our diverse fundraising team, covering areas such as Community, Key Events, Key Relationships, Business Development, In Memory, Legacy, Individual Giving, and Trusts.

· Collaborate with the Director of Income Generation and Digital to develop and implement a robust fundraising strategy.

· Foster a culture of excellence, cooperation, and innovation within the team to exceed financial targets and KPIs.

· Engage with high-profile individuals and businesses, expanding our donor base and securing support for fundraising initiates. 

· Represent the hospice at networking events, delivering presentations to enhance our public image and brand awareness.

· Transition the team away from traditional fundraising methods through event delivery, pivoting into stewardship and relationship based fundraising methods. 

 Ideal Candidate:

· Proven experience in fundraising and team management.

· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

· Strategic thinker with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

· Passionate about palliative care and the hospice mission.
