This Service Designer role primary focus will be partnering with the Service Transformation team to redesign and scale key support services – such as clinical trials support, direct referrals, health professional education programmes and outreach to underserved communities.

You’ll apply Service Design tools and methods to live projects, helping teams understand user needs, map journeys, prototype ideas and test improvements in practice. While your day-to-day work will sit within service transformation projects, you’ll also act as a connector to the wider digital team – bringing in the UX Designer, Content Designer and Innovation Lead as needed to ensure the right expertise is embedded at the right stage.

Expected travel to London as required, on average 2-4 times a month but may vary and will sometimes be multiple days consecutively, in sprints.

Lead the strategic development and delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of impactful online, hybrid and in-person events that support NCVO’s membership strategy and organisational objectives. You will manage the events team, overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of diverse events including major conferences, webinars and workshops. This role contributes to NCVO’s brand recognition, and fosters connection, learning and collaboration for its 17,000 members, and wider sector audience. You will develop and manage event budgets and continuously improve the programme based on evaluation and data.

The Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Service Manager provides leadership for the outsourced service desk, IT supply and Site Service Engineering functions of the DDaT team and is the point of escalation for all Barnardo's colleagues accessing services, incident management and request fulfilment.

The DDaT Service Manager is responsible for the delivery of exceptional Site Service Engineering at over 1000 sites and responsible for the delivery of IT Supply services to over 7000 colleagues across the UK. The Service Manager also owns and operates the outsourced Service Desk via the current partner relationship, working in collaboration with internal technical teams. The Service Manager will report to the Director of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) and is a member of the DDaT Leadership Team.

Continuous improvement of services, ownership of the service catalogue entries, effective self-help documentation and assets, are core activities of the role, alongside ensuring the delivery of excellent business as usual services, and ownership of key transformation initiatives. Fiscal management of delegated budgets, accurate forecasting are key success factors of the role.

The post holder will be responsible for engagement with all stakeholders, aligning working practices with the DDaT Operating Model, identifying improvement opportunities and all other similar practices to grow the function.

What the job involves 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.

About this job

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Social and Paid Media Manager to shape the strategic direction of our social media channels with an audience of over 190,000 followers and our paid media activities.

• You’ll look after our dynamic and busy – and very lovely! - social media team, provide strategic leadership, guidance and advice. 
• You’ll help deliver an ambitious programme of digital campaigns and appeals, oversee strategies for organic and paid media and ensure our activities and campaigns achieve against objectives and KPIs.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the digital and content team, you’ll commission or create engaging content and ensure best practice and our accessibility standards are followed.
• Acting as a champion for our brand, you’ll also oversee moderation across our channels and lead on crisis and reputation management, ensuring all appropriate escalation processes are followed.

In this dynamic and fast paced role you will help achieve our Service Desk’s ultimate mission of delivering a high standard of support and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do 

• Leading and mentoring a high-performing Service Desk team
• Managing day-to-day operations and acting as the go-to escalation point
• Driving service improvements using KPIs, feedback, and best practices
• Supporting AV and video conferencing across the College
• Playing a key role in exam delivery and IT project support
• Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance user experience and IT service quality

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience managing an IT Service Desk
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and ITSM platforms
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• A customer-first mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
• A proactive, self-starting attitude and a love for learning.
