About the Role

The role involves working with sensitive and potentially traumatic subject matter and occasional travel to attend meetings will be required.

As Head of Witness Service Learning and Development, you will:

• Lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with our values and culture.

• Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

Alongside the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will provide business partnering by build relationships with SMT, managers and their teams, providing them with financial insights, reporting and analysis that enable them to make informed decisions. The post holder will champion and drive automation, enabling the effective and efficient running of the finance function.

The post holder will be a part-qualified/newly qualified accounting professional with experience of working in a not-for-profit setting. The role involves use of our accounting system IRIS Financials (formally PS Financials), ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information; compliance with both internal financial procedures and external regulations; and recording and monitoring of financial data.

This role is based at our head office in 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities:

Financial management and reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flows for the Head of Finance to review.
• Prepare year-end schedules and other supporting documents for submission to external auditors as set out in annual audit plan and support the Head of Finance with responding to auditor queries.

Based across two properties, you and your team will be supporting ten adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, as well as additional mental and physical health needs.

You will play a pivotal ambassadorial role, continuing Centre’s 404 service expansion into the London Brough of Brent and bringing our expertise, vision and values to families in need.

This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. The Communications Manager is responsible for managing CASPA’s communications function and brand development. They will ensure CASPA’s mission and purpose is reflected in our brand and social media presence, and effectively engages members, funders and other stakeholders.

• Plan and deliver inspiring fundraising and advocacy campaigns. 

• Manage CASPA’s brand, website, and social media channels. 

• Create engaging content that champions autistic voices and showcases CASPA’s impact. 

• Build relationships with media and external partners.

• Produce publications, newsletters, and press releases. 

• Work with leadership to shape CASPA’s annual report and manage budgets 

• Oversee CASPA’s volunteer Autistic Content Creators team

About Finance at Hope into Action 

The finance function of Hope into Action is small team comprising the Finance Manager, the Finance Administrators (job-share) and a volunteer reporting to the Head of Operations. It is largely paperless and supports our 44 staff with accounts payable and receivable functions. It works in conjunction with the other departments to deliver timely, accurate and strategic financial information for both the Executive Team and the Board of Trustees.

About the role 

The Finance Manager is a key role in enabling Hope into Action fulfil its vision of every church lovingly making a home for those experiencing homelessness.

The role is broad ranging; from managing the Finance Administrators, supporting their work when needed and also producing the monthly management accounts within our target of 10 working days from the month end.

In addition, you will support the year end work by producing the schedules required by auditors, take a lead in the annual budgeting process, produce the biannual investor statements and compile the Gift Aid returns. 

You will be expected to meet regularly with budget holders to help them achieve their targets and/or devise a plan to bring them back on track.

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a passion for our work, tenants, staff, churches and mission. You will be adaptable and equally comfortable with bank reconciliations as writing a commentary on the management accounts. We employ people of hope where humility, a genuine desire to love and serve others, and strength of character are as important as any job description.
