JOB PURPOSE
The Major Giving Manager – Trusts and Foundations will sit within the newly formed Major Giving team, playing a pivotal role in driving new business and helping to deliver £3.36m of income across major giving in the financial year 2025/26.
Reporting to the Major Giving Lead – Trusts & Foundations, this role will lead on new business development within the trusts and foundations portfolio, with a strong focus on identifying, cultivating, and securing support from new funders. The postholder will be expected to proactively generate and pursue opportunities, using creativity, insight, and strong relationship-building skills to grow a robust pipeline of high-value prospects.
This role will involve actively networking, attending events, initiating and developing relationships with prospective funders, and creating compelling, tailored proposals to secure significant new income. Alongside this primary focus on new business, the postholder will also contribute to the stewardship and growth of existing funders to maximise long-term value and impact.
Working collaboratively across the wider Major Giving team, the role will support cross-portfolio opportunities and integrated cultivation strategies, and where appropriate, flex to support engagement with individual donors. The postholder will also work closely with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to prospecting, relationship management, and pipeline development.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and entrepreneurial fundraiser, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills, who thrives on building new relationships and securing income. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES New Business
Lead the development and delivery of new business across the trusts and foundations portfolio, driving a significant contribution to the Major Giving target of £3.36m in 2025/26 and building a strong pipeline for future years.
Proactively identify, research and pursue high-value funding opportunities, using insight, creativity, and sector knowledge to generate a strong and diverse prospect pipeline, and working collaboratively with the Major Giving team to share intelligence and avoid duplication.
Take ownership of cultivating new prospects, initiating and developing relationships through networking, events, and direct engagement, and confidently progressing opportunities from early-stage prospecting through to secured income.
Prepare, develop and submit compelling, high-quality proposals and budgets tailored to funder priorities, with a strong focus on securing larger, multi-year and strategic funding opportunities (£50,000+).
Design and implement proactive and strategic cultivation pathways for new funders, including multi-touch engagement plans and partnership approaches with colleagues to strengthen relationships and maximise conversion.
Work cross-organisationally to identify, shape and develop fundable projects, proactively aligning organisational priorities with funder interests to unlock new income opportunities.
Contribute to the development of compelling cases for support and propositions, using insights from the trusts and foundations landscape to inform and strengthen wider major giving and philanthropic strategies.
Work closely with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to proactively coordinate and drive approaches to trusts and foundations based in Scotland, aligning on prospecting, relationship development, proposal activity and pipeline growth.
Act as a key driver of new business momentum across the wider Major Giving team, flexing to support pipeline development, cultivation and conversion activity across portfolios, including with individual major donors where required.
Account management
Successfully manage relationships within your own portfolio of trusts and foundations, ensuring timely reporting and effective communication.
Champion the interests of major giving and trusts and foundations across the organisation, ensuring grant conditions are met and project outcomes are achieved.
Support the team to deliver strategic, multi-year partnerships and steward key funders.
Adopt a relationship management approach that integrates with the wider Major Giving team’s stewardship framework – creating holistic experiences for funders who support across multiple income streams.
Flex to provide stewardship support across major giving, where necessary working to develop relationships and high quality stewardship with individual donors and family foundations.
Collaborate with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to ensure consistent and high-quality stewardship for Scottish-based funders, sharing insight and best practice.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Support our department approach to ‘one-team’ by acting as a bridge between Trusts, Corporate and Major Donor functions, ensuring shared insight, coordination of funder approaches, and alignment of messaging and impact reporting.
Work with Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships colleagues to identify overlapping funder networks and co-create engagement opportunities (e.g., joint briefings, events, or site visits).
Collaborate proactively with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to ensure that opportunities, reporting, and engagement in Scotland align with national fundraising priorities.
Contribute to the Major Giving team’s collective cultivation and stewardship calendar, ensuring trust and foundation supporters are part of key strategic engagement moments.
Management and Leadership
Support the development of junior members within the Major Giving team (e.g., Major Giving Administrator), providing guidance and feedback to maintain a high standard of proposals and stewardship materials.
Work with the Major Giving Leads and the Head of Major Giving to support the forecasting of income from current and potential donors.
Deputise for the Major Giving Lead – Trust and Foundations where necessary.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate restrictions, financial reporting processes, and project budget management.
Take an active role in helping to set, deliver, and evaluate progress against the Major Giving team strategy and goals, especially those relating to Trusts & Foundations.
General Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial, performance and account management records via Salesforce.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge and Experience
Proven experience of securing significant new funding from trusts and foundations (ideally £50,000+), with a strong track record in new business development, or relevant transferable experience.
Demonstrable success in identifying, cultivating and converting new prospects into long-term funding relationships.
Experience of building and managing a robust prospect pipeline, from initial research through to secured income.
Experience of working with databases (Salesforce experience desirable) to support pipeline development, tracking and income generation.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Trusts, in a lovely team of three. You will play a lead role and help the team raise their income target of c£1.7m income from a range of Trusts and Foundations.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a pioneering programme that could reshape how kinship families are supported across England.
Kinship is undertaking a pilot Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected, a Kinship Navigator programme designed to provide intensive, specialist support to kinship carers and help them navigate complex systems.
This is a multi-partner programme involving funders, independent evaluators, participating local authorities, internal delivery teams and kinship carers with lived experience.
Kinship Navigators are at the heart of delivery. You will work directly with kinship carers in the community and in their homes, providing intensive 1-to-1 support and facilitating local support groups, while working closely with local authority partners and other services.
Because the programme forms part of a pilot RCT, maintaining high-quality case records and accurate data collection is critical. Your work will contribute directly to the evidence base about what works for kinship families.

About the role:
The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.
Working directly with kinship carers, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.
This is a community-facing role, working directly with kinship carers in homes, community spaces and through co-location with local authority teams and partner organisations.
The role requires a combination of high-quality relational practice and disciplined case recording. As part of the pilot RCT, accurate documentation of activity, progress and outcomes is essential to ensure the programme can be evaluated and improved.
You will work closely with the Programmes Manager, delivery team, researchers and local authority partners to ensure the programme is delivered consistently, ethically and to a high standard, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in supporting kinship families from all backgrounds.

Establishing and facilitating a monthly support group for kinship carers in your area.
Mapping local services and building relationships with organisations that can provide specialist support, training or activities for kinship families.
Liaising with schools, local authorities and other professionals to coordinate support.
Supporting kinship carers with challenges relating to the child(ren) in their kinship care.
Signposting to relevant services, support organisations and Kinship training opportunities.
Coordinating celebration and family events (including in Kinship Care Week).

Follow all operational and data collection requirements of the pilot feasibility RCT, ensuring activity and outcomes are recorded consistently to support independent evaluation.
Fully contribute to monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and learning processes, including collecting feedback and case studies that demonstrate impact.

The role of Specialist Support Worker involves supporting a caseload of clients who are experiencing homelessness and taking part in regular outreach visits to temporary accommodation (TA) across Greater Manchester. The role requires the use of specialist knowledge and relationship skills to support clients with varying degrees of mental and physical health, addiction and trauma related issues to engage with health services and to access suitable housing solutions. The Specialist Support Worker is also expected to develop good working relationships with TA Landlords and Managers ensuring that their residents experience of TA is as positive as possible.
This will include advocacy in registering them for medical services and accompanying them to appointments, assisting them in addressing all aspects of physical and mental health and substance addiction needs, as well as advocating for them to get access to suitable housing and social security benefits. The role is dependent on excellent communication and collaborative working with colleagues and a variety of partners, including the Probation Service, local council services and other third sector organisations.
The role requires a high degree of motivation in addition to creativity and flexibility to support people with multiple and compound needs. With a passion to work collaboratively with others for the good of our clients, and with experience of working in a related field in a voluntary or paid capacity.

What you’ll do
As Post Production Manager, you will oversee the Video Team’s post-production operations and line-manage our Video Editors (1 x Video Editor and 2 x Junior Video Editors). You will lead the team in delivering high-quality video content for our platform, ensuring all output meets our editorial standards. You will manage the post-production workflow, support wider projects across the Video Team, and contribute hands-on to editing a variety of videos for the platform.
Your key responsibilities:
Assign post-production tasks to Video Editors and Junior Video Editors, manage the edit schedule, set deadlines, and sign off on edits that meet our high standards. Guide, mentor, and develop team members in editing skills and post-production workflows.
Manage key deliverables from organising footage on Dropbox to ensuring projects are live on the platform.

About the role:
We are seeking a highly organised and driven Project and Operations Manager to help streamline processes, deliver key initiatives, and support our continued growth in our Training team. In this role, you will bring together complex communications, requests, and ideas, translating them into clear plans, structured workflows, and effective processes that ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects. You will combine strong planning and organisational expertise with a practical, hands-on approach to implementation. Comfortable managing competing priorities, you will remain flexible and adaptable, responding effectively to unforeseen challenges while keeping projects on track.

You will be working in close collaboration and guided by the Training Manager and senior leadership staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the project management of all training programmes and services, ensuring effective planning, coordination, delivery, evaluation, and reporting
Provide day-to-day coordination and effective leadership, including clear direction and support to the training team (currently three reports)
Oversee all aspects of contract delivery, including project planning, timelines, budget management, communications, and reporting to clients, partners and internal teams
Manage and maintain updates of a training calendar identifying activity, allocating trainers to training courses to ensure quality delivery of courses
Working with managers and team in Training, oversee the Assistant Trainers (freelance trainers) communications, allocations, contracts, feedback and allocation of work
Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with external partners and clients, ensuring all interactions reflect the strategic direction and protect the reputation of the charity
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, using strong negotiation and influencing skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
Monitor and report on project progress and performance, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all training activities and identifying and raising risks or issues early
Working with managers in Finance and Training, set realistic targets, manage budgets, cross-checking invoices, and capacity, and track project performance against agreed KPIs
Support quality assurance across training programmes, including accreditation requirements, reviewing and proofreading materials, adherence to brand, copyright and maintaining high standards of training materials
Working with managers in Marketing and Training. oversee and provide reports on training evaluation data and feedback to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Working collaboratively with the Marketing team to ensure a consistent flow of content to promote the courses, such as upcoming training, feedback quotes and data, website updates, training videos and raising courses that align with campaigns
Working with managers in Communications, implement improvements to systems, processes, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and the client experience from initial enquiry through to evaluation
Support the growth of the organisation’s training offer by identifying and assessing opportunities for new partnerships, services, and income generation
Maintain oversight of the effective and consistent use of operational systems and platforms across the team (such as Salesforce, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Monday), recommending improvements where appropriate
Working across the training team, ensure activities comply with relevant policies and regulations, including health and safety, safeguarding, suicide prevention, and ethical standards
Undertake additional duties as required to improve the function of the Training team, as directed by your line manager.

Essential Skills and Experience:
A recognised project management qualification or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering them from initiation through to completion across cross-functional teams
Strong ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data, identify risks, and recognise emerging trends to inform decision-making
Experience writing high-quality reports for clients, clearly demonstrating project progress, outcomes, and impact
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams, fostering collaboration and high performance
Highly self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed environment
Evidence of developing and improving processes and procedures to increase organisational efficiency and effectiveness
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, CRM systems, and email marketing platforms
Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders
Strong negotiation, influencing, and diplomacy skills, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes, including growing client engagement
Experience representing and communicating with senior stakeholders and decision-makers internally and externally
Experience in operational, financial, and business planning, including budget management and monitoring
Understanding of accessible communications, brand consistency, key messaging, and reputation management
Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Project management experience within teaching and learning environments, including e-learning development or delivery
Understanding of quality assurance processes, including reviewing and maintaining training or educational materials
Experience using AI tools responsibly and effectively, with awareness of both the opportunities and potential risks
Experience working in the non-profit or charitable sector
Experience collaborating with a diverse range of clients, such as non-profit organisations, county councils, corporate organisations, and the Civil Service
Knowledge or experience in health and social care, mental health, or suicide prevention
Experience with design principles and accessibility in communications, ensuring materials are inclusive and user-friendly
Familiarity with platforms such as Eventbrite, Salesforce, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp
Awareness of marketing and promoting training courses
Experience conducting competitor research and analysing data to inform improvements and decision-making.

Data Insight Manager

The Data Insight Manager for our Finance and Data team will play a vital role in strengthening RNID’s understanding of our audiences and improving how we use data to drive timely, targeted and impactful communications.
You will conduct campaign selections, audience insights and segmentation, working closely with the Senior Data Analyst and fundraising teams to deliver accurate, compliant and high‑quality data for supporter engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to shape supporter journeys, contribute to audience segmentation development and support a data audit as part of RNID’s supporter engagement strategy.
What you will be doing
· Deliver high‑quality campaign selections and ensure robust, compliant data processes.
· Provide meaningful insights to inform decision‑making and improve supporter engagement.
· Develop and maintain segmentation logic, profiling, and audience insights.
· Support cross‑charity projects including segmentation development, data audits, and supporter journey design.
· Improve data quality by identifying issues and recommending enhancements.
You bring strong analytical skills, experience producing campaign selections, and the ability to interpret complex data and translate it for non‑technical audiences. You are collaborative, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities to deliver high‑quality outputs. You have experience using CRM systems and query tools (e.g., Dynamics 365, SQL or other selection tools), and ideally experience in segmentation, profiling, or direct marketing. You are purpose‑driven and willing to learn about deaf culture.
