We’re growing our strategic people capability and are recruiting two People Business Partners on a two-year fixed-term contract.  One role will suit an experienced, all-round HR Business Partner. The second role will suit an all-round HR Business Partner who also brings proven Learning & Development expertise to help us drive a culture of continuous learning and develop high-performing leaders across the charity.

About the Roles

As part of our Business Partnering Team within the wider People Team, both roles will provide informed, consistent, and strategic support to allocated directorates—helping senior leaders build engaged, high-performing teams in a HR Business partnering capacity.

As a successful applicant, you’ll embed yourself in your directorates: acting as a trusted adviser to Heads of, facilitating problem-solving conversations, and ensuring managers are empowered for day-to-day people needs.

You’ll be the single point of contact for people matters in your directorate. You’ll use metrics to provide your directorate with insights to ensure conversations start with data and decision making is data informed and constructively challenged when required.  You’ll be supporting delivery of HR processes, managing complex cross-functional projects, driving positive change in the employee journey and supporting the charity to attract, hire, and retain top talent.

L&D-Focused Opportunity: If you bring solid Learning & Development experience, you’ll also play a key role in identifying skill gaps, shaping training plans, and supporting the development agenda across the charity—accelerating our learning culture.  

About You

You’re collaborative and resilient with the ability to operate strategically while staying hands-on. You have proven experience as a HR and/or L&D Business Partner (or similar role) and are confident building strong relationships with senior leaders and managers across multiple functions.

You stay calm under pressure, manage challenging situations constructively, and juggle competing priorities in a fast-moving environment—planning ahead yet adapting when things change.

You work autonomously, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions grounded in employment law and HR best practice. Proficiency with HR Information Systems is also essential.

You bring the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment—and you’re motivated by teamwork, transparency, and doing the right thing for our people.

You hold a CIPD level 5 (or have equivalent experience) with demonstratable HR business partnering success. Previous experience in L&D information systems (preferably Kallidus) will be beneficial, particularly for those wishing to apply for the Learning and Development focused role, though not essential.

You hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes. You are willing and able to travel regularly for in-person meetings and events—often to Downton (SP5 3RB) or London, with occasionally travel to other UK locations. Central London travel will be by train.

You are also comfortable staying away from home overnight on occasion, when required to support events or team activities.

With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. You'll build strong partnerships with local education authorities, schools, and teacher networks, and collaborate with national organisations to advance our education policy across the UK and Ireland. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills, experience and aptitude to work with the Trustees to refine and support delivery of The Pixel Fund’s overall vision and strategy, and to be the public face of the charity.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the charity, currently carried out by a part-time administrator, which position is to be discontinued following the CEO appointment.

The Pixel Fund (Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1191052) is a small charity that makes grants to support improvement in the mental health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.Since we were first established in 2011, we have distributed more than £1.5million to UK registered charities.We have a preference for supporting projects, but do also fund core costs.The work of the Trust, including all grant-making, is currently overseen by three experienced Trustees, together with a Voluntary Treasurer and a part-time Administrator.

We are currently looking for an Events Coordinator to support the Events Manager to plan and implement the Trust’s events portfolio programme. This is a rewarding role that comes at a time when there is significant change and progress for those living with cystic fibrosis.

Sitting within our Community and Events Fundraising team reporting to the Events Manager, and working with the other Events Coordinator, you will focus on delivery of high levels of exceptional supporter stewardship to supporters through the events portfolio. 
 
Key responsibilities include:

• To support the delivery of excellent events experiences for Team CF participants at high profile events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon. 
• To build effective relationships with supporters to promote and encourage participation to maximise fundraising whilst deepening supporter relationships to drive second actions and retention.

To be successful in this role, the requirements you will need to meet include (please see the attached job description and person specification for the full requirements):

• Have experience of organising or working within an event/or community fundraising environment. 
• Have excellent customer service and good communication skills.
• Be able to work effectively as a team player 

This role will require travel throughout the UK for challenge events. You will be able to take Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) for this and claim travel, hotel and subsistence allowances.
 
We will provide you with a laptop, mobile phone and any other essential equipment needed for your role.
 
The Community and Events Fundraising team all work from home and keep in touch with online team meetings, individual catch ups, as well as in person when required. 
 
This role offers a flexible location. Most of the team are home-based, but this role can be based at our London office (which would require the postholder to attend the office a minimum of two days per week).

What you’ll do

As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.

This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.

• Record, process and reconcile transactions for the company using platforms like Spendesk and Xero, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorised. 
• Manage our finance email inbox, responding to queries from schools, universities and employers. 
• Manage our accounts receivable processes, keeping track of overdue invoices, chasing partners for payment and recording received payments. 
• Support our sales teams with general finance related queries and keeping their partner records up to date on Salesforce (our CRM system).
• Improve, streamline and automate processes within the finance function. 
• Get involved with projects such as:
  • Setting up a simple way to keep track of the subscriptions we pay for, and make sure we’re getting good value from them.
  • Finding solutions to increase the number of invoices paid on time.
  • Creating useful reports and dashboards on Salesforce to aid decision making. 
• Support the Finance Lead to:
  • Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).
  • Manage our accounts payable processes, making and recording payments. 
  • Work on forecasting and variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Check through our quarterly VAT return.
  • Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
• Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:
  • Create the annual budget.
  • Support on ad-hoc projects and data analysis requests.

Who we’re looking for

You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.

• You’re organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail that helps keep things running smoothly and accurately.
• You enjoy solving problems and thinking critically about how things can be improved, streamlined or automated.
• You’re quick to learn new systems and tools, you might not have used platforms like Xero or Salesforce before, but you’re keen to get stuck in.
• You take ownership of your work, following through on tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
• You’re proactive and hands-on, excited to go beyond your core responsibilities to improve how we work and help make it a success.
• Being a proficient user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot table, x-lookup) is a bonus.
• Having an educational background in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential. 

Working together

We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. You’ll also be liaising with our external accountants who take lead with the financial accounting and payroll side of things.

Key details 

• £33,000 - £36,000 per year, depending on experience (Grade B).
• This position is advertised as Finance Executive, though internally it will be referred to as Finance Coordinator to better align with Unifrog job titles. 
• Work remotely, or flexibly in our London or Edinburgh office.
• 28 days paid holiday per year (plus bank holidays).
• Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 4:30pm on Friday.
