The Role

3. Key Responsibilities

i. App management & content moderation (25%)

● Perform back-end configurations to ensure continuous functionality and user accessibility.

● Monitor flagged posts to ensure alignment with PBA’s content standards and values.

● Manage user reports about content or other users, taking appropriate action in line with community guidelines.

● Manage groups within the App to ensure appropriate and relevant content is shared.

● Track and analyse hashtag usage to identify emerging themes and insights for community learning.

● Working closely with PBA’s Operations Lead, edit and update key documents within the App (e.g. the Pocketbook), ensuring content remains current and accessible.

ii. User engagement & support (30%)

● Drive engagement with members of the broader Global Network, including collaboration with hubs.

● Proactively re-engage inactive users to boost participation.

● Provide user support, addressing challenges with App settings; escalate and liaise with Builder AI[1] where needed.

● Manage the onboarding of new users, including introductions and tailored engagement suggestions based on interests.

● Implement strategies from the Global Network, from hubs or others to increase user retention and participation.

iii. Community building (Global Network) (30%)

● Serve as the first point of contact for hub-related communications via the App.

● Develop communication templates and resources to support community activity and learning.

● Engage in proactive outreach aligned with the Global Network’s strategy and relevant events.

● Create opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration among network members.

iv. Develop & maintain a user feedback mechanism (10%)

● Create a simple, accessible feedback form that allows users to report glitches, suggest improvements, and share usability concerns (to be created in collaboration with PBA colleagues).

● The form should be designed for both technical troubleshooting and improving user experience, ensuring that feedback can be easily tracked and responded to.

● Monitor submissions regularly and categorise issues by priority.

● Respond to user feedback appropriately and escalate recurring or critical issues as needed.

● Use feedback data to inform App improvement recommendations.

v. Contribute to and uphold the App’s Terms of Use (5%)

● With reference to relevant PBA policies, periodically update the App-specific Terms of Use, to reflect users’ needs and best practices. This document should clearly outline acceptable content, user behaviour standards, and moderation processes.

● Ensure Terms of Use are accessible to all users and incorporated into the onboarding process.

● Draft Content Guidelines to accompany the Terms of Use, covering issues of images, language, legal norms etc. Finalise these following inputs from relevant PBA Leads and the Stewardship Team.

● Monitor user activity to ensure compliance with these terms.

6. Terms and Conditions

The App Manager reports to the Operations Lead and works in close coordination with the PBA Coordinator & Operations Manager, Accreditation Manager, Training Portfolio Coordinator, and the convenor/facilitator of the Global Network to ensure alignment across key areas of the organisation’s workstreams.

The App Manager will be contracted for a period of six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and needs. The App Manager is expected to work one day per month, at a rate of £230 per day, with invoices to be submitted on a quarterly basis. This is a home-based position; however, a degree of flexibility in availability is required to meet demands.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Senior Insight Manager - Propositions. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the Consumer Insight and Experience (CIX) team's insight into Cancer Research UK's fundraising propositions. Managing one direct report, you'll ensure that we deliver high-quality insight projects that influence decision making across the department.

What will I be doing?

• Leading on Consumer Insight and Experience activity for our fundraising proposition and product teams; identifying and aligning requests across product and marketing, facilitating prioritisation and managing workload

• Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, working closely with them to understand their insight requirements and ambitions, and providing guidance on the most appropriate insight projects or programmes of work to meet their goals

• Leading primary and secondary research projects, including commissioning market research agencies, managing project timelines and overseeing costs and data quality checks to ensure projects deliver robust and actionable research findings

• Keeping pace with new insight approaches and techniques, sharing knowledge with stakeholders and the wider Consumer Insight and Experience team to ensure that we have the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to insight challenges

• Driving collaboration by partnering closely with colleagues within Data, Insight and Performance, and Insight teams across CRUK to devise the optimal approach to solving insight challenges within your area

• Line managing one direct report, overseeing their projects to ensure that high standards of quality, accuracy and value for money are achieved.

• As a senior member of the Consumer Insight and Experience team you will be responsible for creating a positive culture which recognises success, develops and drives high performance and rewards results to retain talent within the team and wider function.

What are we looking for?

• Extensive experience of managing market research projects from inception to completion including writing briefs, managing agency procurement, ensuring clear objectives and producing actionable outputs

• Excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and significant experience of deploying appropriate methodologies to drive actionable insight

• Excellent project management and planning skills with ability to prioritise workload across multiple areas and manage ambiguity.

• Proven experience of agency management

• Collaborative working style with excellent stakeholder management skills, demonstrating the ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels winning support for ideas

• Experience of partnering with stakeholders to produce strategic insight plans

• Consumer focused and outward-looking, with a strategic and analytical mindset, good attention to detail and the ability to identify broad themes from data.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate research effectively to colleagues of all levels in both formal and informal environments.

• Strong core market research skills including survey writing & discussion guide development, and relevant experience of data analysis (Excel) and data charting (PowerPoint)

The Insight Analyst will work with the Insight Manager to collect, analyse, and present data and insight to BUCS staff, members and other stakeholders. The Insight Analyst will also take the lead on key projects that support the Insight Manager to deliver the overall data and insight strategy.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in insight, market research or a similar field. They will be confident with a range of data collection and analysis methods, have experience of deriving high-quality insights from quantitative and qualitative data, and be able to present these insights to non-specialist audiences in a clear, actionable way.

You will lead all aspects of charity financial and resource management for two separate but closely connected charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA), which are supported by a single head office team. We are looking for someone to bring enthusiasm, personal credibility, discretion and sensitivity. You will be ultimately responsible for Finance and Resource Management within the charities.
You will work directly with the trustees of both charities and the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) which comprises of the Director of Development, the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) (Director of HR and Programmes), and the Chief Executive. You will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the charities meet their statutory obligations, that financial functions are well ordered and support the work of the charities.
Managing and leading a small and diverse team through high pressure periods including month end, year-end and annual budgeting, you require high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with staff at all levels, often having to mentor the charities’ managers to help them plan and manage their own budgets.
Your financial responsibilities are substantial as you will have overall control and responsibility for all financial matters. You will be thinking both strategically and seeing the big picture, whilst also analysing figures in detail to ensure that the financial management of both charities are sound. The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time, 28 hours per week, Marketing Communications Manager.

You will be a self-motivated creative thinker with proven leadership and management skills and experience in delivering engaging campaigns across a variety of media channels.

You'll ensure the efficient implementation of a shared, insight-driven, and audience-led vision, to deliver CRUK's commitment to research.

In this role, you'll foster an empowered culture within cross-functional teams, building a collective sense of shared ownership of end-to-end outcomes, while maintaining oversight of the entire delivery process and its role in MFE-wide operations and outcomes.

What will I be doing?

• Driving continued growth of CRUK audiences and supporters by proactively managing the delivery of the Giving Platforms programme with implementation plans, working collaboratively and cross-functionally across MFE and beyond, within the allocated budget

• Ensuring that agile cross-functional teams deliver against shared audiences, volume, value, contribution and other objectives, by effectively managing activities, while empowering team members to make decisions

• Collaborating with MFE Proposition teams to develop understanding of their audience needs and income objectives, and supporting them to achieve this by implementing tests and initiatives that leverage opportunities on third party and CRUK owned giving platforms

• Driving a culture of end-to-end delivery, building excellent working relationships, and ensuring a collective understanding of the Giving Platforms programme

• Ensuring that standards are set and upheld for proposition squad processes and culture - including frequent touchpoints and communication cross-functionally, in conjunction with the Senior Programme Manager, Programme Community of Practice and any external benchmarking of best practice in our sector

• Ensuring sound resource allocation plans, proposition briefs and business cases are developed

• Facilitating group activity e.g. proposition squad or working group, including cross-functional decision making, dependency, risk, and issue mediation

• Effectively and efficiently coordinating any changes to the implementation plan, using tools such as service blueprints, working in collaboration with Internal stakeholders, to ensure than any amendments are driving the product/proposition towards the desired outcome

• Working with the Senior Manager (Giving Platforms) and Programme Community of Practice to establish appropriate governance frameworks

• Working with external stakeholders, such as third-party fundraising platforms to meet CRUK in year and long-term goals

What skills are we looking for?

• Experience of project management principles and methodologies - aligned to the need of the programme and best practices

• Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders either within a charitable or commercial environment

• Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and meetings to deliver the required outcome within the time allocated

• Ability to work within a complex and ambiguous environment, ensuring speedy decision-making and timely resolution of issues, including the ability to understand, work and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Adoption of a growth mindset-constantly seeking ways to improve and champion existing processes and approaches within the wider business

• Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively within a cross-functional and cross-disciplinary environment, explaining complex information clearly at a senior level

• Strong commercial skills and financial awareness.
