Age International are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Programme Development and Funding Manager.
Working within our Programme Development and Funding Team, this role offers variety, and a chance to make a meaningful contribution to our work with, and for older people around the world.
The post-holder will work closely with partners globally, across the programme funding cycle, from the design and development of projects to contract management and reporting. They will also support Age International to build relations and secure funding from a wide range of institutional donors, and to manage one of our key donor portfolios. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of working with and securing funds from large UK and European trusts and foundations.
This role focuses on helping secure funds for projects which align with our core thematic priorities: healthy ageing, secure incomes, combatting ageism, and inclusive humanitarian action. This is not just about securing funding however, and the post-holder will also be a focal point for one of Age International's strategic areas of focus, helping to share and promote thematic learning across the organisation, and with our partners.
We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of three days per month. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the Events and Community Fundraising Team. You will work closely with a team of field-based colleagues providing support, ensuring the growth of income and development of long-term relationships with supporters.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the Community Fundraising team, with administration as well promoting fundraising products and campaigns, providing an inspiring supporter journey to our fundraisers, and handling and reporting on data.
You will have the opportunity to learn community fundraising skills, multi-channel marketing and supporter journey techniques as well as developing strong admin processes which support the growth of income across the team.
In this role, you will need to be self-motivated and adaptable to the needs of a fast-moving team and workload. Autonomy and creativity will be vital. As the face of the charity, building strong relationships with colleagues and supporters will be essential, as you collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for providing a fulfilling and memorable experience to valued supporters. Travel within the region will be required to meet with our supporters, the wider team and assist at events throughout the year (this may include some evenings and weekends).
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Fundraising Support
· Check current platforms to collate daily registrations and assign to appropriate region
· Manage Facebook donation report through GivePanel
· Monitor Community Fundraising email inbox, contact supporters and fulfil fundraising pack requests
· Assist with the regional running portfolio and steward runners
· Answer and respond to enquiries on the fundraising hotline
· Assist the community fundraising team with admin, marketing, and stewardship
· Manage our offline fundraising materials through our fulfilment partner, ordering replacement materials when needed
· Contribute content for regional social media
· Ensure all fundraising activities operate within best practice, regulatory guidelines and comply with health and safety requirements
· Act as a champion for fundraising compliance across the organisation, including ensuring adherence to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, the General Data Protection Act and other relevant legislative requirements.

Experience-wise, we're looking for someone familiar with analytics tools like Tableau, Faststats, or similar. About the Role
As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering an ambitious individual giving programme that brings in over £1.5 million annually. You will lead a supporter-centric strategy focused on acquisition, retention, and growth, harnessing digital tools, automation, and compelling storytelling to create engaging donor journeys. 1. The Role
The Head of Audiences is a new leadership role in the Commercial Operations team designed to ensure that audience insight and segmentation are at the heart of everything we do. This role will lead on understanding who our current and prospective audiences are, how they engage with us and what they need now and in the future. You will use this insight to guide programming, marketing, visitor experience at Winchester Science Centre but as we evolve our Charity’s reach and engagement you will play an important role in ensuring we fulfil our ambitious plans and reaching a diverse community. By building an inclusive and evidence-based audience strategy, this role will enable Winchester Science Centre to grow reach and engagement, deepen impact and fulfil its charitable mission to inspire a lifetime of curiosity in science.
The role is part of the Commercial Operations team led by the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Head of Programming and Head of Visitor Experience. However, you will work with the wider leadership and their teams to ensure that both the community programme and on-site experience are insight-led, responsive to audience needs, and relevant to a wide range of segments. Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for the Challenge Events Manager in order to lead and grow DIY and open challenge events portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to shape a key fundraising programme that engages thousands of supporters annually. You’ll lead a small but mighty team to deliver exceptional supporter experiences, innovate new campaign approaches, and maximise fundraising income.
As a Challenge Events Manager you will:
- Developing and delivering the strategy for DIY and open challenge events
- Leading a high performing team to plan and execute effective multi-channel marketing and stewardship campaigns
- Managing budgets, forecasting income, and tracking performance
- Using insights and sector trends to identify new opportunities for growth
- Collaborating across departments to create best in class supporter experiences
- Overseeing relationships with external agencies and suppliers
- Championing compliance with fundraising and data protection regulations
To be successful, you must have experience:
- Proven experience delivering successful DIY and open challenge fundraising campaigns
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Expertise in digital marketing, supporter journeys, and stewardship best practice
- A data driven mindset, with a keen eye for insight and continuous improvement
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team
- A passion for challenge events and the difference they can make
Salary: £40,000- £44,000
Location: London , hybrid working, 2 days in the office
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
