Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Monitoring and Results Measurement Manager to join our team in the UK, Nigeria or Uganda.
The key purpose of this role is to manage the reporting, visualisation, interpretation and use of project monitoring data through Malaria Consortium’s global Project and Results database (PReS), working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure they receive the correct training on the system, maintaining standards of data reporting and use, and analysing project data to monitor progress against organisational strategic targets. The role will work closely with Country and Regional Directors and Country Technical Coordinators to interpret and use data for monitoring and strategic decision-making purposes.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data analytics or field with strong focus on data management and use
- Demonstrable experience in programme monitoring and results measurement with ability to write log frames, translate log frames into project monitoring practice (i.e. through the development of tools and practice) and manage oversight processes
- Extensive experience of DHIS2 and/or other data management platforms
- Experience developing and maintaining data dashboards, particularly using PowerBI
- Experience engaging with software solution providers
- Experience developing capacity through training and/or mentoring

About the role
ARC is a data-rich organisation, having made significant progress in our data analytics activities in recent years. Using the CRM Socialsuite , we have developed sophisticated project performance dashboards, which are critical in supporting both our delivery and reporting efforts. Our servers are soon to be hosted in MS Azure, and we are planning to maximise the use of this platform in the coming years. We have also made considerable progress in evaluating and demonstrating the impact of our Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg projects. At the Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.
This role is an exciting new opportunity to shape and deliver on Motability Foundation’s aims to become more insights led and to systematically involve disabled people in our decision making. You will support the Head of Insight and Evaluation in providing the organisation with insight drawn from existing research, primary research, business data and through user insight. The role will lead development of a user insight approach and clear mechanisms to involve disabled people in the Foundation’s decisions systematically. The role will establish a user insight research community (akin to a customer panel but broader in scope), which the organisation can draw from for user insight.
The role is also responsible for delivering a strategic research and insight plan for the organisation to inform operational and strategic decisions, including feeding into our strategy mid-term review. Others in the organisations will also carry out research and hence this function has a role in setting standards for quality research, a coordinating role in ensuring a cross-organisational understanding of ongoing research to avoid duplication, and to draw insights and disseminate these to relevant internal and external audiences.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the head of team by developing a strategic insight research plan.
- Lead the delivery of the insight research plan, including developing clear research briefs, working with external suppliers to deliver research and where appropriate deliver research in-house.

Although we work remotely with a team that is spread nationwide, this role does require someone based in or close to London in order to deliver our Westminster programme of activities.

As a key member of the Fundraising & Communications department, you will bring creativity, insight and experience to the team, and you will be a confident ambassador and representative internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Help identify new, and build existing, relationships with individual major donors and family trusts and foundations, personally securing five and six figure gifts
- Work with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to recruit and line-manage a Philanthropy Consultant (fixed-term) for a discrete exercise to research and populate a pipeline of new major donor prospects
- Manage the continued identification of prospective donors and donor research
- Develop a peer-to-peer network of engaged major donors who give to and fundraise for AUK
- Build and maintain a moves-management stewardship strategy for a portfolio of donors and prospects
- Design and deliver a range of income-generating cultivation events or other engagement opportunities
- Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers and ambassadors
- Commit to external networking with relevant major donors and family representatives and sector networking with peers
General Responsibilities
- Write compelling proposals, reports, and other stewardship materials to convey impact to donors, with the support of the Communications & Marketing Manager and Officer
- Pitch partnership opportunities through impactful presentations, visits, and personal conversations with potential donors
- Use and update the CRM system (Raisers Edge) to ensure forecasting and pipelines reflect the work being undertaken and the progression of all relationships
- Support the delivery of events such as intimate dinners hosted by senior volunteers
- Admin and Finance - Ensure planned expenditure is within budget and monitor and report on performance. Ensure systems are updated and records kept correctly. Produce pipeline progress information for inclusion in quarterly Board Reports
- Undertake professional development and training
- Play an active role across the charity, fostering good working relationships with other teams and enhancing communications with colleagues
About You
If you are a people's person, a self-starter and have a pro-active approach to philanthropy fundraising this role will be ideal for you. You will also have the following experience;
- Demonstrable experience of successfully securing large gifts (£25,000+) from major donors and delivering against six figure annual targets
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentational
- Experience of working as a major donor fundraiser
- Line management experience
- Ability to analyse, understand, and translate data
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and to prioritise and multitask effectively

The Role:
