This is one of the most important roles within Shine Cancer Support. You’ll be overseeing and supporting Shine’s volunteers around the country, ensuring that they have what they need to reach as many young adults with cancer as possible. You’ll also work closely with Shine’s Programme Delivery Manager to deliver training and support programmes directly to young adults with cancer and healthcare professionals.
Location: Hybrid, with two days per week at Shine’s offices in Blackheath, South East London or in Poole, Dorset.
Hours & salary: Full time (35 hours per week). Salary range is £33,000 - £35,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
This is a one year contract to cover maternity leave starting mid/late January 2026.

Volunteer Support

Support Shine’s volunteer Network Leaders across England, Scotland and Wales to develop their Shine Networks, ensuring that they provide the best possible support to young adults with cancer. This will include an annual support plan, developing and testing new ways of expanding Shine’s reach, and regular catch-up calls.

Work with Shine staff and facilitators to recruit, train and support new volunteers from across the UK.

Deliver an annual plan for training and support, touching on issues such as outreach and fundraising.

Maintain and develop Shine’s online information pages for Shine volunteers.

Programme Delivery

Assist the Programme Delivery Manager and facilitators to deliver Shine’s core programmes (Break Out programme, Shine Circles) to Shine beneficiaries, as well as training to healthcare professionals.

Create new connections with healthcare professionals across the UK. This will include linking to relevant Cancer Alliances and Integrated Care Boards.

About the role
Kinship Minds is a transformative programme that enhances the support we provide to kinship carers in England and Wales. Our goal is to build kinship carers' confidence and equip them with the knowledge and skills to support children in their care - especially in recognising and responding to early signs of mental health issues.
We are at the beginning of our journey to embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across all areas of service delivery. This includes 1-to-1 support, digital resources and training, and peer support networks.
The Strategic Trauma-Informed Practice Manager will lead this transition, helping us move from a trauma-sensitive organisation on a journey that becomes trauma-aware, trauma-informed, and ultimately trauma-responsive.
This strategic and hands-on role will help Kinship strengthen its therapeutic offer and build the confidence and capacity of staff and kinship carers to understand trauma and the impact it has, and provide strategies to support. We are particularly interested in experience in developing trauma-informed parenting training and resources.
The postholder will play a key role in developing and manualising our trauma-informed approach across core services: Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, our Advice Service, and Peer Support Service. They will work with subject matter experts to develop trauma-informed approaches, toolkits and resources into everyday service delivery – based on the needs of kinship carers and their families.
You will need to be able to step into this role quickly, bringing your experience of building and developing trauma-informed approaches in complex services. You will have strong leadership capabilities, able to work at pace autonomously with creativity and dynamism. You will need to have excellent attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading Kinship’s trauma-informed strategy, ensuring the implementation of trauma-informed principles across all service delivery (for example, using Dr Karen Treisman’s approach).
- Leading the development and manualisation of trauma-informed practice across Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, the Advice Service, and the Peer Support Service. This includes resources, approach and content.
- Supporting organisational development to embed trauma-informed values in practice, culture, policy, and leadership, working with our Head of People and Culture.
- Developing reflective practice approach to support managers to staff and volunteer resilience particularly across services. This could include a ‘train the trainer’ approach.
- Auditing current practices and recommend systems and processes to support trauma-informed service delivery.
- Developing and delivering capacity-building approaches and resources for kinship carers to help them identify and respond to trauma and mental health needs in children.
- Working collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop self-guided training, toolkits, and multimedia resources.
- Providing and leading expert input into the trauma-informed design and delivery of Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, Advice Service and other 1-to-1 support programmes.
- Guiding frontline delivery staff to adopt trauma-informed practice, including the use of strengths-based approaches and flexible, family-led planning.

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience includes:
- A qualified trauma-informed practitioner with significant experience in delivering or developing trauma-informed services.

Strategy and Leadership

- Develop engaging donor journeys and opportunities for people to give regularly, locally, and meaningfully.
Community and Partnership Development
- Reconnect Dementia Concern with its local community through relationship-building, events, and partnerships.
- Represent the charity externally with warmth and confidence, growing our network of local supporters, volunteers, and champions.
- Work closely with the CEO and Trustees to build mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses, groups, and influencers.
- Oversee the charity’s website and digital presence, ensuring our communications are clear, inspiring, and supporter focussed.
- Lead on campaigns and public relations that raise awareness of dementia and the charity’s impact in West London.

About the role
Sightsavers work in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) contributes to a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs. The NTD Data and Reporting Officer sits within the NTD Surveillance unit and provides a single point of contact for programme and country teams on data monitoring and reporting.
The position will be based in the UK, with occasional travel to Sightsavers headquarters in Haywards Heath, and international travel up to four weeks per year.
As the NTD Data and Reporting Officer you will help standardise, consolidate and continuously improve directorate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tools and processes, maintain data architecture for NTDs, ensuring core organisational data assets are of high quality, cohesive and accessible, and manage secure storage for NTD data reporting.

You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with civil society partners, food companies and policymakers, positioning ProVeg as a leading organisation and trusted partner on healthy, sustainable diets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the UK’s corporate and civil society landscape around sustainable food systems, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of influencing decision-makers.
Responsibilities
UK (70%)
- In collaboration with ProVeg UK leadership, lead the implementation of the Corporate Protein Transition Programme in the UK, to increase retailer and foodservice companies’ ambitions regarding the protein transition.
- Encourage companies to adopt protein split target-setting and promote best practices for increasing the share of plant-based sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NGOs, major food retailers, foodservice companies, government institutions, and policymakers.
- Monitor and analyse public opinion, consumer trends, and scientific developments related to plant-based diets to inform team strategies.
- Support the monitoring of national legislative developments related to sustainability and food systems; draft policy briefs and advocacy materials to influence decisions on the protein transition.

What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.
In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.
Your responsibilities will span the full event cycle; from setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to building supporter communications, managing event logistics, providing on-the-day support, and overseeing remittance and thanking — ensuring we maximise income and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.
Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events. An established national charity is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their Finance Business Partnering team at a pivotal time for the organisation. This is a newly shaped role designed to strengthen financial support for the charity’s fundraising and campaigning ambitions over the coming years.
The Role
You will play a central role in providing financial insight, analysis, and management across fundraising, communications, and advocacy activities. Acting as a strategic partner to senior leaders, you’ll ensure funds are used effectively to deliver long-term impact and growth.
You’ll help drive the organisation’s ambitious five-year plan to increase fundraising income and enhance its campaigning and influencing power – ensuring every pound raised contributes to a more inclusive future.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with directorate teams to develop robust budgets and forecasts, supporting effective financial planning.
- Provide insightful financial reporting and analysis to help teams interpret performance and make informed decisions.
- Lead on complex income forecasting (including legacies), applying scenario analysis and risk assessment.
- Deliver financial modelling to inform investment and fundraising strategies.
- Ensure accurate management of restricted funds and compliance with external funder requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, including integration with a new Salesforce CRM system.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and funders regarding fundraising financials.
- Maintain compliance with Charity SORP and relevant financial regulations.
- Manage and develop a Finance Business Partner team member, fostering growth and capability.
About You
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with proven experience in finance business partnering, ideally within the charity or fundraising sector.
You’ll bring:

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £61,526 per annum
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Location: Flexible hybrid (possibility for remote working)
