This is an exciting opportunity to work as a refuge worker within a refuge service, supporting women and their children fleeing domestic abuse. Your responsibilities will include supporting and advocating for women and children, taking part in the on-call rota, managing day to day running of the refuge; health & safety, safeguarding and supporting the service and deputy manager.

You’ll spend your time:
- Supporting the team (including Directors and Deputy Directors) with diary management, travel arrangements, accommodation, conference registrations, and expense claims.
- Organising and supporting relevant internal and external meetings, including a regular programme of lunch time learning sessions.
- Providing administrative support for research and policy project work, including proofreading, collating, data entry and maintaining electronic files as required.
- Working with other operational team members to provide general support across the Nuffield Trust.

This role will support us to deliver an excellent service to our members and those engaged with our CPD pathways, publications and research activity.
Requirements
We are looking to recruit a Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement on a part-time contract. This is an exciting new role that will play a key part in our continued growth and will make a real impact on the teaching profession; we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and the work we do.
Working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive, Associate Director: Partnerships and the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement will take a lead on activity related to attracting and retaining our individual teacher members, including developing, rolling out and evaluating recruitment and retention programmes, initiatives and campaigns for current and prospective members. The successful candidate will be confident using data to inform decision-making and monitor progress towards membership growth targets and have the ability to work well independently and within a team.

- Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, planning recruitment campaigns and strategising content and resources for membership initiatives
- With the Associate Director: Partnerships, ensuring join-up between group membership sales and individual member sales
- Promoting and representing the Chartered College to potential members at events
- Working with the Membership Manager to ensure a seamless experience for members from their first interaction with us
- Recording, presenting, formatting and analysing data in a variety of ways to report to colleagues and stakeholders, including against KPIs.
- Performing other activities as and when required to support the wider team to achieve the charity’s goals.
Alongside your main areas of work, you will also participate in meetings and be encouraged to participate in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills.
You don’t need to have expertise in absolutely all areas, but we’re looking for someone who is motivated by our vision and truly passionate about membership growth and supporting teachers. Systems you would be using include Salesforce, DotDigital, Google Workspace, Zoom, Submittable and Slack.
Experience and skills:
- Experience in a sales or business development role (essential), with experience of membership or subscription sales highly desirable
- Experience working in the education sector (highly desirable)
- Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating sales initiatives and campaigns (essential)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills (essential)
- Experience of Salesforce or other CRM systems (essential)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (desirable)

Thrive at Five, a national early years charity are looking for a dynamic early years professional (would suit an experienced EYFS teacher) to work in our pathfinder project area as a Peripatetic Support Leader. The role involves supporting a number of workstreams designed to support professionals, parents and educational settings working with children aged 3 to 5.
This role is key to the successful role out of Thrive at Five’s model, particularly as it applies to children of nursery and school age. The role is about collaborating with a small value-based team operating in Bentilee and Abbey Hulton in Stoke on Trent, and about fostering collaboration between a wide group of stakeholders in the two ward areas and across Stoke more widely. We are not a delivery organization but seek to support a wide variety of stakeholders operating in the early years to work together, and with parents and carers, to support children’s good development. We co-develop sustainable solutions which are delivered and owned by local stakeholders.
Crucial to the success of the project is using your own knowledge and skills, leveraging local and national expertise to support the development of high-quality practice across the early year’s settings and places where parents with children under five attend.
The role will include the co-development with local stakeholders and the delivery, by them, of projects to improve early language and communication and to enrich the home learning environment. The role involves working closely with the Deputy Partnership and Programme Lead (DPPL), the Early Years Lead (0-2) and other Thrive leaders, assisting them to ensure the delivery of high-quality parent, baby and toddler groups including the provision of in the development of high quality, evidence informed home learning materials. The evidence is clear that high quality early years education plays a positive role in raising attainment and closing the gap between outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and other children. This post is about making this happen in the areas where Thrive at Five work and supporting our partners to achieve this.
Stoke-on-Trent is the first place where Thrive at Five has a programme. The learning from Stoke and other places we work will inform the development of a Thrive at Five model, to be replicated and scaled nationally. This role comes with an expectation of close collaboration with our external learning partner, external evaluation partner, the national Thrive at Five team and teams across the UK, with a commitment to sharing learning and best practice all with a view to enabling more children to thrive and reach their full potential.

ROLE & DUTIES:
1. Act as the early year’s education and childcare learning and care subject matter expert for the programme. and ensure best practice is disseminated.
2. Act as the relationship manager with all early year’s settings in Bentilee and Abbey Hulton and build strong and trusting relationships through regular timetabled meetings with appropriate early years personnel, including childminders.
3. Act as the relationship manager with stakeholders in Stoke-on-Trent who are directly involved in the delivery or who support the delivery of high-quality education and childcare.
4. Take responsibility and accountability for of all 3–5-year-old focused workstreams co-designed to support better outcomes associated with 3- 5-year-old provision and services in line with Thrive at Five’s theory of change.
5. Work closely with Partnership and Programme Lead for Stoke, Deputy Partnership and Programme Lead and the national team to develop robust strategies for 3–5-year-olds (as these evolve from time to time, and as currently defined in point 4).
6. Work with the DPPL on implementation plans for and manage the implementation of the strategies for:
· Improved early language and communications (NELI, Talking Time) including peripatetic support where required and be the link for NELI and Talking Time Workstreams
· Work with others for the smooth transition into nursery and school Ready Steady Stoke.
· Improved home learning environment through evidence-informed parent engagement in nurseries and schools e.g., PEEP
7. Act as the link with all early year’s settings in Bentilee and Abbey Hulton through timetabled meetings with appropriate early years personnel, including childminders to strengthen local practice.
8. Build and sustain an (external) 3-5 Working Group – to ensure local stakeholders are empowered to participate fully in and take co-ownership of workstreams developed by Thrive at Five.
9. Ensure that the 3-5 Working Group includes representation from practitioners from non-school settings, and individuals from any other local voluntary, private and public sector organisations whose role has a direct bearing on the development and delivery of the 3-5 workstreams.
10. Be a part of the dissemination of good practice.
11. Undertake the line management of the Flexi Support staff recruited to provide capacity to early year school settings in the delivery of the Thrive at Five workstreams.
12. The appropriate candidate will need to be able to work confidently with settings and appropriate partners to ensure the early years 3-5 in target wards are as effective possible.
13. Collaborate with the learning and impact teams (internal and external) fundraising and wider national team and other Thrive at Five teams as required.
14. Support settings in their endeavours to improve the number of children reaching GLD and for Thrive to achieve it primary goal.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A teaching qualification, preferably in Early Years is required for this post.

YMCA West Sussex Transitional housing provides safe, secure accommodation for young people aged 18-25, who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. Our staff team comprises of Supported Housing Support Workers, Mobile Night Workers and two Managers. We offer a support package alongside the accommodation to actively encourage residents into education, training, employment or voluntary work.
In delivering the role, you will work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our transitional accommodation service. You will have your own caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively alongside young people to develop their assets and talents and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability. You will have a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk. There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role.
This role is based on site in Horsham and will cover Transitional services across Horsham, Crawley, Burgess Hill and Worthing. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Job Purpose: To develop and manage, to a high standard, Age UK Bromley & Greenwich’s Information and Advice Service. To be responsible for the effective delivery of the I&A Service which will be delivered through a range of channels, including face to face, telephone, email, digital, and other means, across the Bromley and Greenwich boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:
Line management and supervision
- Provide line management and supervision to advisers and support staff.
- Supervising team advice sessions and casework
- Manage the practicalities of the advice session and ensure adequate staffing and resources.
- Undertake monthly supervision with individual team members and annual appraisal.
- Ensure referrals are actioned and clients are supported in a timely manner.
- Develop team competence in key advice areas. (Benefits, Housing, Social care)
- Provide technical support to advisers and identify areas of further development for individuals and the team.
Support learning and development
- Support the team to embrace continuous learning and development and provide timely feedback on cases reviewed.
- Make recommendations for staff training and development areas of need.
Staff recruitment and development
- Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well-managed, dignity at work is upheld and everyone can do their best.
- Participate in recruitment and selection activities as delegated.
- Undertake new staff induction.
- Ensure the team receive appropriate support, supervision and appraisal and have opportunities for continuous learning and development.
Quality assurance and reporting
- Undertake Independent File Reviews ( IFR) and monitor the quality to meet quality standards and service level agreements
- Maintain and develop QAS/ AQS standards incl. renewal process.
- Ensure remedial and developmental issues are identified and acted on to develop individuals, improve the quality of advice, and ensure clients do not suffer detriment due to poor or inadequate advice.
- Keep technical knowledge up to date and provide technical support to advisers.
- Maintain a case load as demonstration of ongoing personal development and learning.
- Undertake advice work as required e.g. during staff absences.
- Provide statistical reports on outputs and outcomes as required by funders and management
- Review and implement outcome measures for the work of the I&A team, including an annual survey of clients.
Partnership working and development
- To manage networking/ liaison with other local key stakeholders and organisations and feed into wider local engagement and community development work.
- Develop effective partner relationships with referral agencies across both boroughs, and to refer/ signpost cases to external agencies as appropriate.
- Represent the organisation at outreach and community events as required, continuing to raise the organisational profile and develop wider awareness of our services.
- Work with colleagues to develop marketing materials, give talks and presentations, identify outreach opportunities .
- Identify opportunities to develop and grow the wider information and advice service

St Christopher’s Learning Support Team are looking for a part-time (2 days) Senior Learning Mentor for the London Region to cover the London Accommodation Pathways (LAP) and other Services we provide.
About the Role
The Learning Support Team offers support to Teams helping young people to develop core skills – both practical and academic, widen their existing interests, and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, Maths and English tuition, tailored to individual needs; working with the rest of the team around the young person to ensure all our young people are provided with appropriate access to education engagement.

Sessions can take place anywhere from the beach to the kitchen via the garden and the gym.
