Purpose of post

By instruction and in partnership with the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) the Programme Director will manage and coordinate the operational areas of VFCC based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met. The Programme Director prioritise the target/ objectives. We are looking for an experienced Programme Director to supervise a wide range of programs. You will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program. You will supervise teams and inform management on progress and performance.

A successful Programme Director must have a broad knowledge of program management principles. They must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates.

The goal is to ensure every program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization

Key tasks

• The Programme Director will assist senior management in establishing the development of the organisations long-term business Plan.
• The Programme Director will ensure that the strategic aims and planning of departments budgets/objectives are in conjunction and agreed by the CEO.
• The Programme Director will be responsible for monitoring workflow, ensuring optimal productivity, performance, milestones and deadlines are met across the organization.

• Work closely with other departments to promote efficient optimisation.

• Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed, read reports prepared by managers to monitor progress.
• Ensure program operations and activities comply to legal guidelines and internal policies.
• Knowledge of child protection/safeguarding policy/procedures and be able to act and make reports as necessary

The VFCC experience:

• To ensure that care experienced children and young people have a positive experience of VFCC.
• To ensure VFCC is a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
• To ensure young people are signposted to further opportunities to develop their skills and experience.
• To coordinate children and young people’s meaningful involvement/participation with the governance and operations frameworks of the organisation.

Other duties:

• To work within the organisation’s policies and practice guidelines.
• To participate in supervision sessions, staff meetings, managerial meetings, and the team activities.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as may be required by the Chief Executive Officer.
• Deputise with the Influencing Director in the absence of Chief Executive Officer.
• The Programme Director will occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends with the occasional requirement to stay away from home overnight.

The Salvation Army – Supporter Acquisition Manager x 2

Along with the Assistant Head of Individual Giving, the Supporter Acquisition Managers are  responsible for growing the organisation’s file of donors and hitting an annual Individual Giving team fundraising target of £50 million in unrestricted income. As a direct marketing subject matter expert, they will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The roles will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. Each manager will hold strategic areas of focus, be responsible for seven figure expenditure budgets and line manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive.

The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors.  You will have a passion for fundraising with a commercial understanding of the charity marketplace and competitors. As well as previous experience in identifying areas of innovation and devising testing plans to launch and roll out, you will also have a track record in successfully leveraging value from data collated on supporter databases, to maximise targeting and data segmentation.

Excellent numeracy and strong analytical skills will be combined with excellent written communication abilities and a good attention to detail and ability to prioritise work. Finally, you will have the ability and willingness to work within, and be empathic with, the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional based on the East Coast to both drive high-impact new business from corporations and major donors and build our visibility and external communications to support that goal. Key Responsibilities:

Major Gift Fundraising (50%)

• Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
• Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
• Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.

We are looking for an experienced Careers and Employability Adviser with extensive knowledge of working with care experienced young people (16-26) to guide and support young people in their professional development to help them reach their full potential.

Position: Careers and Employability Adviser

Location: London Waterloo (twice a week based in Lewisham)

Salary: £34,900 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Ebony Horse Club is a Brixton-based charity that works with young people from low-income backgrounds, using horses as a powerful catalyst to build confidence, aspirations, and life skills.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to breaking down barriers to access, particularly for those young people and families who are often excluded from mainstream services and opportunities. We know that isolation, socio-economic disadvantage, and lack of access to safe, welcoming community spaces are some of the most persistent challenges facing families in our area. Our work directly addresses these challenges by creating inclusive, supportive environments that over the last 30 years, has developed into a much-needed community hub.

Our stables in the heart of Lambeth is not just a place to ride horses; we are a safe space where almost 200 young people every week can build trusted relationships with adults, develop a sense of purpose, and gain vital skills through mentoring, youth work, and enrichment activities. We facilitate transformative experiences that build confidence, resilience, and life skills through riding and horse care and many of our members go on to find work in the equine or related fields through our assistance, funding and contacts in tertiary education and beyond.

We are looking for a Senior Youth Worker to join our team to help shape and deliver our services here in Brixton as we enter our 30th year. Join a fun, enthusiatic team of staff and volunteers - as well as 9 horses (and a couple of dogs). We're looking for a flexible, creative and positive person to take the lead on organising trips, creating opportunities and working directly with young people on site here in Brixton. 

The role requires evening and weekend work, however we know life happens so try to offer as much flexibility as possible. However, as this is a frontline role, this is not suitable for candidates who may want to work remotely. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our successful and experienced team on a fixed term contract providing maternity cover between July/August 2025 and July/August 2026.

Why is this role so critical to us?

The Operations Manager leads all BucksVision’s operational activities, including service delivery, financial processing and communications.

Together, with having your own clear accountabilities, you will collaborate and partner with Chief Executive to ensure that BucksVision’s services continue to be effective in delivering the charity’s aims and objectives.

Your Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Member of BucksVision’s Senior Management Team (along with the Chief Executive).
• Through collaboration with the Chief Executive, and the Trustee Board, ensure all BucksVision’s services are managed and are performing to expected high standards in support of our customers.
• Be the operational lead for BucksVision, managing service delivery, office administration, internal and external communications, and financial processing.
• Day-to-day management of the office and administrative duties ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place whilst inquisitive to seek out and implement areas for continuous improvement.
• Deliver strong line management responsibilities to one Administrator and deputise for the Chief Executive in their absence.
• Responsible for the management of BucksVision’s CRM system (Beacon)
• Manage the financial administration and processing of the charity, including invoicing, payments and payroll, and work with the financial auditors to ensure information is accurate and provided in a timely manner during the audit of annual accounts.
• Manage all internal and external communications to staff and stakeholders, including marketing and publicity materials such as BucksVision’s quarterly newsletter, website and social media.
• Proactively work with local organisations and partners to raise awareness of BucksVision’s services, through presentations, community events and other profile-raising activities.
• Responsible for dealing with customer queries, resolving these in a timely and effective manner, with excellent standards of customer service.
• Responsible for monitoring and reviewing operational activities, ensuring the services deliver results as planned.
• Provide operational support to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.

You will spark our interest by being:

• A good “all-rounder”, love the detail, obsessed with accuracy with broad operational and administrative experience.
• An experienced service delivery, project or operations manager ideally with experience in a charity or community sector organisation.
• Confident managing a diverse, and wide range, of administrative and operational tasks. No two days are the same!
• Able to coordinate several projects simultaneously, with a focus on ensuring customers receive a good service at all times.
• Able to demonstrate experience of monitoring, evaluating, and improving services for a charity, social enterprise or voluntary organisation.
• Comfortable working in a small charity with an open and friendly culture.
• Proficient user of Office 365 and CRM systems.

Introduction

The National House Project (NHP) supports Local Authorities to work with young people to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to live connected and fulfilling lives. By developing a community of support, completing the House Project Programme and being able to make their house a home young people can look forward to a positive future.

This is an exciting time to join NHP and we are seeking a skilled and experienced professional who can support our vision to ensure that young people leaving care live connected and fulfilling lives.

About the role

Whilst the House Project approach sets out a clear pathway for young people to move into a house that becomes their home, being in the House Project is so much more than an offer of accommodation.

Staff working in the projects are trained in relational and trauma informed approaches. They use a psychologically informed practice framework to work with young people in both groupwork and individual settings and this work is supported by social pedagogical approaches. Working with young people in a groupwork setting and offering individual direct support enables the development of relationships and shared experiences which allows young people to be involved in the running of their LHP and central to the decisions that are made about them.

NHP provides a framework and not a model and whilst LHPs must keep to the fidelity of the approach, local environments and the young people themselves will determine how projects proceed.  This is where you will come in as a practice lead. With knowledge of child development, attachment styles, trauma informed care, the care system and the House Project approach you will support staff in LHPs to work in ways to develop practice that puts young people at the heart of the decision-making process and supports the local ‘system’ to improve how young people leave care.

As a Practice Lead you will have responsibility for a number of LHPs and will:

• Ensure that LHPs have young people at the heart of the decision-making process and that practice is evidence based and trauma informed
• Ensure that LHPs adhere to the fidelity of the approach whilst flexing to accommodate local arrangements
• Manage risk and deal with trauma at an individual, organisational and systemic level, turning these challenges into opportunities for change with improved outcomes for the young people.
• Work with the Care Leavers National Movement as well as the core team to ensure that young people continue to drive their own LHP and develop practice at both a local and national level

You will have primary responsibility for supporting LHPs in The North.

You will be based at the NHP office in Crewe for a minimum of 2 days per week, but you will be expected to travel to LHP and attend meetings across the country on a regular basis.
