About the role

Key duties are as follows:

• Lead the development of the organisation’s financial strategy, aligning with overall organisational goals.
• Provide strategic financial planning and forecasting to support decision-making, including a 5-year strategy and finance plan, annual budgets, and operations plans.
• Oversee and support delivery of day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee and continue development of appropriate financial systems, processes and policies, including contract management system.
• Develop with CEO and the Trustee Board strategies to diversify funding sources and enhance financial resilience.
• Oversee and support the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the Trustee Board, Audit and Risk Committee and other stakeholders, highlighting financial performance and risks.
• Lead the development and oversight of the organisation’s risk management framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
• Act as a key adviser to the Board of Trustees, Finance & Audit Committee, and senior leadership on financial governance and risk matters.
• Manage the Finance, Governance and Legal teams and associated strategic responsibilities for the charity

About you

• You will be a qualified accountant with significant senior-level finance experience
• Proven expertise in strategic financial planning and forecasting
• Experience of working with Boards and / or Committees
• A collaborative leadership style with proven staff management experience.
• Ability to be hands-on where required in the day-to-day running of the finance and operations teams

About the role

The Legacy Case Assistant role is pivotal in supporting the award winning Legacy Case Management team to deliver our transformational legacy income of £15 million each year. Legacies are Christian Aid's largest single source of voluntary income and are one of our key fundraising priorities. About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to provide a front-line response to reports of serious anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, safeguarding and other community safety issues. Our Anti-Social Behaviour Team is a small, high performing team which deals with the above issues, along with our duties under Prevent, Modern Day Slavery, Hate Crimes and the Community Safety Partnership. This vacancy would give you the ideal opportunity to provide a front-line response and support Council tenants that report serious anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, safeguarding and other community safety issues.
 
About you
You will be working closely with our colleagues in our Housing Management team, the Police, Social Services and other partner agencies. We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team with direct case management expertise of handing complex cases involving anti-social behaviour, and domestic abuse or safeguarding – either with a local authority or a social housing provider. There is a lot of autonomy in this role and its best suited to a candidate that can work proactively on their own initiative handling a demanding caseload.

The Opportunity

Be part of a national team improving how services respond to domestic abuse.

As our Senior Trainer, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of our training offer, so more professionals have the confidence and skills to respond well to domestic abuse.

You will design and deliver engaging training online and in person, coordinate rotas and resources, uphold quality, and use feedback to keep content relevant and impactful. You will also line manage two Training Coordinators, nurture key client relationships, and support proposals and bookings that grow our reach and repeat business.

About You

You are an established trainer with experience in the Violence Against Women and Girls sector. You can design and deliver dynamic, inclusive sessions for mixed audiences, both online and in person, with strong feedback and repeat bookings to show for it.

You bring solid understanding of housing and health including safeguarding and local pathways, and you are confident running day to day operations, scheduling and capacity planning.

You have experience line managing people and setting clear standards through observation, coaching and quality assurance. You are comfortable scoping client needs, shaping simple SLAs and turning data and feedback into clear KPIs and reports.

You are trauma informed, anti-racist, collaborative and calm under pressure, with strong communication and sound judgement. A relevant training qualification such as PTLLS or equivalent is desirable.

Whilst this is a remote based job, you will need to be located within London/Home Counties area and be able to travel when required.

About the role

This role plays an integral part in helping produce and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team. The activity of the role focuses on undertaking policy, influencing and other public affairs activity inclusive of ensuring the CoSRH’s Hatfield Vision achieves its aims to improve reproductive healthcare for all, and assisting the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) with its programme of activity.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. Experience of working in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as experience of working in a project environment is desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant to support the financial accounting and compliance functions of the College.

This is an important role within the Finance team, supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring the integrity of financial information, robust financial controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Financial Accountant and wider finance team, you will take responsibility for key accounting processes including payroll, tax, treasury management, and monthly financial reconciliations. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting audit preparation, and ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the integrity of financial systems and ensuring accurate, timely accounting entries and reconciliations
• Supporting the Financial Accountant in preparing key balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, investments, accruals, prepayments and deferred income
• Assisting with internal and external audit processes and the preparation of group statutory accounts
• Processing monthly payroll and pension submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Supporting VAT, corporation tax and Gift Aid returns, and ensuring all submissions are completed on time
• Managing banking and treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and reconciliation of company credit cards
• Providing administrative support for finance systems, including user access and coding updates
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including system developments and process efficiency projects

Essential skills and experience:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in financial accounting or operations roles, ideally within the charity, not-for-profit or public sector
• Experience supporting statutory accounting, audit preparation, payroll, pensions and VAT returns
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reconciliation processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Desirable:

• Knowledge of charity accounting and regulatory requirements, including SORP
• Experience using Business Central or similar ERP/financial systems
