At Mosaic - Supporting Bereaved Children, we are clear that our mission is to enable children and young people who have lost someone very close to them to come to terms with their grief in a positive and caring way.  Our work transforms young lives and we'd like you to be part of this.

We are looking for a passionate individual to help tell our story to the local and wider community about what we are doing, and how we transform young lives. We provide counselling to more than 400 children and young people every year, and support many more families and professionals through our uplifting weekend activities, and education programmes.  This role -engaging, communicating, campaigning - is simply vital to our success.

 This is a new post for Mosaic so the individual will have a chance to shape the strategy, advise the CEO and Trustees about our communications and marketing, and be part of a friendly and highly motivated team of 13 (mostly part-time) staff, working on events and activities, fundraising, counselling, training and education.

What you will do

The role will involve:

Researching and adivising on how we best engage with our audiences such as our volunteers, families and other charities through different channels and approaches.

Creating a communications strategy which will strengthen our profile, and improve our website's content, look and feel to ensure more clarity about what we do, more reach and impact

Developing our social media content with the team, thinking about how young people use it and producing metrics on this.  Work with our young people, volunteers and others to create fantastic video content to show our impact.

Leading campaigns for Mosaic, driving impactful communication and building partnerships with the media and other organisations across Dorset to support our mission.

Be part of the team effort to create an overall five-year strategy for Mosaic as we grow, thinking about how we demonstrate our impact and the great relationship we have with schools and charity bodies across the county.

Create press releases and moments where we can tell everyone about the work we're doing, and supporting national campaigns on child bereavement.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience of working in communications, preferably with some marketing experience.

A good track record  of utilising a data-driven and goal-oriented approach to produce effective awareness campaigns

Experience of working with different  platforms, including Meta and TikTok.

Experience in analysing group to create tailored user-journeys

An understanding of media and confidence to engage with them at a local and regional level

Main purpose and scope of Role

This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:

PTA Programme

• Growing our network of PTAs.
• Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
• Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
• Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
• Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
• Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
• Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available. 

Parent Programme

• Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
• Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
• Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
• Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.

Other Programmes/Services

• Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
• Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
• Feeding into programme design.

Wider Stakeholder Engagement:

• Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region. 
• Developing relationships with key local authorities and individuals so they advocate our services and the benefits of our programmes
• Developing relationships with MATs so that they can advocate Parentkind and the benefits of its programmes.
• Identify any opportunities for external funding to from LA’s, Companies, or other funders with the support of our fundraising team.

Organisational Effectiveness: 

• Create and implement operational annual plans and schedules to support our regional targets, ensuring that time specific milestones for their delivery are met.
• Regularly report on the health of our campaigns within your region, through identified KPIs and organisational targets.
• Ensure all knowledge and information is recorded, processed and maintained according to good administration practice.

General

• To keep abreast of relevant educational policy and legislation affecting our key audiences.

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. You will build and leverage a network of advocates to help spread the word, accelerating take-up and growing the RSCM’s reach in churches and schools.

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.

The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.

The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. The holder will play an active part in suggesting, agreeing and delivering agreed KPIs and sales targets, monitoring and adjusting activities as necessary to improve results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the long-term financial viability of the charity and whilst we have a comprehensive product offer, we welcome innovation. Knowsley Carers Centre, a network partner of the Carers Trust, is a registered charity providing information, support, advice, and a voice for carers living and caring in the Borough of Knowsley.

Knowsley Carers Centre is a growing charity, established in ~October 1997 to support the borough's 16000 unpaid/family carers.

A highly motivated and experienced person is required to identify and support unpaid carers.

Proven experience of the sector and an understanding of unpaid carers’ issues are essential along with the ability to work independently.

Job Purpose: To find and assist Carers in the Knowsley area by providing advice, information, drop-in sessions, facilitating support groups, home visiting, training and a variety of other methods highlighted by Carers in Knowsley.

Duties and Responsibilities

Information and Support

All staff are expected to be familiar with the range of services and events provided by Knowsley Carers Centre.

The Carers Support Officers specifically: -

1) Provide Carers with advice and support to improve the quality of their lives and the person they care for:

This will include:

a) Completing current procedure for Carers’ Assessments and to support Carers through the Assessment process.

b) Offering Carers the opportunity to take up other services offered by KCC such as coffee mornings and Holistic Therapies.

c) Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing. Remind carers that we are here to provide a listening ear and offer our counselling service if appropriate.

d) To signpost Carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.

2) Keep up-to-date with services, benefits and organisations relevant to Carers.

3) To assist in the promotion of the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.

4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.

5) Use any of the above opportunities to identify hidden Carers and

Casework

1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.

2) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit with the agreement of line manager.

3) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.

4) Complete all the necessary administrational tasks related to the role including updating all contacts on the database.

Groups and Events

1) Setting up, administering and facilitating Carers Support Groups.

2) Organise outings and events for Carers. To liaise with the manager to raise small funds to assist with one to one support or group support.

3) Work with other members of the Knowsley Carers Centre staff team to plan, organise and facilitate special events and activities e.g. During National Carers Week.

Administration and Monitoring

1) Complete contacts on the database for every interaction with each carer. All phone calls, drop ins, home visits letters, emails and texts to have a separate contact.

2) Ensure attendees at group events whether in house or at another venue complete the signing in sheet. Complete the register for these events on the database if requested to do so. 

3) Add names to waiting lists for trips and events following the standard procedure. Make appointments for carers to attend holistic therapies following the standard procedure.

4) Write up case studies and other reports as requested by line manager.

5) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.

6) All of the above are necessary for management to produce statistics and other monitoring reports to comply with funders requests outlined in the main contract and other sources of funding.

General Tasks

1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.

2) To produce articles for the Carers Centre newsletter and to distribute

to various establishments around Knowsley.

3) To attend and actively participate in regular supervision, team meetings and annual appraisal sessions.

4) To undertake relevant training and staff development activities as required.

5) To undertake occasional evening/weekend work where necessary.

6) To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager.

7) All employees are expected to read and abide by the organisations policies and procedures.

About the role

As Project Officer you will play a central role in the delivery of INTRAC’s consultancy assignments and grant funded projects. This will involve coordinating short and long term projects, involving staff and consultants through our global network and clients around the world, ensuring effective and quality delivery. We carry out a wide variety of assignments, ranging from project evaluations to bespoke in-house training and learning partner roles for complex, multi-country civil society strengthening programmes.

You will work on a range of activities, such as organising and supporting online learning sessions, meetings or focus groups, coordinating feedback, communicating with team members and clients, administrative tasks, to support the smooth running and success of our work.

You will have an eye for detail, experience providing administrative and coordination support to complex projects and will be comfortable carrying out a number of tasks with competing deadlines at the same time.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to join us as our new Chief Executive.  You will play a critical role in leading the organisation and representing PATA and its members in the ever-evolving Early Education and Children’s Play sectors.

PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to the Early Years and Play (Out of School) sector in Gloucestershire.  We are a Charity based in Gloucester with around 170 member settings and manage five of our own Early Years settings (PATA Managed Groups (PMGs)).  Our mission is to support the development of high quality and accessible early education, play and provision for children, young people and their families.

At its heart, PATA is a people-based organisation and you will be joining a strong and committed team, both in the Head Office and the PMGs.  You will lead the organisation, working with the Board of Trustees in setting the strategic vision, mission and priorities.  You will be a voice for PATA and its members, building partnerships, participating in consultation processes, and challenging policy and other initiatives for the benefit of the sector, as and when appropriate.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week, 42 weeks annually, to be worked flexibly to meet business need, as agreed with the Chair of Trustees and in association with the Senior Management Team. There is flexibility for this to be a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days based from the Head Office in Gloucester.

Kinship carers are strong, capable and fiercely determined to ensure they get what they need to support their kinship family. And we want to support them to feel confident to do that.

Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We support, campaign and raise awareness of kinship care and the issues affecting kinship carers every day.

Kinship care begins in crisis. A child whose parents are unable to care for them, for whatever reason. It’s frightening, confusing and heart-breaking. Instinctively, a loved one steps in – a grandparent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or family friend. They are now a kinship carer, bringing up the children they love. It’s life changing and challenging raising children who’ve been hurt or neglected, but kinship carers do it anyway because they put the children first. 

Kinship have been awarded funding from the Department for Education to deliver the first ever national training programme to support kinship carers in their caring role. We are at the start of that journey.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site. 

In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing highly effective project management and administrative support to the training programme, including supplier communication, coordinating programme logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks, e.g. scheduling meetings, providing agendas, writing briefings, minute-taking, monitoring expenditure and organising events, training and workshops.
• Being the first point of contact for the team, for both internal and external purposes, communicating effectively with kinship carers, internal training team, external delivery partners and other stakeholders to coordinate and confirm all training activity.

Essential requirements include:

• Proven experience in event planning and management. You will need previous experience being responsible for organising large events (over 50 people). 
• Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems and processes that enable team effectiveness. You will need a minimum of 1 year’s administration experience.

We are seeking a well organised individual to support with the management and development of our foundations, grants and trusts work.

As we enter our seventh year as a charity and our work established within West Wales, we are now getting set to fulfil our mission that all children, wherever they reside in Wales, should be able to access the right support, at the right time.

Our new Foundations, grants and trusts officer will Work closely with the fundraising Officer and wider team and be able to guide and navigate their way through the various ways we need to engage with, apply to and subsequently report back to trusts and foundations; large and small.

The role is offered full or part-time and with the flexibility of office based in Pembrokeshire or working remotely from anywhere within Wales. The role will support our work across Wales and will have regular travel around the country and to meetings in our Pembrokeshire Centre.

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.  

Main responsibilities

• Provide a trauma informed and restorative practices involving the supported individual, devise, review and update developmental support plans, record events and observations and keep appropriate records as require in the service
•  Support and contribute to the resourcing of interventions for residents in crisis situations, and/or manage physical risk or behaviour likely to cause incidents, in accordance with the individuals personal developmental support plan, risk management plan or service protocol
• u  To induct residents into the accommodation, ensuring the terms of the licence agreement is understood and all health and safety issues fully explained
• u  In line with Housingn related policies, provide support in a way which equips individuals and with the confidence and skills to live more independent and sustainable lives, both in services and within the wider community.
• u  Develop and maintain professional working relationships and good communication links with supported individuals, families/carers, recovery communities, service partners, funders and other stakeholders
• Attend and contribute to individual’s Support Reviews with partnership agencies
• To be confident in lone-working and to adhere to the Lone-working policy
•  To have a full understanding of fire safety and evacuation procedures
• To be proactive responsible to safeguard adults, young people, and children at risk of harm in accordance with local and national guidelines and procedures. This includes showing a commitment to promote organisation-wide awareness and understanding of safeguarding, undertaking best practice, and carrying out our legal and moral duties to respond to related concerns, disclosures, or allegations appropriately
• Take responsibility for own personal development and learning and participate in on-going training as directed for the maintenance and development of relevant skills required within the job role, including attendance at team meetings and respective supervision meetings
• Communication with line manfgement as well as undertake other tasks which may from time to time be required by the Chief Executive and Senior Management
• To respend/attend to emergency situations that arise in other support YMCA East Surrey supported accomodations and have a full understanding of the on-call process
• To cover the front reception desk of an evening and take any incoming calls and communications
• Continuously contribute to service development and improvement.

DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:To undertake a wide variety of tasks including delivering high quality support and personal development opportunities to young people in our supported accommodation. To flexibly respond to individual needs and assist individuals to have the maximum opportunities to direct the support in order to live as independent as possible.

Providing structured support in response to identified needs as documented in each young person’s developmental support plan and in a way that equips them with the confidence and skills towards living independently and sustainable.

Hours of work:  30 paid hrs per week (3 hrs unpaid lunch break)

Friday:5pm – 4am, Saturday: 5pm – 4am, Sunday:5pm –4am

Location : YMCA East Surrey, Hillbrook House, 68 Brighton Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 6QT

Annual leave: Five weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays. Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of five weeks pro-rata after six years’ service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer and fundraiser to tell the stories of SAT-7 and the people of the MENA in fresh and powerful ways.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, creative environment as part of the Fundraising Team, delivering high quality proposals and reports. You’ll be one of the main points of contact with our international office, gathering and repurposing impactful proposals and reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Fundraising

• Preparing, maintaining and delivering an annual plan for all grant applications
• Writing compelling proposals and reports to grant-making trusts and organisations
• Identifying and developing relationships with selected key funders
• Researching new potential funders
• Liaising with our SAT-7 International Development Team to identify projects which require funding and source material for proposals and reports

Grant Funding Hub

• Supporting internal teams with appropriate funding proposals and connected reports
• Supporting development of cross-organisational impact reports as required

Statutory and Development Funding

• Monitor statutory funding opportunities and, working with your line manager, support the development of applications, proposals and reports.
