The Clinical Portfolio Manager will work closely with the Head of Clinical Research to pioneer and advance our new clinical research programme. This role is vital in advancing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s research objectives and organisational strategy and will be key to delivering impact for people affected by dementia. The Clinical Portfolio Manager will manage the development and monitoring of our clinical research portfolio working collaboratively as appropriate with external stakeholders and various departments across the organisation, including the wider Research, Fundraising and Policy, Communications and Involvement Teams.
This role sits within the Clinical Research team in the Research Directorate, an ambitious, proactive and growing team that is driving forward initiatives to bring more clinical trials to the UK for people living with dementia. With the first generation of disease modifying treatments recently approved, this is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with strong research programme management experience who understands the clinical research environment in the UK, to contribute to groundbreaking work in dementia research, aligning with and advancing on the Government's investment initiatives in the Dame Barbara Windsor Dementia Goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Research Portfolio Development
· Manage the development of ARUK’s clinical research portfolio, including funded trials, sub-studies, and Clinical Fellowships
· Act as the key point of contact for potential clinical research applicants, liaising with our clinical advisors to provide advice regarding strategic alignment and pre-application feedback on potential proposals
· Work closely with the Research Involvement Manager and Clinical Research Manager to integrate best practices in patient involvement and co-production to ensure ARUK funded clinical research is relevant for and supported by people affected by dementia
· Support the Research Funding team with the grant review process for clinical proposals to ensure appropriate Clinical Committee reviewer allocations, meeting logistics, paperwork, minutes, and committee feedback
· Contribute to the ongoing development of the Clinical Committee, supporting the Research Funding team with identifying appropriate members, facilitating committee discussions and implement advised strategies to ensure expert insight and support for the clinical research programme
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global developments in dementia clinical research and collaborate in mapping the clinical research ecosystem, identifying gaps in funding to support the development of potential clinical research funding opportunities aligned with ARUK’s strategy
Clinical Research Portfolio Oversight
· Oversee the progress monitoring of key clinical research projects, tracking milestones, managing potential risks, and keeping partners updated where applicable, working with the Research Funding team to ensure invoices are managed accordingly
· Work with the Senior Clinical Programmes Operations Officer to maintain the programme tracker and Salesforce records, ensuring conversations and updates are captured
· Support internal reporting mechanisms, providing timely updates to the Senior Leadership Team and preparation of papers and briefings for relevant meetings, including the Clinical Committee and Scientific Advisory Board
· Work with the Evidence Manager to monitor the clinical research portfolio against key performance indicators and evaluate the impact of ARUK clinical research funding to inform future clinical grant calls
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
· Play a pivotal role in fostering and nurturing relationships with clinical leaders and research funders in the UK to build the profile of ARUK’s clinical research programme and help us to accelerate research towards a cure
· Work closely with our Research Partnerships manager to maintain and build partnerships that further the clinical research programme’s objectives
· Support the Head of Clinical Research in enhancing ARUK’s external profile through active participation in meetings and collaborations with key stakeholders
· Ensure appropriate information-sharing between internal stakeholders including Research, Fundraising, Finance, Policy, Communications, and Involvement teams
What we are looking for:
· Degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science
· Proven experience managing large programmes of work, preferably in the healthcare, research or charity sector
· Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities, overseeing budgets and identifying risks
· Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholder groups and build strong, effective and productive relationships
· Experience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
· Understanding of drug development and clinical research

Additional Information:

What we're looking for
This newly created Campaigns Manager role will be responsible for end-to-end campaign management across digital platforms including Advocate, our programmatic ad platform, and various social media channels. This includes strategy development, planning, coordination, execution, and optimization. Reporting to the Ad Ops Director in Canada, you'll work closely with the Accounts, Performance & Insights, and Product teams across Europe and the US to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and on target.
Responsibilities
- Lead on developing digital strategies and media plans, identifying appropriate platforms and formats to maximise impact for our global, progressive client base.
- Manage Campaign Associates to ensure all digital campaigns are delivered successfully, including tracking KPIs, analyzing performance data, and implementing optimizations to improve results.

Required Expertise
Must Have
- Experience with planning, building and managing successful paid digital campaigns on social media and programmatic channels for progressive political groups.
- Experience working on multiple progressive campaigns, including at least one cycle of US political campaigns with Democrats or progressive groups.
- Proven ability to learn new ad tech platforms quickly.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, or performance issues before they escalate.

Purpose of the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving and growing fundraising team with a new, ambitious strategy for income generation that the whole charity, senior management and Trustees are right behind.
The role itself is new as Cerebra looks to invest in and significantly grow and develop a new mass participation events programme (which includes schools fundraising products). You’ll work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications who has a strong background in events and community fundraising.
You will lead the development of virtual/digital fundraising events, challenge/3rd party events, in-person owned events, DIY events and our relationships with schools. In time, you will build and foster relationships with other community organisations. You will be responsible for growing the team as the programme expands. Innovation and product development are key areas of work.
You will play key role in the Fundraising Marketing & Communications directorate and developing our fundraising, audience and supporter engagement strategy.
This is a challenging but well-supported role, where you can make a large, career-defining impact on Cerebra and the children and families that we serve.
Overall budgetary responsibility is approximately £295k of income for 2026, with considerable scope and ambition for improvement.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. New events programme
- Develop a multi-year events programme incorporating virtual/digital events, challenge/3rd party events, in-person own events and DIY.
- Project manage the delivery of the events in the programme to raise £295k in 2026.
- Develop multi-channel marketing plans for recruitment, focusing on key audiences.
- Develop multi-channel supporter journeys and top-class supporter experience to deepen engagement and increase income.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on income, expenditure, and supporter acquisition across the events programme and make decisions about where to invest time and resources, accordingly.
- Develop necessary assets, such as fundraising packs. Digital platforms, digital rewards and supporter groups.
- Work with the Corporate & Philanthropy Manager to offer events fundraising to corporate partners.
2. Innovation and product development
- Use data and insights to understand audiences and to innovate and develop new events from prototype and MVP onwards.
- Proactively research and identify opportunities to grow the portfolio, monitoring the market and sector trends and how they could be implemented at Cerebra.
- Constantly seek to iterate and improve events in all areas including marketing, supporter experience, delivery and fundraising.
- Create business cases and plans for each new event.
- Own and grow Cerebra’s own mass participation flagship event “Relay Your Way”.
3. Schools and community groups
- Develop a plan and products to engage schools with Cerebra fundraising.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop materials to support schools fundraising.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications and Contact Centre teams to recruit schools to take part in fundraising for Cerebra.
- Monitor and evaluate to scale successful schools fundraising products.
- Take learnings from schools fundraising to apply to other groups and organisations.
4. Culture & relationships
- Work to continue the development of a strong, person-centred, empathetic, supportive and inclusive culture at Cerebra.
- Build on excellent relationships between different teams and directorates for each teams’s and Cerebra’s overall strategic goals and objectives.

Product Manager – HOSTHub Lead

Role Purpose
As Product Manager HOSTHub Lead, you will drive the vision, design, and delivery of HOSTHub, HOST’s secure digital platform for global civil society operations.
HOSTHub is the central nervous system of HOST - connecting partners, funders, and internal teams across finance, legal, and operations. You will lead the platform’s development and optimisation, ensuring every user journey is clear, intuitive, and aligned with HOST’s empowering, expert, and empathetic values.
Working closely with the Partnerships and Engagement teams, along with our development contractors, you’ll translate user needs into product strategy, coordinate with the external development team, and deliver tools that make life easier for changemakers, funders, and the HOST team.
This is a strategic, high-impact role for someone who can think systemically, act decisively, and balance big-picture design with hands-on delivery.
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Vision and Strategy
Lead on the design, roadmap, and vision of HOSTHub as HOST’s flagship digital platform.

2. User Journey and Experience Design
Lead on designing the end-to-end user experience for hosted partners, funders, and staff.

Collaborate with the Partnerships and Community Support teams to align HOSTHub with the Hosted Partner and Funder Journeys.
Work with the Communications Team to ensure all user-facing content is accessible, clear, and on-brand.

3. Development Oversight
Oversee product design and development process, in coordination with the development team.
Attend demo and planning sessions each sprint, provide clear prioritisation of activities and ensure that development is rolled out as required.
Ensure that all Hosted Partner and HOST team voices are included and prioritised into the platform development, acting as central focal point for all HOSThub needs.

4. Data, Systems, and Integration
Work with the Data Analyst to ensure HOSTHub captures accurate, useful data for reporting and impact measurement.
Integrate Data and Impact measurement needs into the Product Roadmap prioritisation
Support automation of key workflows across the Delivery and Partnerships Circles, improving speed and reducing manual processes.
Maintain robust documentation of system architecture and data flows.

5. Security, Compliance, and Risk
Lead on platform security and data protection in collaboration with the Legal Lead.
Ensure HOSTHub adheres to global data privacy and security standards (GDPR, AML/CTF, etc.). Prioritise required actions within roadmap.
Conduct regular digital risk assessments and prioritise required actions within roadmap mitigation strategies.
Lead the incident response process for digital issues or breaches, maintaining transparent communication with leadership.

6. Cross-Team Collaboration and Capacity Building
Work across HOST’s teams to ensure HOSTHub serves all service areas - Project Hosting, Hosted Grantmaking, and Capacity Building.
Develop and deliver internal training sessions to build staff confidence and skills in using HOSTHub.
Create and maintain onboarding resources, FAQs, and user guides.
Partner with the Training Lead to embed digital literacy across the organisation and hosted partner community.
Reporting cadence: Quarterly internal training and adoption report.
7. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Monitor emerging technologies and sector best practices to inform HOSTHub’s evolution.
Evaluate and test new features, integrations, and user needs to maintain product relevance.
Lead user feedback sessions and platform reviews to ensure HOSTHub grows with HOST’s global operations.
Drive HOSTHub’s role in enabling a distributed, digital-first delivery model.

Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user journey design, with practical experience mapping and optimising workflows for multiple user groups.
Experience managing or coordinating external developers, digital agencies, or tech contractors in remote environments.
Demonstrated ability to translate user needs into technical requirements, prioritising effectively across competing demands.
Familiarity with API integrations, database systems, and workflow automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Airtable, or custom integrations).

Role Purpose
As Partnerships Manager: Grantmakers, you will lead the development and delivery of HOST’s Hosted Grantmaking service — ensuring that funders can move resources quickly, safely, and transparently to the people driving change.
You will oversee funder relationships and hosted grantmaking delivery, building systems that ensure clarity, compliance, and care at every stage. In order to respond to growing demand, you will build and manage the Hosted Grantmaking Community Support Team and liaise and coordinate with the Delivery Team, ensuring HOST has the capacity and expertise to meet growing global demand for hosted funds.

Core Responsibilities
1. Hosted Grantmaking Leadership

4. Funder Relationship Stewardship and Growth

Senior Communications Manager
FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (3ie)
1. Background
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Research Commissioning Centre (RCC) has been established to commission and manage research to enhance development and foreign policy impact. The RCC, co-led by the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) and the University of Birmingham, provides support to FCDO teams for commissioning and delivering high-quality and impactful research. It addresses challenges associated with research bureaucracy by providing a streamlined process for commissioning and delivering FCDO-funded research.
This role is based at 3ie, working closely with colleagues at the FCDO, University of Birmingham and across the RCC consortium. This is a fixed-term position for the RCC, which is a pilot project that began on the 6th June, 2023, and is due to run until the 5th June, 2028. The role is linked directly to the project funding.
The International Initiative of Impact Evaluation is a mission-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to using evidence to transform people's lives in low- and middle-income countries. We are the global leader in funding, producing, and synthesizing high-quality evidence of what works, for whom, how, why and at what cost. 2. Position summary
3ie is inviting applications for a Senior Communications Manager to join the FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (RCC) team at 3ie. With the RCC entering its third year of operation, this is an exciting time to join the project.
The role will be responsible for the strategic management of RCC communications and for the oversight and management of the Global Research and Technology Development (GRTD) website . The position will work closely with the team of the FCDO Chief Scientific Adviser and FCDO’s Deputy Head of Research to support the development and rollout of GRTD, suiting a strategic thinker with experience or knowledge of leading communications and engagement campaigns.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised, skilled communicator with excellent command over producing a range of communication and knowledge products such as blogs, policy briefs, infographics, impact stories and case studies, as well as editing technical writing. Prior experience in social media and event management, is desirable. They will be a self-starter with a can-do, team-player attitude.
The ideal candidate will be based in the UK and have the flexibility to travel to London for in-person meetings and events as required. The candidate will need to work according to UK office hours. The role will largely be remote working with dedicated in-person time with the RCC team and with FCDO.
3. Key job responsibilities

4. Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree in journalism, public affairs, marketing, or a field directly relevant to international development, including formal communication training. Exceptional candidates with a bachelor's degree and extensive work experience may be considered
- At least seven to ten years of experience in a communication role in development sector.
- Proven ability to plan and implement communication and engagement strategies for organizations and research projects
- Knowledge of tools for graphic design, content management, social media and event management is desirable (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Canva, Drupal, etc.)

Programme Responsibilities

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Education, Business, Fundraising)
- 8+ years of working in a communications role

- Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages

International Finance Manager
Reports to: Finance Director
Contract: Part-time
Role Purpose
As International Finance Manager, you will work alongside the UK Finance Manager overseeing the full lifecycle of all financial transactions with particular focus on funder grants managed through HOST — across both Project Hosting and Hosted Grantmaking services. You’ll ensure every grant is managed with accuracy, compliance, and care so that funds reach the world’s change-makers safely, transparently, and on time.
You will be responsible for ensuring that funder requirements, hosted partner needs, and HOST’s financial integrity align seamlessly. This means managing due diligence, contracting, reporting, and financial monitoring for all funder grants — whether they are received on behalf of a single hosted partner or distributed through multi-grant programmes.
Working at the heart of the Delivery Circle, you’ll collaborate with the Partnerships, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure HOST’s grant management systems are reliable, scalable, and trusted — enabling funders and movements alike to focus on what matters most: delivering impact.
Core Responsibilities
1. Grant Lifecycle Management (Project Hosting & Hosted Grantmaking)

Manage the end-to-end administration of all funder grants, from due diligence and contracting to financial tracking, reporting, and closure.

Ensure every grant is correctly recorded in HOST’s financial and project management systems (Xero, ClickUp, HOSTHub).

Liaise with hosted partners and funders to clarify grant conditions, budgets, and deliverables.

Track grant progress, disbursements, and reporting deadlines to ensure compliance with funder terms and HOST policies.

Lead on the preparation and review of all grant agreements, amendments, and financial schedules in collaboration with the Legal Lead and Partnerships Manager: Funders.
Reporting cadence: Monthly grant activity summary to Finance Manager and Partnerships Director.
2. Financial Oversight and Reporting

Monitor the flow of all grant income and expenditure, including restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring timely reconciliation with Finance.

Prepare detailed financial reports and proposal budgets for funders, hosted partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed budgets.

Support income deferrals, accruals, and revenue recognition processes as part of monthly and annual financial cycles.

Maintain audit-ready records for all grants and subgrants, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Work with the Data Analyst to integrate grant data into HOST’s KPI and impact dashboards.
Reporting cadence: Monthly reconciliation and quarterly financial performance report.
3. Due Diligence and Compliance

Lead due diligence processes for all incoming funder funds and outgoing subgrants, ensuring alignment with HOST’s AML, CTF, and sanctions compliance frameworks.

Review and verify partner documentation, including governance, financial statements, and risk assessments.

Collaborate with the Legal Circle to ensure all grant agreements meet compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.

Maintain a live due diligence tracker for all funders, hosted partners, and hosted grantmaking recipients.
Reporting cadence: Monthly compliance report; real-time escalation of risks.
4. Project Hosting Grant Management

Manage funder grants received on behalf of Hosted Partners (HPs), ensuring restricted fund management, compliance, and accurate reporting.

Support hosted partners in interpreting funder terms, building compliant budgets, and submitting financial reports.

Coordinate with Community Support Leads to provide responsive guidance on grant use and expenditure tracking.

Ensure that all HP grant income and expenses are recorded accurately and reconciled with funder agreements.
Reporting cadence: Monthly hosted partner grant activity and variance report.
5. Hosted Grantmaking Grant Management

Work with the Partnerships Manager: Funders to manage multi-grant programmes, including collective and participatory funds.

Administer hosted grant cycles — including application reviews, disbursements, and financial reporting from grantees.

Ensure accurate funder reporting and financial documentation for each hosted grantmaking initiative.

Support the development of grantmaking templates, workflows, and SOPs for scale-up through HOSTHub.
Reporting cadence: Monthly hosted grantmaking fund performance review.
6. Collaboration with Partnerships and Delivery Teams

Work with the Partnerships Circle to ensure clear communication between funders, hosted partners, and internal teams.

Support the Finance Team in cash flow forecasting, funder fund management, and budget reforecasting.

Coordinate with the Legal and Operations teams to ensure integrated service delivery across all funding streams.

Collaborate with the Training Lead to deliver guidance or workshops on grant compliance and reporting for hosted partners.
Reporting cadence: Monthly Delivery Circle coordination meeting.
7. Process, Systems, and Continuous Improvement

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all grant-related workflows, including contracting, reporting, and closure.

Support the automation of grant management systems through HOSTHub to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden.

Identify bottlenecks, recommend process improvements, and support implementation across teams.
Reporting cadence: Quarterly systems and improvement review.
8. Risk Management and Audit Support

Identify and mitigate risks across the grant portfolio, ensuring early escalation of financial or operational concerns.

Support external and internal audits, providing complete and accurate grant documentation.

Maintain a continuous improvement mindset toward compliance, ensuring HOST remains audit-ready at all times.
Reporting cadence: Real-time escalation of risks; quarterly risk review with Finance and Legal.
