You will be responsible for coordinating the internal operations of the organisation including contract management, ICT, office and HR support.  This role will also be responsible for travel logistics, event administration, contractual, grant and financial administration and internal office systems. Key responsibilities: 

Execute financial administration tasks to time (25%):

• Add invoices to the accounting software package Xero purchase ledger 

• Support payments to suppliers and partners. 

• Preparing sales invoices for submission 

• Review invoices and timesheets submitted by consultants prior to payment. 

Organising and providing meeting support (15%):

• Organise meetings and international workshops in the UK and in overseas locations within an agreed budget. This includes the planning and coordination of logistics, such as participants registrations, venue selection, travel arrangement, accommodation and catering, as well as the circulation of meeting documents and invitations, and the processing of travel expenses and invoices. 

• Provide on the day support for meetings and workshops including catering and ICT. 

• To provide secretarial support to the Board of Trustees. including identification of appropriate meeting dates, circulation of papers and drafting of minutes.

• Update information concerning Trustees and the latest audit with Companies House. 

Support the administration and monitoring of grants agreements (15%)

• Coordinate the invitation and submission of grant proposals. 

• Prepare draft grant agreements based on approved applications. 

• Review quarterly financial reports submitted by partners in receipt of grant funding highlighting any areas of concern and improvement. 

• Carry out internal financial audits of partners in receipt of grant funding highlighting any areas of concern and improvement in how the funding is managed. 

Coordinating the administration and monitoring of consultancy contracts  (25%). 

• Support the recruitment, negotiations and management of consultants and advisors including coordination with the client. 

• Prepare draft consultancy contracts based the agreed scope of work and conditions. 

• Coordinate and monitor consultants’ timesheets to capture time billed against the days allocated in the contracts and approval process. 

Execute office administrative tasks to time (20%)

• Coordinate, relay internal emails to staff, reserve equipment and venues for presentations and in-person staff meetings, maintain office calendars and send out meeting reminders.

A mission-driven and impact focused single programme NGO is seeking a Finance Business Partner with strong financial modelling skills for a part-time, fully remote fixed term contract for approximately 4-6 months. The role is to support the Finance Director, HR team, CEO and other stakeholders with business partnering, along with specific financial modelling projects.

The organisation’s mission is to get 3-6 year old children in rural Africa to thrive. They have developed an award-winning Early Childhood Development programme, proven its impact through rigorous evaluation, and scaled it with governments in both Ghana and Uganda. It is currently reaching over 300,000 children per year, and we aim to reach 1 million children per year by 2028. The programme benefits both preschool age children and unlocks the potential of marginalised rural parents.

You will work in a busy finance team based in the UK, Ghana and Uganda. The role can be done fully-remotely from within the UK, and the salary range on offer is circa £50,000 - £60,000 FTE (pro-rata). It is anticipated there will be around 2-3 days work per week for approximately 4-6 months.

Experience within a business partnering / modelling role within the NGO sector would be very useful, but is not essential.

Duties include:

• Work focused on adaptions for new contexts: The programme targets rural communities in Ghana and Uganda. This year the organisation plans to scale to a new country and to test ways to adapt it for this new context. They are also keen to explore whether the programme can be adapted for refugee settings.
• Financial modelling focused on selecting a new country to launch the programme
• Specific cost modelling and fundraising modelling around the corporate sponsorship of the organisation’s radio station project

• Develop and strengthen robust and flexible cost models (including sensitivity analyses/stress testing) to guide decisions around the pace and rate of scale, staffing & resource requirements (HR), ensure value for money and maximise cost efficiencies.
• Develop robust budgets for new and renewal funder applications, considering complexities around funder restrictions, currency exchange and forecast economic conditions.
• Analysis and modelling on organisational procedures & policies and capacity building projects

Requirements:

• Fully or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience with finance business partnering to a range of stakeholders
• Strong financial modelling skills – ideally in things such as cost analysis, funding analysis etc
• Intermediate/advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
• An understanding of international charity finance - donor reporting, programmes finance, foreign currency transactions is useful

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make an impact in the delivery of the income accounting provision at Hastoe.

You will assist our Management Accountant with the accounting, management and reconciliation of Hastoe’s solar photovoltaic portfolio, including the income that Hastoe receives from Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) payments. You will also assist with general management account duties.

The role will require close working and collaboration with colleagues within the Finance team and wider organisation (in particular our Housing and Property services teams), as well as communicating externally with other stakeholders regarding our PV panel portfolio. You will also need to liaise with Hastoe’s FIT licencee and other external organisations.

You will also assist with an exciting project to modernise Hastoe’s PV panel metering and data collection processes.

Duties will include:

• Assist the Management Accounts team to input accruals, Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) payment schedules and invoices relating to Hastoe’s solar photovoltaic (PV) panel portfolio.
• Assist with administration for said PV panel portfolio, accessing online portals, monitoring status of PV panels and payments.
• Liaise with Hastoe’s FiT licensee(s) to submit and receive information relating to the panels.
• Assist with the maintenance and servicing as required of the PV panel portfolio, working closely with Hastoe’s Property Services Team.
• Assist with completing reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated and accounted for correctly.
• Assist with reconciliations, month-end and other management accounts functions.

Essential criteria

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills and ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
• Ability to analyse data and produce clear and concise reports, whilst being confident using Microsoft Excel

Hours: Full time (35 hours), or part time (minimum 21 hours); flexible working options available

About the role
As Clean Energy Investment Manager, you will lead the delivery of the Clean Energy Fund across North Wales, supporting voluntary organisations to transition to sustainable, renewable energy solutions. You’ll develop and manage a pipeline of funding opportunities, assess business plans, and prepare high-quality lending proposals.

Your role will combine financial analysis, relationship management and strategic thinking, ensuring that funded organisations are supported from initial application through to long-term impact. You’ll become a trusted advisor and advocate for clean energy investment across the voluntary sector.

About you:

You’ll be confident working independently while building strong collaborative relationships across the sector. You’ll bring a blend of financial insight, interpersonal skills and a passion for renewable energy and social enterprise.

We’re looking for someone with:

• An understanding of the fundamentals of how businesses and charities run and generate income
• A recognition of what constitutes good governance in the voluntary sector
• The ability to read and analyse a set of financial accounts
• An understanding of the operation of the role and the operation of the voluntary sector in Wales

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team to administer the financial affairs of the District. This role will include working closely with the District Secretary and Treasurer to implement financial policies and controls, assisting with preparing budgets and accounts, managing payroll, processing receipts and payments and maintaining appropriate accounting records. 

Role Purpose and Objectives

To administer the financial affairs of the District including preparing budgets and accounts, managing payroll, processing receipts and payments and maintaining appropriate accounting records. 

Responsibilities

Financial Controls and Policies

• Support the District Treasurer to implement proper financial policies and controls, ensuring appropriate accounting codes for churches and charities are complied with.

Budgets and Accounts

• Assist the District Secretary, Treasurer and Resourcing Mission Committee to prepare budget and circuit assessments for the District with reference to the District Mission Plan.
• Work with the District Secretary and Treasurer to prepare annual accounts for the District, including liaising with the auditors and helping to draft the Trustees’ Annual Report, particularly with regard to accounting practice and policies.
• Support the District Secretary as needed to ensure compliance with the Methodist Church and Charity Commission requirements, including supplying the information for HMRC P11D forms.

Payroll

• Ensure District employees’ and ministers’ payroll information is correct and liaise with the central Methodist payroll bureau so that staff are paid on time.

Administration of Bank Accounts

• Monitor cash flow and administer transfers between bank accounts.
• Set up approved payments in online banking and liaise with signatories to authorise these for payment.
• Liaise with the Treasurer and/or District Secretary on transactions with the Central Finance Board and Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes, preparing paperwork to facilitate drawdown of funds.
• Administer changes to banking mandates.
• Administer changes to Direct Debits and Standing Order instructions.

Receipts and Payments/Book-keeping

• Check invoices and expenses claims for accuracy, before sending to authorised persons for approval.
• Record all bank transactions for all bank accounts on a monthly basis.
• Produce monthly fund summaries, with detailed analyses.
• Provide monthly ‘sub-accounts’, where required, for specific projects

Other key tasks

• Manage the District’s Financial Record systems, including archiving information as necessary
• With the District Secretary, review and renew the District’s Insurance Policies. 
• Maintain the District’s Asset Register.
• Other duties commensurate with the role as agreed with the District Secretary.

Key responsibilities:   

This position can operate from any of our national bases, working from either our London, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, South or North England hubs - Hybrid working 

Programme development:   

• Support the design of Money Ready’s programme development cycles.   

• Support with the development of the content and standards for all Money Ready programmes; structure, model and design.   

• Work with the monitoring and evaluation function to understand the impact of how we are designing our programmes.   

• Gain feedback through the internal ‘looking and listening’ processes to support improvements on programmes, balancing learner, trainer and external views.   

• Holding responsibility for our Core Subject Knowledge (CSK) quality, ensuring the information is correct and up to date, assisting with the refresh of key information for new and existing programmes. Provide the Training and Development manager any refreshed or new content for CSK when programmes are developed, for them to implement and roll out.   

Process implementation:   

• Deliver the quality assurance programme of Money Ready programmes across the UK; utilising the regional hub structure.   

• Taking the lead on accreditation, including moderation reporting and resolution of queries.   

• Support the Money Ready education and accreditation framework ensuring trainers have everything they need to help young people and adults have the best shot at achieving accreditation.    

• Co-ordinate annual training on the IV process and moderation.   

• Provide training and support with content and programme development processes.   

• Manage the development and maintenance of internal tracking systems for use by regional teams to report the QT activities.   

External relations   

• Be the day-day connection to our accreditation partner and support the quality control processes that they implement   

• Be the best ambassador for our work to all external stakeholders including young people, delivery partners, politicians, funders, the press, the wider education community, local authorities and so on.   

Working across Money Ready  

• Work with colleagues across the country as we continue to develop and grow the organisation.
