The MA, alongside a number of partners, are working to expand and develop how we support mathematics education. Central to this is the joint development of a new association that will bring together people from across the whole mathematics education community.

To help us achieve this, we are looking for an experienced and empathetic Operations & Change Manager to lead the successful integration of two office locations and staff teams within our association. This is a key short-term role, supporting both the practical and people aspects of the merger, ensuring minimal disruption to services and a smooth transition for staff and stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management or organisational development, ideally within the voluntary or public sector, and a passion for values-led leadership. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Management & Planning 

• Develop and deliver a clear, time-bound transition plan for the merger of two offices and their staff teams, which total around 10 staff. 

• Coordinate the logistical aspects of the merger, including workspace planning, IT/data transfers, supplier liaison and operational systems. 

• Ensure day-to-day services continue to run smoothly throughout the transition. 

Staff Integration & Communication 

• Work closely with the CEO to support team alignment, role clarity, and internal communications. 

• Offer interim line management, support and/or supervision to a small staff team 

• Facilitate team-building and change management initiatives to support culture integration. 

Stakeholder Engagement 

• Provide regular updates to the CEO and trustees. 

• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in and transparency. 

• Maintain clear and open communication channels across both merging offices. 

Reporting & Handover 

• Track and report progress against key milestones. 

• Identify risks and mitigation strategies as the merger progresses. 

• Provide a full handover and final report, including lessons learned and recommendations for long-term sustainability. 

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Proven experience managing organisational change projects or mergers, ideally in the charity or non-profit sector. 

• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to support teams through change. 

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to manage sensitive conversations with care. 

• Confident communicator with experience of engaging with a range of audiences, including reporting to senior leaders or boards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership 

• Lead the corporate fundraising programme at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, Director of Development, and Brand & Marketing Manager. 

• Deliver an ambitious corporate partnerships strategy that supports both regional (aligned with Roald Dahl Nurse locations) and national growth. 

• Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the Fundraising and Communications team, supporting the charity’s broader income and engagement goals. 

• Provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Fundraising Executive 

Corporate Partnership Development 

• Identify, research, package and secure high-value corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing, and employee fundraising opportunities. 

• Proactively grow and manage the new business pipeline, forecasting income and tracking likelihood of success, ensuring alignment with agreed income targets. 

• Build creative, compelling cases for support and deliver inspirational, tailored pitches and proposals to senior corporate audiences. 

• Horizon scan to identify new partnership opportunities and emerging sectors, working closely with the Programmes Team to align fundraising opportunities with service delivery and impact. 

Account Management & Stewardship 

• Deliver high-quality relationship management for all existing corporate partners, ensuring clear communication, excellent stewardship, and sustained engagement, with support from the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and other senior staff as needed. 

• Create and implement bespoke fundraising plans and incentives to support multi-year, mutually beneficial partnerships. 

• Prepare engaging, tailored assets and communications including proposals, presentations, impact reports and updates for corporate supporters. 

• Represent the charity confidently at meetings and events, delivering presentations and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. 

Performance & Financial Management 

• Track, analyse and report on income, ROI, and engagement across all corporate partnerships. 

• Manage the corporate fundraising income and expenditure, reporting performance against forecasts. 

• Maintain oversight of all contractual agreements and partnership terms for corporate partnerships and cause-related marketing. 

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support 

• Work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Communications team to deliver a calendar of corporate fundraising events, campaigns, and activity. 

• Contribute content and stories to the charity’s website, newsletter, annual review, and other external communications. 

• Ensure strong collaboration with the Programmes Team to develop impactful narratives. 

• Support the maintenance of accurate records on Beacon, ensuring all corporate fundraising activity is logged in our CRM system.

Grants operations and data manager

The grants operations and data manager is a newly created role, within Moorfields Eye Charity's grants and research team, to support, manage and develop grant funding operations. This is a really exciting time to join the team as this position will play a key role in the ongoing optimisation of the teams grants management system (Flexigrant, implemented 2024) and also the underpinning funding operations to support the delivery of our first grants strategy, due to be launched in early 2026.

About you

You will have an established track record in grant-making, ideally in a health or medical research charity. You will have experience in the full life-cyle of grants management and the delivery of grant-making programmes, working with complex data and databases. You will also have a keen interest in improving operational processes and developing/analysing reports for data driven grant making activities and showcasing the impact of funding.

You will be an effective communicator, able to build confident working relationships at all levels. You will bring strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to work collaboratively and to influence, lead others in matrix style working.

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the successful candidate will identify, evaluate, and manage investments and large-scale commercial partnerships that materially increase transporters’ (in Africa and India) incomes. As a Regional Lead, the individual will play a significant leadership role to the East Africa team based in Nairobi. People’s Palace Projects (PPP) is a research-led arts charity based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) of Arts Council England (ACE). We develop collaborative arts-based projects with artists, activists, academics, policy advocates, and audiences to address social and climate injustices in the UK, Brazil and beyond. FSRH is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for healthcare professionals working at the frontline of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) in a range of settings in the community and primary care. Our members include SRH specialists, GPs, nurses, midwives and pharmacists. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the lifecourse for all.

FSRH’s External Affairs Team influences policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy as well as raising awareness of SRH rights among the public. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK (APPG SRH) promotes awareness and understanding in Parliament of a range of issues relating to sexual and reproductive health across the life course (from menstruation to menopause and beyond). Backed by a passionate cohort of Parliamentarians and other stakeholders, the APPG is Co-Chaired by Dr Rupa Huq MP and Baroness Barker, supported by passionate Vice Chairs, Baroness Sugg and Maya Ellis MP.

About the role

This role plays an integral part in helping manage and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. As the Senior Manager and Deputy to the Director in the team, you will manage the team’s External Affairs Officer, and drive delivery of the ambitions contained in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision. As Manager to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare you will work directly with leading Parliamentarians and partners to manage and deliver the APPG’s annual programme of work and meetings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. A background in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as proven project management and events experience is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.

Key duties

Major Donor Fundraising

• Successfully develop and implement the philanthropy strategy to secure and maximise funds from high value individuals for Action for ME achieving annual income of £250k+

• Set plans and budgets which will deliver income through major gift fundraising and philanthropic giving through family trusts and foundations, including quarterly forecasting.

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors at the £5k to £100k level, to develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships

• Work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other colleagues to ensure that plans and activities for fundraising from high value individuals are integrated into the overall fundraising strategy and plan for significant growth.

• Be responsible for our Breakthrough-ME Group with high quality proposition development.  Contribution to Group fundraising activities with a specific focus on ensuring their networks support pipeline growth for future fundraising.

• Lead the delivery of our biennial fundraising gala dinner, maximising income and new opportunities from attendees.

• Develop engaging and inspiring opportunities to steward and cultivate support creating a calendar of activities including events, presentations, approaches, networking and meetings.

• Utilise the CRM database (Raisers Edge) to provide the data required to strategise your approach to philanthropy, monitor progress and provide a high-quality donor experience.

• Ensure utilisation of insight & data, producing management information data to inform planning and strategy development.

• With the Director of Fundraising & Development, create inspiring cases for support and resulting propositions with clear budgets and outcomes.

• Create adequate systems and processes to support the major donor programme.

• Undertake and manage research into prospects and major donors, preparing for approaches and presentations and briefing senior leadership and trustees for donor meetings and events.

• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, a wide range of staff and volunteers from trustee level down.

• Provide regular feedback and internal reporting to line management.

• Work with other fundraisers to ensure that all fundraising opportunities and leads are followed up – particularly in corporate, community and trust fundraising.

• Work with Trustees, the Chief Executive and members of the Leadership Team to develop relationships with major donors.

• Self-administrate including managing your own diary and meetings, keeping accurate and up to date records of activity

• Occasional travel to London, Bristol & events
