Role Overview:

The post-holder will be working closely with other members of the Fundraising Department to gain exposure for the charity and the fundraising campaigns run throughout the year.

The Events and Volunteer team is essential to the growth of Muslim Hands both in raising awareness via our events which host thousands of people throughout the year, increasing awareness of our work and generating donations. The post-holder’s role will be central in expanding this and helping further the reach of Muslim Hands.

Main Responsibilities:

• To be the first point of contact for enquires in volunteering and events for post-holder’s local area.

• To support, manage and supervise the recruitment of volunteers.

• To equip head volunteers with the knowledge, motivation and understanding to carry out their role within the community on behalf of Muslim Hands.

• To work closely with key volunteers and groups to maximise Muslim Hands’ presence and work in the local community.

• To support our flagship events in post-holder’s local area including Gaza Winter Walk, Ramadan activities and a range of outdoor and international events.

• To organise and be responsible for local events in post-holder’s area in order to maximise Muslim Hands presence and raise funds for various projects.

• To arrange and attend masjid collections and make announcements to the congregation in the masjid.

• To build relationships with key groups and businesses in post-holder’s local area such as schools, scout groups and supermarkets.

• Ensure that all practices of the work carried out is clearly planned, monitored and evaluated in.

The Director of Fundraising and Engagement plays a crucial part in helping us achieve our vision that no family whose child has cancer, or a life-challenging condition should have to cope alone.  With an ambitious fundraising aim over the next 3 years, you will be leading a dedicated Fundraising and Engagement team to generate in excess of £1.2million income annually.

As a vital part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the CEO. Your role involves leading the Fundraising and Engagement team, where you will develop and implement innovative fundraising and engagement ideas along with bringing a high level of enthusiasm. As a hands-on and creative fundraiser, your pivotal responsibility is to ensure Momentum’s income sustainability while fostering personal growth and development for our team members.

About the role:

We have two events-based roles to support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. About the role:

Working as part of the services team, you’ll be a key player in how we develop and deliver our impactful courses.

All of our courses aim to increase confidence and independence in a supportive environment. They’re also led by people who have a spinal cord injury themselves – allowing participants to learn from others who have who have been there and can understand the issues and challenges. They quite literally transform lives.

With your organisational skills and desire to make a positive impact, you’ll play a vital role in helping us realise our vision of a world where people affected by spinal cord injury can reach their full potential.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working with volunteers, partners and participants to make sure our courses are a success. You’ll be responsible for the administration and logistics to make sure that courses are filled, delivered smoothly and efficiently to make sure our courses are a success and deliver the best possible experience to everyone involved.

You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You’ll enjoy planning and seeing projects through to delivery, be that independently or as part of a wider team.

About you

As our Performance and BI Analyst, you will empower our Marketing & Fundraising teams and ensure that they have the data and insights they need to build and optimise campaigns. You will build and maintain performance reports to track our progress and success and embed a data-driven approach in all our marketing and fundraising efforts.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the scoping, data collection, and creation of high-quality reports. Ensure accuracy and relevance across all business areas.
• Design reports that follow our visual identity, using appropriate visuals and tables for quick insights.
• Identify and resolve any inconsistencies in our data, ensuring reliable reporting.
• Work with other analysts to gather necessary insights and maintain wide business knowledge.
• Collaborate with the Technology team to ensure seamless transition to Salesforce and rebuild reports in Power BI.
• Regularly analyse campaign effectiveness, advising teams on project KPIs and ensuring data generation for effective analysis.
• Develop strong relationships with internal marketing teams to integrate analysis into decision-making processes.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and M query.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel to summarize and graphically represent data.
• Experience with tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics 4 is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and ability to use SQL for data extraction and preparation.
• Proven ability to extract meaning from data and recommend actionable insights.

Main purpose of Job:

Management of day-to-day parish activities including the general administration of the Parish Office, the running of all church operations, including building, fabric, communications, and the organisation of social, outreach and fundraising events (including publicity and marketing) that support the life and ministry of this diverse, vibrant and inclusive church in the modern catholic tradition of the Church of England.

We seek a Parish Administrator & Events Co-ordinator who will help us continue to grow as a community space as we seek to increase our revenue from available spaces to hire and increase our activity in terms of marketing, communications and events,  as part of our mission alongside our local community. You will join a growing and supportive team to work alongside including the Vicar, PCC members, Music Director, Financial Assistant, and others to help St Peter’s fulfil its mission to be a Church which worships, nurtures, and takes action!

Main Duties and Responsibilities & Person Specification:

The Parish Administrator & Events Co-Ordinator is a key person in the life of St Peter’s who works closely with the Vicar, Treasurer, Director of Music, Churchwardens, PCC, regular volunteers and the wider community of De Beauvoir Town. This role is both administrative and a key personal contact for the many individuals and groups in the life of St Peter’s.

Donor Support Officer (Finance and Administration)

Salary: £26,024 per annum available at 28-35 hours per week (pro-rata if part-time)

Length of post: Fixed term for 2 years with the possibility of extension

Location: Kendal or Carlisle with some home/remote working available in line with the needs of the role

The role will support the team through finance and administrative duties but also allow for career development through training, mentoring and the opportunity to gain formal qualifications in this area of work.

Our fundraising team is small, but effective and is supported by the expertise and commitment of our marketing staff.  Our team is dynamic and adaptable and we are looking for a highly motivated administrator who can support the existing team by being adaptable to using their skills and energies to meet the challenges of multiple priorities.  You will be playing to your strengths and benefitting from the strengths of others in our team.

Our income comes primarily from our wonderfully supportive memberships, grants, and donations from individuals, and business supporters.  We are now seeking an efficient administrator with a sound financial background to support our fundraising activities.

Main Responsibilities will include:

• Compiling and processing invoices for grant claims
• Responding to enquiries from businesses and individuals who wish to support our work
• Provide excellent customer service to all our supporters via written and verbal communication
• Administer corporate volunteering days for businesses and arrange bookings with the Trust's conservation teams.
• Updating and administering memberships through our database system (Access Charity CRM)
• Assist the fundraising team with the administration of mailings

As this role is supporting the fundraising team there will be opportunities to develop a career in this area of work. This could be through formal qualifications or through in-house mentoring which could lead to career progression.
