Salary Ranges: Social Worker - Salary in the range of £23,929 to £29,246 pro rata per annum (full time equivalent £34,053- £41,620 per annum). Senior Social Worker - Salary in the range of £27,611 to £33,745 pro rata per annum (full time equivalent £39,292- £48,022 per annum)

About the role:

Our Social Worker/Senior Social Worker’s role is a pivotal one within our Adoption service.  Some of your responsibilities will include:

· undertaking ‘home study’ assessments (PARs) and present these to the adoption panel

· support families throughout the matching process and once children are placed, up until the Adoption Order

· participating in recruitment activities and training for prospective adopters

About you:

As a Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in childcare social work and as a Senior Social Worker, a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. You’ll have an understanding of child development and the impact on behaviour of interrupted development. You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, equity and inclusion within service delivery.

We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to deliver and develop services for Young Carers aged 5–16. The role involves three key parts. The first is delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and give Young Carers a break from their responsibilities. The second is providing one-to-one support to help Young Carers manage challenges, access services, and prioritise their mental and emotional wellbeing. The third is leading outreach to identify and engage hidden Young Carers. 

About The Role: 

You will work across two key age groups, 5–11 and 12–16, delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. Alongside group activities, you will offer one-to-one support to individual Young Carers, ensuring they feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. You will also deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls, and build partnerships in the community to identify and engage Young Carers. 

This is a part-time post (3 days per week). The regular days will be Wednesday - Friday, However flexibility is required, with regular evening and occasional weekend work.

Linden Road in Redbourn supports 2 gentlemen living in their own bungalows with everyday life skills. The service provides a 24/7 support service, with an emphasis on choice and control, enabling customers to achieve greater independence, improved quality of life and integration into the wider community.
We are looking some someone who is able to build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere. You need to be able to provide a flexible, personalised and responsive support service that is tailored to each customer's abilities and aspirations. This will include a willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Customers need support with daily living activities, including practical assistance, cooking, feeding, cleaning and person care. The role will also require you to maintain appropriate records to a professional standard in accordance with Look Ahead's policies and procedures. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Children Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges.

The job involves working closely children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse.  A key requirement is to provide personal one to one and group support to children and young people to ensure they are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

The post holder will support children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence and plan and provide stimulating, safe, and appropriate activities.

• Welcoming new Guests and completinig Initial Assessments using a person-centred collaborative approach
• Agreeing and implementing a Housing and Support Action Plan

• Making referrals and liaising with other support agencies
• Updating progress on Guests' Housing and Support Plans, and changing circumstances
• Providing practical and emotional support to guests with complex needs, such as trauma, mental health issues, or substance use
• Help to maintain a safe and welcoming environment within the Day Centre
• Working in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Charity

East London Apartments provides 24 hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).

East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach which was developed to support people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. However, its application is far broader than only homelessness. It considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

When working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly testing boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect, years of street homelessness, or long stays in mental health hospitals, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. They should continually hold aspirations for individuals despite multiple setbacks, and display emotional resilience, able to process challenging incidents and remain motivated to deliver excellent support.Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

This role involves waking nights shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with10 hour shifts.

A fantastic locum opportunity for skilled Outreach workers who have front line experience supporting rough sleepers.

You will be working at our Christmas Day Centres to engage with our guests looking for help, guidance, and support around their housing situation, especially those who are believed to currently be rough sleeping.

You will be employed  directly by Crisis during this period, for this reason any applications must be with permission from your current employer which must be sought and cannot be assumed.

Experience required

· Demonstrable experience of working directly with rough sleepers (e.g., in outreach, day centres or similar services)

· Good knowledge of voluntary sector services and statutory rights of homeless people

· Ability to deal flexibly with a broad range of clients, and with challenging behaviour.

· Current registered CHAIN user

Shifts

Shifts will be 9am – 6pm and Day Centre Outreach workers must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts to be accepted into the role.

You will also accrue annual leave during this work, which will be calculated according to statutory guidelines and will be paid in your final payslip. Holiday entitlement will be calculated as 12.07% of actual hours worked and equates to approximately £3.80 per hour for bank holidays worked and £2.40 per hour for non-bank holiday work.

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.  

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have staff offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.  

We seek like-minded women to join our enthusiastic team of workers, all of us passionate about the vital and valuable work we do to support women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, and tackling the wider issues of violence against women and girls. 

Key Responsibilities
To assist the refuge manager in the day-to-day running of the refuge, developing and delivering a front line service offering support, advice and guidance to women and their children living in the refuge.

*BSWA provides safe secure accommodation to some of the most vulnerable women and children therefore in order to ensure we provide maximum support and safety it is essential that our service is available to them 24/7. We do this through operating an on-site rota that covers weekends, evenings and bank holidays as well as a 24 hour call out system

 

EXPERIENCE:

Experience of providing practical and emotional support to women and children affected by domestic violence

Experience of offering advice and information and advocating for service users on a range of issues including homelessness, benefits, legal, social welfare issues etc.

Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with external agencies

Experience of working within safeguarding guidelines to protect and promote the well-being of children and vulnerable adults

About the role

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker within Primary Care, you’ll work with Wakefield’s communities, connecting people tolocal non-medical services, support, and activities that help tackle health inequalities and improve quality of life. You’ll:

• Support people one-to-one to identify their needs, set wellbeing goals, and access community-based solutions
• Be embedded within a local Primary Care Network and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Develop and grow strong partnerships with voluntary and community organisations, and NHS and social care services

We’re looking for individuals who:

• Are great listeners, relationship builders, and natural motivators
• Are experienced in supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing, including those with complex needs, or from diverse communities
• Are confident working independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
• Are committed to equality, inclusion, and making support accessible to all
• Have a strong understanding of health inequalities and social determinants of health
• Have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills
• Have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle

To provide this service in Urdu where required so that the service is more accessible to them and we are better able to meet the needs of the family. To lead on domestic violence awareness raising sessions with children/young people and professionals
