Your ability to manage projects, build strong working relationships, and bring a thoughtful, inclusive approach to storytelling will be key to your success in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and supportive team, helping to shape how Remembrance is experienced across the UK today.

You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

About the team

Cancer Grand Challenges is a global funding initiative founded in 2020 by the two largest funders of cancer research in the world: Cancer Research UK and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the US ().

Cancer Grand Challenges builds on the success of CRUK's Grand Challenge that launched in 2015 - to date we have committed in excess of c$400m to fund 16 interdisciplinary teams, and our portfolio now includes over 1200 researchers and collaborators across 16 countries. We recently launched our fifth call for applications to address seven new challenges, and we are thinking about what the next decade for the initiative will look like. So, this is an exciting time to join the team.

In this varied role, you'll support the delivery of conferences, such as our Future Leaders Conference held annually in Europe, specifically aimed at early careers researchers to aid with networking and careers advice. You'll also support larger events such as CGC Sumit, our annual flagship event. This huge four-day event is used to review each of the funded teams' progress towards solving their challenge The main summit consists of 2.5 days of programming with team presentations, keynote speakers and expert panel discussions.

As an Events Officer, you don't need to come from a science background and we are open in terms of the types of events you have organised previously. As long as you come with strong project management experience and are used to a busy and fast paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

When you work at Cancer Grand Challenges, you'll be employed by Cancer Research UK.

What will I be doing?

• Support the team in delivering a range of international events;

• Manage a scientific conference from development to delivery

• Maintain and update the annual calendar of Cancer Grand Challenges events;

• Manage the events inbox and reply to all queries in a timely and helpful manner;

• Lead on attendee management, including tracking RSVPs, booking accommodation and managing queries;

• Lead on the creation of materials for events planning, digital and printed content (non-scientific) and briefing and evaluations;

• Manage all team processes relating to procurement of venues and suppliers for events including financial processing.

We are working in partnership with the Church of England who are seeking an Independent Chair for their Racial Justice Panel.

The Racial Justice Panel (RJP) was established by the Archbishops’ Council in December 2024 following the successful conclusion of the work on the Archbishops' Commission for Racial Justice led by the Lord Boateng PC, CVO. The RJP is to provide independent assurance that the work of racial justice is being carried out effectively by the Church, in accordance with agreed plans and wider best practice.

The RJP Panel, albeit a critical friend, maintains its independence, offering rigorous scrutiny and challenge to the Church in its work on racial justice including examining progress against strategic and delivery plans. It shall produce an annual report to be laid before the General Synod. 

The RJP are looking to appoint an experienced independent Chair who will provide excellent leadership, direction and independent scrutiny and challenge to the Church of England and bring external expertise from holding a highly senior role. 

They are looking for an independent chair who:

• Is a gifted leader, who will support the Church of England in further strengthening its safeguarding arrangements and partnerships.
• Is passionate about working collaboratively at all levels, with a proven track record in improvement work at a national level.
• Knows how to hold organisations to account and possesses the skills to support the development of senior leaders.
• Understands through senior level personal experience, the core aspects of racial justice at a national level and in the field of statutory and/or voluntary sector.
• Is empathetic, strategic, emotional and has analytical skills, and able to act as a ‘critical friend’ in supporting and challenging people and institutions to help improve their racial justice focus, practice and arrangements.
• Has a relevant academic or professional qualification.
• Has an understanding of the structure of the Church of England and an appreciation for the role that faith plays in the context of racial justice.

The successful candidate will be a senior leader, with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace.  The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.

THE ROLE

The full-time Creative Communications and Events Officer works within the Communications team to help inform the public about antisemitism using a variety of media.

You will be joining our small, fast-paced, entrepreneurial staff team based at our office in central London.

The role brings a diverse set of responsibilities and an opportunity to work within a charitable organisation with a strong sense of purpose.

Responsibilities

• You will design graphics across our organisation, from social media posts and placards to pamphlets to pledge cards
• Work with creative colleagues to conceive and implement a variety communications campaigns to raise awareness about antisemitism and educate the public, sometimes at short notice and with tight deadlines
• Provide logistical support for communications projects, including scouting and booking locations, ordering materials, liaising with third parties and conducting internal research
• Plan, script, shoot and edit videos on various topics for different audiences on our numerous social media channels
• Growing our social media presence, including paid campaigns, to maximise reach and engagement
• Play a significant role in podcast production, from researching and booking guests to audio and visual editing
• Strategically planning and executing key events for the organisation throughout the year, ensuring maximum impact
• Design merchandise for our website and oversee the logistical aspect of sales

We are recruiting a high energy and hands on Garden Manager to work closely with the Senior Leadership team at Sufra to support the development and expansion of the community garden, and manage the team of garden staff and volunteers. More about the role:

The Database and Gifts Officer role is integral to the Development and Alumnae Relations (DAR) department, supporting the school’s fundraising and engagement efforts. The postholder will manage and maintain the alumni and donor database, ensuring the accurate entry of gifts and pledges, and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure financial data is up to date and reconciled. Additionally, the post holder will create targeted mailing lists, conduct due diligence on prospective donors, and support the identification of lost alumnae. The role also involves ensuring compliance with data protection laws and contributing to DAR events, which may occasionally occur outside regular hours​.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience of working on a database, extracting, interrogating and reporting on data.
• Knowledge and experience of Raiser’s Edge, Toucan Tech or a similar fundraising database.
• Demonstrated track record of processing gifts and donations
• Proven track record of database administration, import/export, configuration and problem resolution.
