About the role:
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office near Old Street and in co-location at Kings College Hospital. You will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
- Run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital

You will need:
- knowledge of help-seeking barriers & support needs of victims of domestic abuse
- a good understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding thee
- direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people
- good communication, negotiation & advocacy skills, both written & verbal, able to interact with a range of agencies and individuals
- have strong crisis management skills, able to deal with stressful and difficult situations

Carolyn House Service provides housing and support to individuals experiencing mental health issues for up to two years. We promote social inclusion and develop life skills for independent living. Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6 unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living. The service forms part of a pair of services supporting up to 12 individuals at any one time across the sites, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for young people across London on a spot purchase basis.

Summary of Role
Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Support Workers are key to
ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for children and young people. Working with children and young
people in group settings, the role will support the delivery of our play and youth projects and activities to aid their
development.
Responsibilities
● Providing for the social, personal, educational and leisure needs of children and young people by assisting in
the running, organisation and delivery of particular projects.
● Establishing positive relationships with all children and young people supporting and enabling them to
increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all project activities.
● Coordinating resources and to develop opportunities for children and young people which reflects their
particular needs and circumstances.

Hounslow Young People is Supported Accommodation Service for young people and young parents aged 16-25 in Hounslow. About the Role:
Waking Night Support Worker will work in line with person centred risk assessments; support plans and liaise with Support Workers to provide comprehensive handover and partnership working. They will be observant of changes in behaviour and presentations ensuring appropriate actions are taken to document and report changes in support needs of young people. Waking Night Support Worker will be able to carry out all necessary health and safety actions including light cleaning tasks and environment management. Furthermore they will actively seek out ways to work with the team and stakeholders to improve the experience of young people in the service. Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6-unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living.
