What will I be doing?

• Project managing and providing advice on research/evaluation of CRUK activities ensuring that the methods, analyses and communication of results are appropriate, high quality and have maximum impact

• Interpreting and communicating research/evaluation results effectively to internal and external stakeholders

• Developing a sound, rounded knowledge of topics relevant to reducing cancer incidence and improving cancer outcomes, as appropriate to their portfolio of responsibilities, through review of evidence, and close collaboration with colleagues within the team, department and the whole of CRUK

• Contributing to the critique and synthesis of research, data and insight through the preparation of evidence briefs and evidence-based content, distilling key points

• Preparing PowerPoint decks, one pagers, reports, and conference presentations/posters to a high standard, working with colleagues and/external researchers as appropriate to communicate insights and influence future work programmes

• Maintaining good working knowledge of behavioural research evidence relevant to specific projects (e.g. barriers to bowel cancer screening participation) through interrogation of the evidence base and via internal and external networks

What skills are you looking for?

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience working as a researcher or evaluation specialist, ideally in health

• Extensive experience carrying out quantitative and qualitative analysis (e.g. statistical significance testing, thematic analysis)

We are looking for a Head of Supporter Led Fundraising to join the senior fundraising leadership team at Scope.

This is a brand new role for Scope and will be responsible for developing and executing the vision and strategy for supporter-led fundraising, building and leading a new team to deliver income growth.

Your team will be engaging with all individuals who choose to fundraise on Scope’s behalf through community fundraising and challenge events.

At Citizens UK, our organisers and project staff work within communities to develop leaders, strengthen organisations, campaign for change and organise across difference. Main Responsibilities 

The principal responsibility of an Associate Organiser is their own development: learning the craft of Community Organising under the guidance of an experienced Community Organiser. An Associate Organiser is working towards becoming a competent practitioner of the craft of broad-based community organising methodology, and focuses on the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change.

This role is particularly to organise with Be Well Organisations in Greenwich and Bexley. Be Well Organisations may be faith, education, or community institutions, tackling isolation and poor mental health by: 1. Building relationships, 2. Signposting and offering practical support, and 3. Taking action on structural and systemic inequalities and injustices. But you may also work on other campaign priorities and responsibilities as needed across the team. 

We are looking for people who are angry about injustice, who believe ordinary people have the power to make change, and who are motivated to learn the craft of Broad-based Organising. The role is hugely varied, and involves working across the two boroughs, in different institutions and context, and with a lot of independence.

Working as an Associate Organiser in South London Citizens, your main responsibilities will include: 

Build relational power to further the goals of CUK 

• Actively participate in the development of a comprehensive power analysis appropriate to the desired sphere of influence for each project/assignment 

• Establish working relationships with identified leaders and demonstrate ability to move them into action, including as part of the wider alliance; taking the initiative to establish new relationships

• Conduct 15-20 weekly one-to-ones to develop relationships with leaders and understand their concerns.

Identify and develop relational leaders prepared to act with others for the common good

About the HR Assistant role:

Reporting directly to our HR advisor the post holder will work with and maintain a range of HR administration tasks including management of our Vibrance HR Information System, being the first line of contact for our system users.

About the Role

As a Caller Support Officer, you will:

• Provide expert advice and guidance on caller support policies and procedures to volunteers and staff.
• Work closely with branches, the Caller Support & Safeguarding Hub, and Central Office to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
• Help manage support for callers with complex mental health needs, ensuring appropriate boundaries and reducing dependency on the service.

• Has experience with working in a helpline setting, to support volunteers to deliver safe and effective emotional support to individuals in distress or with complex emotional/mental health needs, ideally in a helpline setting.

• Is confident managing sensitive and sometimes confrontational situations.
• Can work independently and manage a varied workload effectively.

• Is emotionally resilient and able to handle distressing information with professionalism and care.

The Role
