1. Internal communications (~2.5 days per week)

As our Internal Communications and Events Lead, you will play a key role in engaging, informing, and inspiring our team with what’s happening at Unifrog. You’ll also help us to work even better together, and to retain a happy and effective team.

Your main responsibilities:

• Coordinate our whole team commss

  • Deliver our internal comms strategy, work towards our People team goal and objectives, and use our House Style.

  • Create our monthly internal Unifrog newsletter, writing your own segments, editing other people’s contributions, and evaluating engagement.

  • Collate data from team surveys and work with the People and Leadership teams to put ideas from the team into action.

• Improve the way that we communicate and work together:

  • Share best practice and deliver training on our comms tools (e.g. Slack, Gmail, Asana).

  • Join our AI working group, whose goal is to support the team to use AI more effectively (e.g. leading training, sharing use-cases from across Unifrog).

• Manage our existing comms tools:

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan our whole company team days:

  • Work closely with our CEO and the Leadership team to decide on the team day agenda, budget and format.

  • Find and book venues, hotels, social activities, and meals, and make sure everything’s set up and runs smoothly on the day.

• Support senior managers to plan their away days:

  • Advise on agendas and book venues, socials, and training.

  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration (one of each team’s away days is partly combined with another team).

• Evaluate our team events and continually look to improve their quality, impact, and inclusivity.

• Plan remote socials and office socials for our London HQ.

• Support our Unifrog affinity groups - spaces where team members who share common identities (e.g. being parents), can connect, support each other and champion inclusivity.

• Keep our EDI calendar up-to-date, and mark and celebrate occasions important to people across the team, including cultural heritage months, awareness days, and commemorative events.

Working together

You’ll be part of our People team alongside our: People Assistant, People Coordinator Recruitment Lead, People Lead, Head of People Operations, and People and Operations Director (your line manager).

You’ll also regularly work with a variety of other team members (especially line managers) when organising events.

• Identify and persuade small to medium sized businesses to fund specific schools in Action Tutoring regions as part of a pilot of a ‘local champions’ scheme.
• Drive new applications from potential corporate volunteer tutors, ensuring a strong supply of high quality applications to meet growth targets in each region, for both face to face and online delivery.

About the role

The Senior Programme Advisor (SPA) in the Asia team will focussing on the delivery of a large 3-year corporate partnership started in June 2024 working on freshwater issues in Asia (with focus in India, China, Pakistan) and looking at palm oil production in Indonesia. The programme also has strong advocacy and learning components, and it is testing new innovative approaches such as insetting.

The SPA will coordinate and, when possible, lead on all programmatic input - including technical, financial, M&E - as well as overseeing the coordination and facilitation of other partnership delivery needs including advocacy and communications, science, learning and knowledge sharing.  Working as part of an Asia Regional Unit, in direct collaboration with the Senior Relationship Manager in the Corporate Partnerships team, the SPA role is responsible for:

· Overall coordination of the partnership components (on the ground conservation in 5 geographies, advocacy and communications, research, learning and knowledge exchange), ensuring coherence and collective contribution to the overarching Theory of Change.

· Providing strategic programmatic leadership, oversight, support and advice on the conservation work, with a stronger focus on the work in India and Indonesia

· Identifying additional areas for programmatic development based on an understanding on the corporate partnerships ambition

· Liaising directly with Senior Relationship Manager in Corporate Partnerships team to represent the programmatic needs in the partnership and ensure consistent alignment between Conservation Programmes and Corporate Partnerships for effective partnership delivery.

· Convening and facilitating stakeholder engagement for effective partnership delivery, specifically on the programmatic side, including network partner officesin Asia, colleagues across WWF-UK, the wider WWF Network and where appropriate external organisations

· Coordinating with the wider WWF Network to ensure support to delivery of relevant network ambitions, in combination with WWF-UK’s ambitions and ensuring mutual benefits through the partnership.

· Overarching programme management of the international grants within the partnership portfolio.

On the ground conservation programmes are implemented by teams within network partner offices, the emphasis of this UK-based role will be on ensuring that all programmes are well designed, quality assured, contribute to the overarching partnership theory of change, and risks are managed appropriately, as well as providing strategic advice directly and by convening others to address identified resource and capacity gaps and playing the role of critical friend that can bring insights from across the partnership portfolio to strengthen delivery in each geographic region and the partnership coherence as a whole.

Mencap operates in over 1,600 properties in England, Northern Ireland and Wales. This includes providing personal support services for people with a learning disability in a variety of settings, housing management services across 250 properties, retail shops and offices.

We have a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for a Finance professional to support our property team for the next 18 months as they focus on delivering transformation in their processes. This role is a 30 hours fixed-term contract for 18 months, on a 4 day a week basis.

We have large offices in London, and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK. If there is no office available within a reasonable distance, the role may be offered as home-based with some travel for team meetings. 

We are looking for someone who is a confident communicator with both finance colleagues and operational staff, adapting their style to their audience.
