Job Purpose
The role of the Central Charity is to facilitate member support and the successful operation of the Charity, lead strategic objects that work to ensure the longevity and sustainability of the global movement and to support the delivery of impactful work in communities that meet our aims. Like many membership organisations, we need to focus on turning membership decline into membership growth. This role is an integral part of an exciting opportunity to change and secure the future of the movement. 2026 is our 150th Anniversary, a year to celebrate and focus on growing the movement in Britain and Ireland.
The post holder will work directly with members and support the rest of the Membership Team. Focus will be on managing membership using our new CRM, supporting membership, faith and programme enquiries, initiatives, and operational delivery, supporting Communities of Interest (our member-based forums),
Main responsibilities
Membership Support
- Manage membership enquiries (average across team of 25 emails daily).
- Manage membership - using, inputting, and reporting via our CRM.
- Facilitate and coordinate faith and membership resources and content delivery.
- Support the charity’s Communities of Interest (representative membership groups).
- Lead the administration of national and regional events.
- Support national programme and membership engagement activities.
General
- To produce and provide reports and resources as required for the Director of Membership
- To work across the charity on supporting the incorporation of membership outputs and content in relevant areas of the wider work of the global charity.
- To undertake any other duties as requested by the Director of Membership.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

About The East End Community Foundation (EECF)
EECF supports communities through our charitable activities of grants and programmes. In 2024/25 these totalled over £1.6m and we intend to increase our grant making year on year to provide greater and longer-term support so we can continue to make a difference to the lives of local people by supporting vital community-based projects with grant funding. We are looking for a committed individual with knowledge of the local area to join the Grants and Programmes Team. Working as part of our small and busy team you will ensure that EECF delivers an accessible and credible grants service by providing advice, guidance and support to potential grant applicants, assessing applications for funding, and monitoring and evaluating the impact of our grant making.
About You
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of grant making or applying for funding, and of working in and for the charitable sector, and/or starting out in a career in grant making. The Role
Position: Grants Officer
Responsible to: Head of Grants and Programmes
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)

Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the team in developing, managing, delivering and promoting EECF’s grants programmes.
· Provide information, advice and guidance to grant applicants
· Complete the assessment of grant applications including making phone calls/visits, and completing due diligence checks
· Manage a caseload of grantees including building relationships with grantees, liaising and agreeing outcomes for funded projects, preparing and issuing grant contracts, working with groups through the delivery of their projects to final reporting
· Ensure all information including grant applications are accurately recorded in a timely fashion on the database system Salesforce
· Conduct regular outreach and participate in networking events and awareness raising sessions aimed at potential grant applicants or recipients
· Review end of grant reports and collate information to provide annual reports on grant programmes

What you’ll do
As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.
This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.
- Record, process and reconcile transactions for the company using platforms like Spendesk and Xero, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorised.
- Manage our finance email inbox, responding to queries from schools, universities and employers.
- Manage our accounts receivable processes, keeping track of overdue invoices, chasing partners for payment and recording received payments.
- Support our sales teams with general finance related queries and keeping their partner records up to date on Salesforce (our CRM system).
- Improve, streamline and automate processes within the finance function.
- Get involved with projects such as:
- Setting up a simple way to keep track of the subscriptions we pay for, and make sure we’re getting good value from them.
- Finding solutions to increase the number of invoices paid on time.
- Creating useful reports and dashboards on Salesforce to aid decision making.
- Support the Finance Lead to:
- Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).
- Manage our accounts payable processes, making and recording payments.
- Work on forecasting and variance analysis to support business planning.
- Check through our quarterly VAT return.
- Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
- Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:
- Create the annual budget.
- Support on ad-hoc projects and data analysis requests.
Who we’re looking for
You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.
- You’re organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail that helps keep things running smoothly and accurately.
- You enjoy solving problems and thinking critically about how things can be improved, streamlined or automated.
- You’re quick to learn new systems and tools, you might not have used platforms like Xero or Salesforce before, but you’re keen to get stuck in.
- You take ownership of your work, following through on tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You’re proactive and hands-on, excited to go beyond your core responsibilities to improve how we work and help make it a success.
- Being a proficient user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot table, x-lookup) is a bonus.
- Having an educational background in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential.
Working together
We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. You’ll also be liaising with our external accountants who take lead with the financial accounting and payroll side of things.

As an International Policy Assistant at the Law Society, you will play an important role in undertaking research and monitoring international developments affecting solicitors' international practice, with a particular focus on Europe and the Americas.

We are recruiting a Senior Casework and Service Coordinator to assist the Support Services Manager, provide guidance and advice to colleagues, and manage incoming queries from service users. Role overview
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.
Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.
Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference.
