About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.
The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.
We can’t do this alone, we have to build and maintain brilliant partnerships across government, with other funders and with wider society. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead on this work. We also need to have an eye for the future. Our present endowment must be spent down by April 2029. We need someone who can lead on planning for the future.
Key responsibilities
You ensure that we:
· Are ready for the future: Born with a ten-year endowment, the YEF has become the leading authoritative voice on how to reduce violence affecting children. We must spend down this endowment by April 2029, so need to start thinking about after this date. You will lead on ensuring we have a great plan for post 2029. You will spot the best opportunities, assess them and, over time, take them. This includes both building great external relationships and also ensuring there’s a clearly articulated, inspiring narrative – filled with facts, examples and case studies - of what has been delivered to date and what needs to happen between 2029 and 2039 to double down on our mission. To do this, you will orchestrate the expertise and knowledge of colleagues across the organisation – ensuring that what you need comes together perfectly.
· Build and maintain great relationships across government: We have an increasingly large number of relationships across government – providing advice and support on what works to prevent violence. You will be ready to offer advice to colleagues on those relationships where needed. You will build new relationships and maintain them where they are needed so we are ready for the future. You will be really well organised too ensuring that internal colleagues know which relationships they own and making sure that key regular meetings are in place. We have a simple process that tracks these relationships; you will make this process work well for us – with minimum bureaucracy and maximum effectiveness. You will also provide help and advice and coaching as YEF colleagues think through how best to get system changes to happen that will ultimately reduce violence.
· Build great relationships with other organisations that will be key to the future: As the lead organisation on reducing violence affecting young people, we increasingly receive and see a host of opportunities to partner with other organisations including funders on projects, co-funding and research. You will support this work – leading on relationships that are essential in making us ready for the future. You will spot the opportunity, build relationships, bring in other YEF colleagues, pull together key information, write brilliant documents where needed, win others over. In short, you will make great things happen.

The idea of writing one or two pivotally important longer documents (30-40 pages) for the organisation that makes the case for something and pulls in content from lots of colleagues, synthesising and making it all fit together sounds interesting. Hybrid Working Details
The office is based in Central London. Those living in and around London are expected to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week. If you live outside of London and work remotely, you’ll be expected to work from the London office 2 days per month.

We are recruiting a Peer Involvement Worker to join the Involvement Team and become part of a vibrant and ambitious Lived Experience Workforce. It is essential that applicants have personal lived experience of mental and emotional distress, and personal experience of accessing secondary care mental health services, or experience of caring for, or supporting someone who has. Please note that experience of working in mental health related services alone will not meet this criterion.
The Peer Involvement Worker will work primarily within the coproduction and involvement workstream, supporting the Trust to develop meaningful and impactful coproduction and involvement opportunities for people with lived experience of Trust services, their carers, family, and friends.
Through joining the Lived Experience Network, people with lived experience of Trust services are offered the opportunity to use their lived experience within activities that support the development and improvement of services. We refer to ‘service users and carers’ as Lived Experience Members, and people with lived experience of Trust services.
Involvement & Coproduction opportunities include involvement in recruitment and selection; lived experience networks and forums; sharing lived experience in staff training; co-delivering training; inspections of services; developing information; lived experience involvement in project and focus groups, committees, and governance meetings; reviewing and developing policies, procedures, and ways of working; service design, redesign, and transformation.

2. Main duties of the role:

You will use this knowledge to support members to become involved in activities that align with their lived experience, and to assist the Involvement Administrative Coordinator in reviewing expressions of interests and selecting members for opportunities.
The Peer Involvement Worker role involves supporting members in their involvement through 1 to 1 check-ins, training, group sessions, and by offering support before, during and after involvement activities. You will play a role in supporting the development and delivery of the Lived Experience Member Training & Support Framework.
The post holder will contact and visit teams and people in services to recruit new members and to develop staff awareness of involvement and coproduction. You will offer support to staff to plan, advertise, and run involvement activities with the aim of developing meaningful and impactful involvement.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. We are the only UK-wide charity for everyone affected by a genetic and acquired bleeding disorder.
At the Haemophilia Society (THS) we want to empower everyone affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the full, whatever your stage in life.
One in 2,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, which are a group of conditions, including haemophilia and von Willebrand disorder, that result when the blood cannot clot properly.
As many as a third of bleeding disorder diagnoses have no known family history and can be the result of a random gene mutation. This means a bleeding disorder diagnosis can come completely out of the blue.
THS brings together people with bleeding disorders and their families to share experiences and understand more about how to live well with a bleeding disorder. Together, we can all make a difference.

About the role
We’re incredibly lucky to have a generous and dedicated community who are always looking for new ways to support our work. We are looking for a passionate fundraiser who can take ownership of our community fundraising and empower our members and supporters in their fundraising ventures. What the job involves
We’re looking for a Peer Support Senior Officer (Online Community) to join our team and help us provide high-quality support to men and their loved ones navigating prostate cancer.
The Peer Support team plays a vital role in connecting men and their loved ones to others with lived experience of prostate cancer. We do this through our One-to-One Peer Support service which matches anyone affected by prostate cancer to our trained volunteers with a similar experience and more recently our Online Community, a website-based discussion forum that provides a space for men and their loved ones to share their experiences and find support.
As a Peer Support Senior Officer (Online Community), you’ll focus on assisting the Peer Support Manager with the development and integration of our Online Community into our wider support services. Once up and running, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day management and moderation of the community. You’ll work closely with users to understand what they need from the platform, and you’ll be key in shaping it into a safe, welcoming and supportive space where people affected by prostate cancer can connect.
You’ll also develop policies and guidelines to ensure safe and respectful interactions, recruit and support volunteer moderators, and work with other teams to share helpful news, resources and health information on the forum. You’ll use analytics and user feedback to improve the platform and support its growth, while staying informed about best practice and emerging trends in online communities.
While the strong focus of this role will be the Online Community, you’ll also help deliver our One-to-One Peer Support service, triaging enquiries, matching service users with trained peer volunteers who’ve experienced prostate cancer and help with volunteer onboarding and coordination.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with experience managing an online community or similar digital support service. You’ll be comfortable providing information and support to people who may be facing difficult or emotional circumstances, and you’ll understand the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for users to connect and share.
You’ll bring a good understanding of digital engagement, knowing how to encourage community growth and participation, and you’ll be comfortable using data and insights to guide improvements. You’ll also have experience collecting and monitoring service data to help shape decisions and measure impact.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential. You’ll know how to engage sensitively with people who have lived experience, making sure their voices are reflected in how services are developed and delivered. You’ll also be able to work collaboratively across teams, building relationships with internal colleagues and external partners, and supporting cross-functional projects.
You’ll need to be organised and able to manage a varied workload. A flexible, responsive approach is key, and experience supporting or supervising volunteers would be a plus.
While you don’t need to be a clinical expert, a basic understanding of cancer care in the UK, and an awareness of how inequalities can affect access to health and support services, will help you approach the role with the insight and sensitivity it requires.

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our teams in Southwark as Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker). You'll be able to develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients.
Where you will work: Grange Road is a 29 bed - high complex needs support project situated in Southwark, commissioned by the City of London.
About the role
In the role of Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:
- Jointly running the project day to day with other members of the team.
- Working on reception to answer phones, oversee entry to the building, and provide basic advice and support to clients.
- Keeping communal areas and office space clean and tidy.
- Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
- Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.
Shift pattern: 3 week rolling rota, mix of early and late shifts. 1 weekend worked every 3 weeks (both Saturday and Sunday are 12.5hrs shifts).
