Job description

Looking for a role that’s rooted in community, flexible around real life, and full of purpose? This is your chance to help shape a growing parent-led movement from the ground up.

Walking Mum’s Club is a grassroots CIC supporting parents through free, inclusive walks that boost mental, physical and social wellbeing. We’re now hiring a Project Lead & Mama Leader Coordinator to help us grow our reach, support our brilliant volunteer team, and make sure no parent feels alone.

You’ll start by leading weekly guided walks for parents, then transition into coordinating our team of volunteer Mama Leaders across Manchester. We’re looking for someone warm, empathetic and confident — with a knack for community engagement and a drive to meet targets that really matter.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing CIC with big vision, strong values and real impact. If you care about maternal wellbeing, lived experience and building something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.

Please ensure you read the attached person spec before applying.

Please note: This is a temporary contract until July 2026, based on current funding. However, we are committed to working together to secure future funding and explore opportunities to extend the role beyond this period.

The successful candidate will be recruited on a self-employed contractor basis and will be responsible for managing their own tax and National Insurance contributions.

A full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role, as it involves travelling between walk locations across Greater Manchester.
