The Head of Fundraising will lead all fundraising activities, overseeing the full spectrum of income generation to support our mission of empowering young people through football and education. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead on fundraising for an organisation which has barely scratched the surface of the fundraising landscape. There is autonomy over the direction of travel with a lot of support from the CEO on ideas and future programmes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Strategic Fundraising Leadership
o Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow income across all streams, aligning with the Foundation’s goals.
o Set long-term targets for income growth, monitoring progress and adapting strategies to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
o Act as a key ambassador, representing the Foundation at senior-level meetings with funders and corporate leaders to secure support.
· Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory Funding
o Lead on securing multi-year grants from major trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies, producing compelling applications and stewardship reports.
o Manage a portfolio of high-value trust relationships, cultivating new leads and ensuring personalised engagement to maximise funding.
o Oversee statutory funding bids, including government departments and local authorities, to support programme.

The Role
To undertake all aspects of warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient distribution of food each day. You will have responsibility for coordination of our food stock, from goods-in to picking, dispatch and stock rotation and will be expected to drive vans, and Forklift Trucks.
As the Community Food Member champion you will be responsible for liaising with our community food members. This will include duties such as managing collection schedules and liaising with the member services team to resolve any day-to-day queries.
Working closely with the wider team and volunteers, you will also support the monitoring and utilisation of warehouse space, stock, deliveries and collections to ensure food reaches its destination amongst our members safely, on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations
- Undertake all warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient coordination and distribution and of food
- Work closely with the member services team to ensure all lines of communication to CFMs are recorded and day to day issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- To work to performance indicators so that stock is accurate, and delivery routes are efficient to allow the organisation to grow
- To ensure that all work areas – both inside and outside the warehouse - are clean, organised and safe to work in
- Follow all H&S and Food Safety standards set out in the FareShare policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all our colleagues & visitors, and the safe receipt of food by all our members.

Main purpose of post
This role is to lead and be responsible for the development, management and
delivery of WPCC’s high quality, professional counselling and complementary
therapy services for adults, and for children and young people, at the Cavendish
Centre and in outreach locations. This role supports the holistic well-being of

To lead and be responsible for the delivery of effective service provision,

1,000 beneficiaries per annum, including outreach provision in hospitals.
To be responsible for the management of a complementary therapy and
counselling services budget of around £500,000 per annum.
Leadership & Service Development
Lead and develop complementary therapy and counselling services to
meet the needs of clients, families, and carers.
Plan and schedule timetables and freelance staffing rotas to maximise
the availability of counselling and complementary therapies within
available budgets, maximising freelancer availability and efficient
appointment scheduling.
Evaluate and enhance service delivery in line with best practices, clinical
guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement service improvements, based on user feedback,
evidence-based practice, and sector developments.
Work effectively with the Head of Cancer Services and other service leads
to ensure counselling and complementary therapies are an integral part
of the wider WPCC service offer to people affected by cancer.
To be part of a service lead team which can provide leadership cover
across all services to address day-to-day operational issues, including
safeguarding cover (for adult and children’s services) and maintenance
of service availability.
Freelance therapist management
Recruit, support, and manage a multidisciplinary team of freelance
counsellors, therapists, and volunteers.
Ensure therapists delivering these services are of a suitable quality, and
have up-to-date and relevant accreditation/professional registration to practice, including clinical supervision arrangements, insurance, CPD
and DBS checks.
Provide professional oversight of freelance therapists ensuring all
professional standards are met
Ensure all team members adhere to safeguarding, clinical governance,
and confidentiality standards.
To ensure therapists delivering these services are of a suitable quality
and have up-to-date and relevant accreditation/professional registration
to practice, including clinical supervision arrangements, insurance, CPD
and DBS checks.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ethical standards and legal
requirements in counselling and complementary therapy (e.g. BACP,
CNHC, HCPC).
Oversee risk assessments, safeguarding processes, and incident
reporting procedures.
Monitor and report on service performance using agreed metrics and
impact evaluation tools.
Client Care & Support
Ensure services are inclusive, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and
tailored to individual needs.

About the role:
- Under the supervision of CGL’s Cluster Manager, you will lead the delivery of services that empower Children, Young People, and their Families to overcome issues around substance misuse.
- The post holder will provide line management to practitioners within the service and will be responsible for the operational management and strategic development of the service.

Job Summary

Core Purpose:
The Head of Public Fundraising is a pivotal strategic leadership role at Make-A-Wish UK, responsible for the strategic direction, planning, delivery, long-term growth and performance of all public fundraising and supporter engagement activity.
This includes strategic oversight of all public income streams - individual giving (cash, regular giving, lottery, payroll), legacies, in-memory giving, challenge events, community fundraising, owned products, and innovation—as well as operational leadership of the Supporter Care team, which manages supporter care, income processing, data imports, and inbound queries for the whole organisation.
The role leads a multi-disciplinary team of around 20, across four core public fundraising and engagement functions, who are responsible for delivery of a high-performing public fundraising programme and sector-leading supporter care function - acquiring, engaging, and retaining supporters at scale, growing income sustainably and ensuring every interaction reflects Make-A-Wish’s values and drives long-term income growth.

The Early Intervention Coordinator is a key role within the School Based Needs Service, working as part of the borough and district-based community teams, comprised of NHS staff and third sector workforce under the umbrella of The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership. • Provide advice, guidance and signposting to young people and their families, that will connect them to resources that will support young people’s wellbeing.
• To operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity and ensures all work is sensitive to a range of ethnic, cultural and religious groups, is gender sensitive and anti-discriminatory.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with key school staff in secondary schools and Schools Based Needs Team
• Work in close partnership and collaboratively with pastoral staff in school, Surrey Wellbeing Partners, Surrey and Borders NHS Partnership, Surrey Children’s Services, local Mental Health Support Teams and other community-based services to provide the most effective service for children, young people and families.
• Ensure that children and young people with more intensive support needs are put in touch with relevant Intensive Intervention services (whilst continuing to provide support until the intensive support is in place).
3. Impact, Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting
• Accurately record individual engagement and evidence of change using appropriate outcomes data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated.
• To collect and share case studies that demonstrate good practice and the impact of interventions on outcomes for children and young people.
• Work with colleagues and line manager to ensure that your work is aligned to organisational strategy, key objectives and annual plans and budgets.
4. Personal Development/Other Duties
• Keep up to date with good practice, legislation and policies that have an impact on service delivery at Eikon
• Work within Eikon’s internal policies, safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection regulations
• Work as part of a team to lead and inspire collaboration across Eikon
• Attend training as discussed and agreed between yourself and line manager
• Attend team meetings and engage in 1:1 supervision
• Work co-operatively and under the management of The Eikon Charity staff to ensure the highest quality of delivery and support
• Be responsible for equipment/resources linked to service delivery

1st Place is a local success story. Born out of the vision from parents and children in 2005, we are now the recognised voluntary sector provider of early years and Best Start Family Hub services in Southwark.
We are first and foremost a hub of support for families with young children, from birth to rising five years and beyond which enables both children and parents to thrive. This includes health, parenting, as well as early years education through open access services and our highly regarded day nurseries.
The challenges facing the families and communities we serve are ever present. We live in economically difficult times, which impacts the greatest on people who are already disadvantaged.
We seek a new Director who can take us forward to achieve even more and expand our geographical reach within the borough. This will be done only through vision and by partnering with other local providers of complementary services, commissioners and other potential funders of who there are many and as yet untapped.
You will bring the inspiring leadership, strategic foresight, and operational oversight that ensures that 1st Place continues to be “the place where children and families come first, the place where caring for the environment is second nature” and that we continue to be the go-to choice provider for partners, commissioners and funders.
1st Place is now a complex operation with many moving parts. You will need to be both strategic and outward facing as well as be ‘hands on’ in interacting with the children and families we work with and provide the visible leadership to staff and volunteers to enable them to continue to excel in OFSTED inspection, contract reviews and charity regulation.
