This role presents opportunity to work innovatively & responsively, creating new, unique, & informative LGBT+ affirmative resources, crisis support, prevention & wellbeing initiatives; along with having a developmental role in upskilling & supervising sessional staff, trainees, interns & volunteers.
This is an exciting job opportunity to join a dynamic & committed team, in a key frontline role working directly within our Heads-Out mental health service, which provides individualised mental health plans, crisis safety plans, mental wellbeing workshops, varied mental health support groups including for those seeking asylum, a trans & non-binary group; LGBTQ+ mental health social connections & activities group, and drop-in support.
Opportunities will include delivery of specialised interventions, taking direct referrals and helping to support & stabilise those at heightened risk and/ or living through mental health crisis, plus psychoeducation workshops and group programmes will further enable you to engage, empower & support participants to build confidence, develop skills, strategies & achieve goals to improve, maintain & best manage mental health, increase mental wellbeing, and reduce and/ or prevent future crisis.
elop is a London based thriving community-led LGBT+ mental health & wellbeing charity offering a range of support, advice, information, counselling, and group support services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT+) communities.
There will be one regular evening/ week and occasional weekend working required.
NB: Initially there will be some remote home-based working alongside office-based working whilst we relocate to new premises

About the role
The purpose of the social media officer role is to monitor, respond to and triage social media enquiries across Breast Cancer Now’s social media platforms, ensuring our tone and messaging are consistent, clear and engaging.
Working closely with fundraising teams and the social media and community team, you’ll keep up to date with current and upcoming campaigns and activity, ensuring our online communities receive an excellent supporter experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping Breast Cancer Now’s social media response handling.
About you
You’ll have some experience responding to external enquiries within charity, with an ability to adapt your communication style to suit the campaign or audience.
You’ll enjoy working as part of a busy and high performing team to reach shared goals, while also having the ability to work individually and manage your own workload. You’ll have experience training others, working with colleagues to deliver best practise across social media in this role.
As a well-organised person with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills, you’ll enjoy working with a wide range of colleagues and key external suppliers to monitor, respond to and report on our social media activity.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in either our London or Sheffield office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

Are you keen to develop in a support role within a property and facilities function?
A new opportunity has arisen to help support a small team delivering a customer focused facilities service across two sites; the Methodist Church House and the United Reformed Church House, both within five minutes’ walk of each other. In this new role you will work alongside the Buildings and Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of both sites, supporting the maintenance of high operational standards, and contribute to a safe, accessible and welcoming environment for all staff, visitors, and tenant partner organisations.
You will be educated to GCSE level and already have experience in planning, recording and assimilating information in a customer focussed service role. You have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as excellent organisation and prioritising skills. An ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and inspecting hard to reach areas, is essential.
