At Living Reasons, we believe that real change comes from lived experience. To make sure everything we do is relevant, effective, and grounded in the realities of people’s lives, we are creating a Lived Experience Advisory Board.

This is a non-executive, advisory role. Board members do not carry trustee responsibilities but instead play a vital part in shaping and guiding the organisation. The insights and perspectives of our board members will directly inform the decisions of our trustees, helping us stay focused on what truly matters to the people we support.

How the Board Works

• The board is made up of different lived experience groups, each focusing on particular areas.

• Members can meet in their groups to share experiences, support one another, and identify key issues.

• Groups can also set up their own sub-groups where needed.

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

What can you expect to be doing?

• Supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers in the Mid-Sussex area
• Planning fundraising events and activities with your team
• Allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

A bit more information about this role and the team

• This is a flexible role. The amount of time you offer can work to your availability and convenience.
• There may be opportunities for your activities to be fully remote and/or admin based if you'd prefer.
• You will need your own transport if you wish to attend events, ideally a car or van since items, stock and equipment will usually be needed.
• We ask that you complete training to support you in your role. This can be completed online if you have access to the internet and the necessary device (computer/laptop/tablet etc). Support can be offered or paper versions of much of the training if needed.

Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

The wellbeing of our people is important and at Cats Protection we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk and all those that we come into contact with as part of our activities.

About It’s Time:

It’s Time is a charity created by and for young adults who have experienced the death of a parent. Founded by people who know this grief first-hand, the charity ensures no one aged 18–35 has to navigate such loss alone. Through peer-led support, events, free group therapy, and tailored resources, It’s Time offers connection and understanding during an often isolating time. The charity also partners with universities, workplaces, and families to promote better bereavement support - recognising that grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and the help offered to young adults shouldn’t either.

The charity was founded in 2021 and we now run local peer support groups throughout England, have a year long waiting list for our group therapy and supports around 500 people in the online community.  We recognise that as we grow our needs and those of our community are changing and are looking for someone skilled in charity growth to steer us into the next phase of our development.

About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and committed Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees and lead the financial stewardship of our growing charity. This is a vital voluntary role for someone with strong financial expertise who wants to make a meaningful difference in a purpose-driven organisation.

As Treasurer, you will ensure the financial health, integrity, and sustainability of the charity – guiding strategy, overseeing controls, and making sure the Board understands its financial responsibilities. Corporate Justice Coalition’s (CJC) mission is to secure greater protection of human rights and the environment with regard to the global operations of UK corporations, including improved access to justice for those harmed by the activities of UK companies. Volunteer Fundraising Lead

About Us

We are a mission-driven Community Interest Company dedicated to early intervention against online harms and the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSEA) and violence against women and girls (VAWG). Rooted in a behavioural science approach combined with systems thinking, we work to understand the contemporary online context for children and young people and pathways to engaging with harmful content, develop evidence-based interventions which support healthier sexual and social development, and create safer communities through primary and secondary prevention.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Volunteer Fundraising Lead to help us grow our income and strengthen our financial sustainability. This is a key voluntary role for someone with a background in fundraising who wants to use their skills to make a measurable difference in a sensitive but vital area of public benefit, increasingly recognised as an urgent issue and one in receipt of growing governmental attention.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and lead a fundraising strategy aligned with our mission and values

· Identify and research suitable grant, trust, and foundation opportunities

· Draft and submit funding applications in collaboration with the CIC’s director

· Build relationships with potential donors, funders, and community partners

· Explore and recommend individual giving, crowdfunding, and corporate support options

· Track fundraising performance and maintain basic reporting for transparency and impact

· Contribute to funding-related communications (e.g., case for support, impact updates)

What We’re Looking For

· Experience in fundraising (professional or voluntary), especially in small or early-stage organisations

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently

· Commitment to safeguarding, sensitivity, and ethical fundraising

· Alignment with the CIC’s mission and core values of safety, empathy, collaboration, innovation, and integrity

· Understanding of confidentiality, discretion, and working with potentially sensitive subject matter

Time Commitment

· Approximately 5-15 hours per month

· Flexible schedule, with occasional online meetings

We are seeking a forward-thinking and inclusive Trustee to join the Board and work towards assuming the role of the Board’s Honorary Secretary and help lead us on our journey.

The Honorary Secretary will be able to combine personal humility with an urgency to achieve the mission of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and the drive to invest in ongoing organisational development.  They will be able to demonstrate servant leadership and be able to unite and inspire our movement behind our collective vision. 

Embodying the culture of The Wildlife Trusts, the Honorary Secretary will work with the Chair and the Board to advance and grow the reputation of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust as an organisation of excellence that can inspire collective leadership throughout its movement and beyond, in the wider world.

This can be a demanding, yet rewarding role, suited to someone who is able to navigate through complex relationships and communicate well at all levels. Being able to motivate and bring people on a journey is a must.

This is a role that is elected to annually by the Board of trustees.

The role of our Trustees is varied and stimulating.  You will be bringing your expertise, experience and passion to help lead a dynamic, multi-functional, multi-specialist organisation.
