The Training Coordinator plays a key role in supporting delivery of training for the Award network.

Summary

Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters

Qualifications:

As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

SHiFT’s Data Analyst has responsibility for: 

Data Collection and Management

• Support the effective use of SHiFT’s Salesforce system, ensuring accurate, timely data entry and maintenance across local Practices.
• Assist members of our local Practice Teams (Practice Coordinators and Guides) with data queries and monthly surveys.
• Coordinate and quality-assure monthly data submissions, working closely with Practice teams to ensure consistency and completeness.

A core part of this role is building and sustaining trusted relationships with by-and-for and community-led organisations to support outreach, engagement, and the inclusive recruitment of survivors from Black and minoritised communities and other marginalised groups. You will also support the coordination and facilitation of SEA’s Experts by Experience Group (EEG), moderate our online Survivor Forum, and contribute to delivering our Survivor Engagement Strategy. You will help ensure that survivor voices - especially those from underrepresented communities - shape our services, policy and communications work. 

You would be joining SEA at an exciting time, as we strengthen our approaches to inclusive survivor engagement and implement a new strategy to widen participation and reach.

About you

You will be a skilled relationship-builder with strong experience of working with Black and minoritised communities and/or community-led organisations.

You will manage a high-performing team and oversee the development and delivery of our lived experience insight strategy, ensuring it is embedded throughout all areas of our work. You will drive a high-quality programme that supports our strategic priorities, build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our approach. You'll also play a key role in ensuring lived experience is consistently integrated into organisational planning and decision-making. 

Role specifics

As Head of Lived Experience Insight, you will lead the development and delivery of Shelter’s Lived Experience Insight strategy, working with senior leaders to embed lived experience across governance, planning and decision-making. You’ll manage and support a skilled team, ensuring high performance, wellbeing and development, while overseeing the quality and impact of Shelter’s lived experience programme. This includes managing budgets, delivering externally funded projects, and ensuring robust data and evaluation practices. You’ll build strong internal and external relationships, promote shared learning, and drive culture change, co-production and anti-racist practice across the organisation. You will also ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and continuous improvement are central to all aspects of the team’s work.

About the team

This role heads the Lived Experience Insight Team which sits within the Equity, Inclusion and Culture (EIC) Directorate. 

The Lived Experience Insight team works across several different directorates and teams, to support the development of our approach to put lived experience at the heart of our fight for home. 

We work collaboratively with people with lived experience, Shelter staff and key stakeholders. We help to deliver projects and activities which give people with lived experience the opportunity to influence and shape our work. This ranges from organisational governance and strategic decision making to local and national influencing, to staff recruitment.

Job Purpose

Gaddum has secured external funding to deliver an Employer care project, which will provide unpaid carers living in Manchester with support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid or voluntary employment.

Delivery of this support to carers will be by Employment Coaches, who will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations. Successful employment coaches believe in the potential of every individual they work with.

Core responsibilities

• To support carers to address their barriers to employment by providing individual tailored packages of support so they can develop the necessary skills and confidence to secure and sustain employment.
• To act as coach and a mentor to build strong positive relationships, guide, motivate, challenge, encourage and help carers obtain sustainable employment.
• To ensure delivery targets are achieved by working with carers to identify employment opportunities and support them into and during employment.
• To meet personal performance targets and Key Performance Indicators.
• To manage a caseload of carers and utilise a variety of coaching strategies to help carers overcome barriers to obtaining sustainable employment.
• To undertake in-depth assessments using a suite of tools to fully understand a carers circumstances, preferences and holistic barriers to progression.
• To co-produce personalised action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
• To work with multiple agencies to develop holistic approaches to support carers. (Support the carers in all aspects of job-search and interview preparation to ensure that customers are matched to the right job that enables them to sustain employment and develop a career.
• To develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market to source suitable job opportunities.
• Identify specific recruitment needs of potential employers.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to maximise customer opportunities.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure that the service continues to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain IT files and customer records to the required compliance and quality standards.
• Fully comply with Gaddum policies including those for personal data security, safeguarding and health & safety.

We're recruiting for an Engagement Lead, to work in our Innovation & Practice team. 

As Engagement Lead you will play a central role in our team – developing, leading and managing significant projects for us, including citizens’ assemblies, citizens’ juries, deliberative workshops, and participatory processes. Safe to Learn is a newly established network of teachers, parents, researchers, policymakers, young people and child safeguarding practitioners, working together to end antisemitism in UK schools. Bluesci at Night offers a safe, welcoming space for people 365 nights a year, and we also provide Smoking Cessation Support.   

Peer support Workers hold a key position in the Trafford Living Well service, working with individuals and groups, to help people to reach their individual recovery goals.

Peer support workers support individuals to establish greater control over their lives, helping to identify aspects of life that give meaning, hope, value and purpose whilst recognising that everyone’s recovery is a uniquely personal process.

As an integral and valued member of the multi-agency team, the post holder will support team members by role modelling and using lived experience of mental health services to shape the service's quality.
