Reporting to Head of Employment & Careers you will be required to manage and support a varied and challenging caseload into employment by providing high quality information and guidance. Your role will also require meaningful weekly contact with beneficiaries, conducting regular reviews of agreed actions and setting revised actions where applicable. As a Senior Employment Advisor, you will be expected to conduct employer engagement activity for the service, as well as support the delivery of job fairs and sector specific workshops. The role will also require you to ensure the service is at capacity levels by establishing and maintaining a network of referral partners and attending outreach events.
You will have at least 3 years of experience working in a similar post supporting disadvantaged groups back to work and/or training and education. You will have experience of working in an evidence-based practice and working to set targets. You will be equipped with influencing and persuasion skills.
You will also be responsible for conducting caseload reviews weekly/monthly and maintaining up to date beneficiary records on our internal systems.

We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Individual Giving and/or Philanthropic Fundraising
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships with UK-based high-value donors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an engaging, confident presence
- Results-driven with a track record of securing four and five-figure gifts
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in using CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Donorfy, Raiser’s Edge)
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments
- Passionate about making a positive social impact through charitable giving
- Knowledge of ethical fundraising standards and donor stewardship best practices
- Experience working with philanthropic advisors, family foundations, or legacy donors

As the Event Manager [Challenge and Third-Party Events], you will play a huge part in making these ambitions a reality and paving the way for our future.
You will be responsible for planning, developing, marketing, and implementing the challenge and third-party events portfolio, ensuring outstanding stewardship of participants, providing on the day leadership and full post-event review against objectives. Success will be measured primarily by achieving income targets within the planned expenditure, but also number of attendees, publicity, retention of supporters, receipt of positive feedback and return on investment with a community-first led approach. What you'll do:
As the Service Manager you will be required to successfully apply for CQC registration for regulated activity and/or registered services within 6 months of appointment. You will ensure that your teams meet all statutory requirements and that all support is delivered in compliance with CQC expectations and Look Ahead's policy and procedures. You will take responsibly for maintaining compliance with the regulations and ensure that the appropriate notifications are made where necessary.
You will be responsible for the effective management of all aspects of service delivery, including line managing the relevant front line staff as well as effectively managing all stakeholder relationships in partnership with the Head of Operations. An exciting opportunity is presented to work for SARC as our new Centre Manager making a real difference in tackling poverty and disadvantage for local people in the Southampton area. Responsible to the SARC Board this role may also require work in other locations and some occasional evening work.
As our Centre Manager you will have overall responsibility for the effective management of the charity and its assets, as well as for the development, delivery and sustainability of all its activities and functions.
We need someone with experience of working in an advice and representation role and preferably with experience in managing a busy small advice team. Working closely with the Board you will make a major contribution to setting the organisation’s vision, values, strategy and direction.
Responsible for the development and planning of advice and representation services which improve the health and wellbeing of Southampton residents and more widely where funding and resources permit, you will also have responsibility for securing the financial, physical, technological and other resources necessary to maintain and expand provision in response to identified need. The post carries responsibility for risk management, safeguarding, and for ensuring legal compliance with charity and company law and that SARC maintains AQS standards for our services.

Pensions

Annual Leave

Purpose
The Fundraising Development Officer supports the delivery of our individual giving programme, helping to nurture current supporters and attract new ones.
You will be responsible for building our regular giving support, implementing supporter journeys and co-ordinating our annual appeals. You will also work closely with the Head of Fundraising in developing our major donor plans, and support with other individual giving channels, including in-memory giving and legacy giving.
The role also takes a lead on prospect research, supporting the development of our portfolio of high-value prospects. Through detailed research on prospects and donors, you will build prospect pipelines that will support income growth across the fundraising team. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will see you supporting individual fundraisers across the team nd strengthening the prospect pipelines that drive income at the highest levels. You will use a range of sources to obtain relevant information that can contribute to proposals, communications and donation strategies.
We are looking for someone who has great communication and research skills, and a collaborative approach. You will be a self-motivated, proactive and analytical individual with the ability to build, manage and develop relationships across teams.

Key responsibilities and duties

Manage our ‘Friends of Charlie Waller’ regular giving scheme, building the supporter numbers and engagement with the charity.

Implement the supporter journeys for regular and one-off donors, creating communications to engage them with the cause and understand the impact.

Co-ordinate our appeals cycle, working closely with colleagues across the charity to collate appeal content, including case studies, statistics and images.
