Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting an International Operations Manager to support continuing and sustainable growth in our ground-breaking work to ensure that safe routes to sanctuary exist for all people seeking asylum and that their right to protection is upheld.
You will join a dynamic Operations Team that works hard to ensure seamless operations that empower field and front-line staff to achieve the highest impact possible for the people we work with. The team’s responsibilities include people management, compliance, governance, participation, safeguarding, systems, MEAL, wellbeing, diversity, representation, and inclusion. We work across all SPI entities in the UK, Greece, and France, as well as projects operating in other locations, including Poland.

The International Operations Manager will have a primary focus on day-to-day operations and human resources management. As Together Through Homelessness Coordinator, you’ll:
- deal with enquiries from a variety of key stakeholders, to contribute to the successful day-to-day delivery of our vet scheme,
- support dog owners who are experiencing homelessness to register their dogs on the scheme, and signpost them to other support services sensitively and tactfully,
- carry out key processes to ensure the efficient running of our schemes, from checking microchip details to discussing complex cases with our Vet team,
- ensure administration processes are completed efficiently, keeping accurate records at all times.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations or personal crisis, including having challenging conversations. Our Pets and Housing projects consist of our Together Through Homelessness vet scheme and the endorsement scheme, Pet-Friendly Housing pilot (Scotland) and the pet friendly housing website, and pet foodbank pilots.

About the role
We require someone who is able to provide a range of business support functions to the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Department (PPC), specifically the reporting and monitoring of grants-funded projects delivered within PPC and the administration of grants out to partners including use of our international programme management system.
The post holder will champion ways of working across the department that align with Christian Aid's strategy and systems and work closely with the Data Strategy and Transformation Lead and relevant teams to drive operational excellence and innovation that leads to smooth and effective business processes. This will include the coordination of a new PPC quarterly dashboard to track progress, improve decision making and assess impact.
The post holder may also be asked to coordinate and administrate discrete projects within the department as required such as refreshing the departmental intranet on SharePoint or work collaboratively with colleagues under the direction of a project manager within project teams. You will also be required to act as short-term cover for the Director's Executive Assistant during periods of absence and provide administrative advice for PPC staff.

About You
Ideally, you will be someone with a real drive and a passion for charity fundraising. Who is digitally focused, driven by insight and understands the importance of great stewardship experience.
You'll have experience in a range of fundraising activities including virtual events. Adept at supporter stewardship and journeys through a variety of channels, such as digital communities, phone, and email. You'll have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding KPIs. As well as being highly organised, comfortable managing projects and if needed the ability to work to tight deadlines

We are looking for a proactive, self- motivated and solutions-focussed individual to make an impact in the role of Research Manager whilst providing maternity cover for a 12-month period. You’ll share in our vision, mission and values and have children at your heart, and use your passion for making a difference to support and accelerate the ambitious work of Solving Kids’ Cancer UK and the Research team.
Summary of role responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of international childhood cancer research projects, engaging stakeholder expertise where appropriate and providing administrative, operational, and relationship management support.

Monitor and evaluate the impact of Solving Kids’ Cancer UK’s patient-centric research programme, working closely with the Communications and Campaigns Manager to effectively communicate this to a wide range of audiences.
