Job Summary

To contribute to our Income Team's purpose by implementing the Philanthropic income strategy, and working to secure new six figure trusts and foundations through high quality applications and reporting.

Main Responsibilities 

• To manage the Philanthropy Officer role, and plan a rolling programme of prospect research for new major donors and trusts and foundations at all levels of funding across the year.
• Developing high quality applications and proposals for potential donors and funders, utilising your strong writing skills.
• Working with the Data Insight Team and Clinical Team to utilise Shout insight and clinical research to develop a strong narrative for MHI services

Main Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues to design and implement systems for the LEF to collect data and to capture and share learning in a systematic way that reflects our values and our commitment to Power, Cuture and Inclusion.

Job Summary

To drive development of CEM’s fundraising strategy and oversee its implementation. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Identifying the most fruitful new avenues of funding from a range of Christian cultures, including individual donors, trusts and grant-making bodies
• Identifying new fundraising methods, including digital campaigns and social media outreach, to broaden and diversify our donor base
• Strengthen connections with new networks to tap into underutilised funding streams.

Purpose
This vital role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy to help build and grow our philanthropic partnerships over the next five years and beyond. As well as building upon current relationships, you will identify, research and cultivate relationships with charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as major donors to raise both restricted and unrestricted income.

Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will focus primarily on Trust Fundraising but will also encompass Major Donor Fundraising. It will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well to develop existing relationships with our generous supporters. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, other team members and external consultants, and in collaboration with our colleagues in the
Programmes Team, the Senior Philanthropy Officer will focus on building our trust portfolio – with a focus on donors giving £5k - £100k per year

1. New business acquisition:
a) Researching new individuals and trusts to build a prospect list for future funders, using our database (Salesforce), available lists and external databases. Assessing the potential for active, lapsed and prospective donors to support CBM and recording accordingly.
b) Recommending tactical next steps for engagement with new individuals and trusts, for approval by the Head of Philanthropy.
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored stewardship plans, so that individuals / trusts are engaged in a bespoke manner, and that application and reporting deadlines are met.
b) Leading on the production and submission of applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post, email and, to a lesser degree, phone) and following up as required.
c) Reporting to donors in a formal or informal way, as appropriate, to ensure they are kept up to date with CBM and project developments                                                                                                                                                               d)Organising, facilitating and attending face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors/ trusts, including organising dates and venues, and creating Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes.

3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Designing and crafting compelling proposals, reports, project timelines and budgets that meet the bespoke needs of donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues, within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of proposals /reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team to develop new projects/ themes/
appeals for potential projects.

4. Other Team Responsibilities:
a) Helping to develop the Annual Forecast Budget for the Team, and providing updates on the pipeline and progress against targets.
b) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our database to fully-inform any approaches / meetings.

ADSS (Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Services) believes in enabling those who live with dementia to live well. ADSS is Kent’s biggest independent charity dedicated to providing support to people affected by dementia. Following a significant expansion in 2022, the team is now supporting more people than ever before. Summary of the role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the role will support the implementation of our 2030 Fundraising Strategy in collaboration with colleagues in Fundraising, Communications and Delivery Teams. The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining and growing Individual Giving, through key digital platforms. They will support the Head of Fundraising in researching and implementing new platforms as ADSS develops its fundraising capacity and capability.

The successful candidate will bring creativity, innovation, and great donor stewardship and retention skills to ensure that the Charity achieves its ambitious fundraising goals.

Main purpose of job

The individual Giving Fundraiser will be responsible for the delivery of ADSS fundraising from individual donors, primarily through digital platforms.

The post holder will handle stewardship contact with all individual donors and fundraisers with warmth and appropriate enthusiasm and sensitivity. Our supporters participate in a variety of events and have a range of motivations for giving to the Charity including families who are raising funds in memory of a loved one.

Work with the Corporate and Community Fundraisers to:

Donor Database Management:

Disability Action in Islington (DAII) is a local, user-led Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO) supporting disabled residents to live independently, access their rights, and thrive. Our advice and advocacy services are free, trauma-informed, and rooted in the social model of disability.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Information & Advice Services Coordinator to lead the delivery of our community advice service. This role is ideal for someone who brings both frontline advice experience and the confidence to support a small team working with people facing multiple barriers.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver rights-based support across welfare benefits, housing, health and social care — and help us prepare for Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accreditation.

About the Role

As Information & Advice Services Coordinator, you will:

• Co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of DAII’s advice and information service
• Provide direct support to clients with complex or ongoing needs
• Support colleagues and volunteers in dealing with multi-issue casework
• Ensure records are kept accurately and support monitoring and reporting
• Build partnerships with statutory and voluntary services to provide joined-up support
• Lead on quality assurance work as we prepare for AQS accreditation
• Contribute to a positive team culture rooted in reflection, care, and inclusion

Who We’re Looking

For This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, empathetic, and committed to justice and inclusion. You’ll need to balance coordination with frontline delivery, while supporting others to grow.

Essential:

• At least 18 months’ experience in advice, advocacy or support work
• Knowledge of key issues affecting disabled people, including welfare rights, housing, and social care
• Excellent digital and administrative skills, including using case management systems
• Experience working with people with complex needs and navigating multi-agency support
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to the values of equality, inclusion, and the social model of disability

Desirable:

• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 in Advice and Guidance) or lived experience
• Experience supporting or coordinating a small team or service
• Familiarity with AdvicePro or similar systems 
• Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches

The role is a two day a week commitment. (16 hours) £150 per day.  We are flexible on working from home but would prefer that at least one of the two days is at the office with the other two staff members, our Office Administrator and CEO.

It involves –

Monitoring and recording all income for the charity

Sourcing funding, at present primarily from Trusts and Foundation or individuals

Collaborating with the office team on other fundraising initiatives and events

Support the delivery of digital fundraising activities

Being a small team, other tasks may come up from time to time

Exploring and obtaining fundraising from Corporate entities.

It requires –

A good knowledge of a CRM database, preferably Advantage nfp

Good writing and communication skills

Someone with attention to detail

Someone who can work flexibly in a team.

Position Overview: The Funder & Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between funders and the charities we support. This position is responsible for enhancing funding awareness, establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships, and providing comprehensive support to our network of organisations. As this is a new position at AWN, we encourage applications from individuals who are confident in navigating new ground and keen to help define the role’s impact.

Key Responsibilities: 

Fundraising Support: 

• Provide personalised consultations to charities/NFPs we work with to develop and refine their grants and trusts strategies. 

• Assist charities in identifying funding opportunities and preparing compelling grant applications. 

• Organise and conduct workshops and training sessions on fundraising best practices, funder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and grant writing. 

Relationship Building: 

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of grant funders 

• Facilitate strategic partnerships between member charities, infrastructure groups, and funders. 

• Represent AWN at relevant networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote the interests of our member organisations.

Resource Development: 

• Create and disseminate practical resources, toolkits, and guides to support charities. 

• Develop materials that highlight successful case studies and best practices within the sector. 

Monitoring and Evaluation: 

• Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and support provided. 

• Collect and analyse data to track progress and make informed recommendations for improvement. 

Communication and Reporting: 

• Prepare regular reports on activities, outcomes, and impacts for internal and external stakeholders. 

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with a network of service users/charities to ensure their needs are met and feedback is integrated. 

Any other duties reasonably expected within the scope of the role

Qualifications and Experience: 

• At least 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, grant management or not-for-profit management. 

• Proven track record or strong knowledge of successful grant writing and fundraising initiatives. 

• Strong understanding of the funding landscape and the unique challenges faced by charities serving Muslim communities. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. 

• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training and capacity-building programs. 

• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote work and virtual collaboration. 

• Commitment to AWN’s mission and values, with a proactive and results-oriented approach. 

• Excellent written skills. 

• Comfortable in public speaking. 

• Proactive in creating and developing this role. Can confidently work independently. 

• Ideally the person should live in or the surrounding areas of London. We currently don't have an office space but we are forming a London team.

This is an ongoing, part-time contract supporting the financial operations of a small, ambitious arts organisation working at the intersection of art, technology and digital culture.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of charity finance, skilled in Xero, bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, audit preparation, HMRC filings and support with funding reports. You may be an individual already set up for freelance work, or a firm used to providing finance support to charities or arts organisations. You’ll work closely with the Chief Executive and liaise with trustees and external auditors as needed.

We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. To achieve this the organisation partners visually impaired individuals with sighted guides for residential weekends focusing on: long walks, canoeing, climbing, tandem biking, and more. The team comprises five part-time workers, numerous volunteers, and the board of trustees. We all work remotely, use each others first names, and have flexible scheduling.

The role of a fundraiser is paramount to our continued sustainability. You will be solely responsible for our fundraising initiatives. The charity has a commendable track record of raising funds, and you will be expected to surpass these targets as a professional fundraiser. An engagement officer will support your role by gathering feedback and preparing draft funder impact reports.

You will have extensive demonstrable fundraising experience. You will be personable, be an excellent communicator , make appropriate use of information communication technology, and capable of managing your own time and workload.
