Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA) is a long-established and well-respected infrastructure support organisation for the voluntary and community sector in Kingston. We have grown in the last few years in the number and variety of projects as well as the number of team members. KVA is in its second year of delivering the Infrastructure Support Contract awarded by the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Together with our VCSE Sector Development Manager, internal team and external partners, you will ensure that KVA offers an ambitious and innovative capacity building programme for Kingston community and voluntary sector organisations.

We are looking for an experienced capacity building officer with a wide skillset and a track record of achieving outcomes for local communities by undertaking hands-on work with VCSE organisations of all sizes and structures, including, but not limited to support with fundraising, ability to better demonstrate their impact, develop policies and procedures and set up and run a charity or community organisation.

You will have a problem-solving approach, with patience, good listening skills, but also ability to be a critical friend when needed.

We are seeking a talented Business Engagement Officer to deliver Workwhile’s support offer to small- and medium-sized businesses. Whilst this will currently focus primarily on supporting business to create apprenticeships, you’ll also work on issues across the ‘good work’ agenda. Alongside this, you’ll ensure we’re collecting the data we need from SMEs and other partners, to monitor our impact and report to our funders.

Main Role Responsibilities

• To work with the Head of Commercial and Events on the development of the commercial strategy with the support of Trustees, the senior leadership team, members and other staff and stakeholders as necessary. 
• To be responsible for identifying and delivering key income streams, as outlined in the commercial strategy to meet agreed financial targets and KPIs.
• To manage existing and develop new relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfactions whilst achieving and maximising income opportunities. 
• Measure and evaluate the success of the commercial strategy business development and income generation workstreams.
• To represent the NFCC to corporate audiences and at corporate events, delivering pitches and presentations.
• To continually be researching new business opportunities for specific target markets. 
• To develop new corporate partnerships through relationship building.
• To be responsible for the account management of appropriate partnerships and provide the highest level of relationship management.
• Preparation of reports, briefing papers and other information on various matters, when required.to the senior management team and Trustees including liaison with senior members and officers across the National Fire Chiefs Council, other relevant staff across Fire and Rescue Services.
• Act as liaison and first point of contact for commercial enquiries into the NFCC and  dealing with them as appropriate. Enquiries may be from within the organisation, other fire and rescue services or elsewhere. 
• To create and assist in the drafting of timely and well-informed reports, business cases and provide advice regarding commercial developments.
• Develop an effective network with Fire and Rescue Service sector groups and other internal and external stakeholders. 
• Establish and maintain management processes and systems that provide for clear and understandable management information.

As our Senior Operations Officer, working closely with the Head of Operations, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our organisational operations. We are looking for a new team member to provide full administrative and programme support to the Employment & Careers team. Key Purpose:

Engage with staff and volunteers at a local and national level across RABI as well as with key external stakeholders and partners to influence compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures. Support the Senior Service Delivery Manager to implement RABI’s reporting through maintenance of effective internal recording and reporting systems (CPOMS). Promote a high level of safeguarding awareness and related training throughout the organisation guided by priorities highlighted in the safeguarding action plan. Provide a high level of safeguarding support to all staff and volunteers and embed a strong culture of safeguarding across RABI. The role

MIND in Haringey and its partner Public Voice delivers the Voluntary and Community (VCS) Capacity Building contract commissioned by the London Borough of Haringey. The contract, which runs from May 2024 to April 2027 can be extended for a further four years at the discretion of the Client. The Contract includes the administration and management of the Volunteer Centre and the development and promotion of a Navigation Network (NavNet) knowledge sharing platform, META Workplace.

The Community Collaborative team will be located across different sectors of the Borough employed by either MIND in Haringey or Public Voice who make up the consortium partners. Day-to-day management of the Community Collaborative service is the responsibility of the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager.

Look Ahead manages a number of young people services in Bracknell and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Look Ahead is looking for a highly motivated and committed Housing & Income Officer for an initial 6-month placement to work alongside our support workers and deliver a good quality intensive housing management service to our customers.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of housing management within the service. This will include rent arrears management, occupancy agreement management, ASB management, void management and some compliance and repair reporting responsibilities. This is not an exclusive list.

You will be based at our local offices in Bracknell, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. You will have significant daily contact with our customers and staff.
The successful candidate needs to be able to meet challenging targets for arrears and voids, have excellent problem-solving skills and be prepared to “go the extra mile”.

The role is based on site at two of our young people's schemes-  visiting customers in their homes and having a presence in the community. This role covers Bracknell Forest in Berkshire, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead region.

This role is a Fixed Term Contract, lasting 6-9 months.

What you’ll do:

• Sign up new customers to the appropriate occupancy agreement and ensure housing benefit claims submitted and maintained correctly.
• Be responsible for monitoring and updating all relevant information on Look Ahead`s housing management database including inputting all new customers and ending occupancy agreements in a timely way.
• Proactively monitor rent accounts and take timely and effective action to deal with increasing rent and service charge arrears.
• Ensure all customers are supported to have the most appropriate payment method (rent payment cards, direct debit etc.) for their individual circumstances to ensure easy payment of their rent and/or arrears.
• Lead on making back-dated claims for housing benefit and appealing over-payment deductions.
• Ensure that all customers are kept informed of their rent account status regularly and that action plans are agreed with customers to address any arrears or other rent related issues promptly.
• Issuing arrears warning letters, monitor payment agreements and escalate arrears enforcement action.
• Serve accurate notices for possession, complete court paperwork and represent Look Ahead in court cases in the county court.
• Requesting rent adjustments and repayment of housing benefit over-payments
• Ensure that there are effective and on-going liaison processes in place with key agencies such as the housing benefit service, Department of Work and Pensions and local police.
• Develop and promote financial inclusion initiatives in the service such as advertising credit unions and local debt management advice services.
• Act as the lead role for void management in services – ensure void inspection forms are completed, void reporting systems are maintained and that there is effective liaison with the organisation’s void team and contractors. Ensure that void turnaround times are in line with Key Performance Indicators and post inspections are completed and reported.
• Support local staff to ensure occupancy levels at the service are as high as possible and escalate issues where necessary.
• Lead on ASB enforcement across the portfolio ensuring early intervention techniques are utilised. Ensure timely and appropriate actions is taken against perpetrators including issuing warnings and serving notices where appropriate.
• Maintaining systems and spreadsheets associated with all housing management functions and producing reports and data where requested.
• Act as the lead role for reporting repairs in the service both in communal areas (internal and external areas) as well as in customer rooms. Ensure all works are post inspected and reported. Liaise with contractors to ensure access is granted.
• Act as the lead officer in completing all required compliance tasks within the service including call point and fire alarm checks, fire door checks, fire evacuation drills, health and safety inspections, carrying out living standard checks. This list is not exhaustive.
• Make sure all compliance records are maintained to a good standard and that KPIs are being met. Liaise with the scheme manager regarding underperformance against compliance targets.
• Participate in team meetings, 1:1 meetings with the manager and undertake any training required for the post.
• Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager
• Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care & Support, those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.

As part of a dynamic and friendly communications and marketing team, your role will help widely raise the profile of TAWS across all areas of work, from creating content for internal and external communications channels, optimising digital content for national reach, building relationships with strategic stakeholders online, to cultivating media relations and drafting impactful press releases.

This role is suited to someone with a passion from tackling inequalities and promoting community wellbeing, and a keen understanding of the social and political landscape in which we operate. You will play a key role in helping to bring the TAWS brand proposition to life, telling our story in compelling and engaging ways to a range of audiences. You will be able to think creatively and see the bigger picture, as well as be comfortable delivering key tasks such as producing a newsletter and social media content. You will be responsible for communications about our key projects, and priorities, taking complex and varied information and translating it into content that promotes the work of TAWS and its impact to diverse audiences. 

We are working to a hybrid model across the organisation and value in-person contact. This role will require regular weekly working at our head office in Birmingham or other designated offices / locations across the city and travel and work from other locations outside of Birmingham as part of our national work.

Main duties

1. Write and edit high quality engaging copy for sharing across internal and external marketing communications channels and in support of the strategic vision, mission and values of TAWS.
2. Build organisational profile with key strategic audiences online on social media, the website, digital channels and through content creation.
3. Support the development and execution of communications and marketing strategies, tactics and deliverables, in line with the brand proposition; develop and implement quarterly communications plans.
4. Working with HR, lead and implement internal communications projects and plans including delivering a monthly internal newsletter and updating the intranet.
5. Develop and deliver communications campaigns for positive social change.
6. Track analytics and create regular reports detailing effectiveness of communications campaigns and our digital channels.
7. Build and maintain relations with local and national media and identify opportunities to amplify our successes and impact.
8. Draft press releases and respond to media requests.
9. Ensure consistency in terms of tone of voice, branding, messaging and frequency of communications across all channels.
10. Source, create, and post content for our social media accounts (using Sprout) and the website, working closely with a range of teams across the organisation including delivery, business development, funding and partnerships.
11. Take complex and varied information and translate it into content that promotes the work of TAWS and its impact to diverse audiences
12. Proof reading, research thematic issues, new digital tools and media channels.
13. Monitor national and local trends, news and opportunities and provide regular internal briefings.
14. Keep abreast of new and emergent thinking across wellbeing, community development and tackling inequalities.
15. Maintain and update an organisational media library (photos, videos, stories, and audio) in line with data protection/consent.
16. Capture and record media to promote projects and key priorities in line with data protection/consent
17. Provide design support for comms collateral, reports, newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters and presentations using appropriate software (e.g., Canva, Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for a range of audiences.
18. Carry out all duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time and within the level of this job description.

Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.

Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.

Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you will use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.

You will play an active role within the community, promoting the service through the delivery of presentations and representing the service at public engagement events. You will also work closely with RAF welfare teams, local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

About you

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Hand in Hand International in their search for a Marketing Officer to raise the organisation’s visibility and support its growth. This is a part-time (3-days a week) opportunity, based in London (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Officer will craft exciting, engaging digital and social media content that deliver results for a range of audiences. The postholder will create and edit web pages using WordPress and deliver targeted paid-for advertising campaigns in Google Aids and LinkedIn Ads. The new Marketing Officer will act as marketing lead for Hand in Hand’s corporate partners, including social content, drafting blogs, and editing pitches, working closely with the fundraising team.

To be successful, you will have marketing experience either in an in-house, or agency role, with excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills. You will be a competent digital marketer, with experience using digital marketing tools, and design software. You will be an effective and thoughtful communicator, able to build effective relationships with colleagues and corporate donors. The Women’s Budget Group (WBG) is the UK’s leading feminist economics think tank, providing evidence on women’s economic position and proposing policy alternatives for a gender-equal economy.

Having been through a period of growth, our small team is expanding! You will lead on content for our website, newsletter and social media channels, helping us to reach new audiences and translate complex ideas into accessible and engaging short videos, infographics and other images.
