We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical. This is a particularly exciting time to join the team, as we seek to maximise our impact ahead of the next general election and develop our strategy for the next few years.

Scope of the role:
The Digital Content & Communications Officer is responsible for creating content across FEI’s communications channels, inspiring individuals organisations alike to get involved in the face equality movement.
This is an exciting new role within the organisation and the ideal candidate will be creative, passionate about communications, content and digital and looking to build their expertise in a growing organisation with a global footprint. About the role
This is an exciting time to join Young Lives vs Cancer as we set up a new Brand Marketing and Communications function including a team of digital experts.
We are looking to recruit two Digital Marketing Officers to join the newly created Digital Engagement team working to deliver exceptional digital activity that delivers against organisational objectives. One successful candidate will lead on supporting social channels and the other on email marketing, however both roles will be expected to work across all digital channels and cover for each other as necessary.
You will work on digital campaigns across email, organic social and paid digital marketing channels, including PPC and social media. This role will be vital in setting up a new digital hub of expertise within the organisation and helping to drive forward the best use of digital channels.
Key responsibilities include:
• Work with stakeholder teams to develop digital marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels delivering against KPI’s for income, campaigning and brand awareness.

About this role
The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.
It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. This is a key role working with teams from across Teenage Cancer Trust to shape our digital content strategy. Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.
In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.
Digital Marketing
- Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
- Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.
- Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.
- Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms
- Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
- Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
- Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.
Design & Brand
- Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.

Graphic Design

Recruitment
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
- Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
- Managing an associated programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
- Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
- To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
- Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.
Social Media
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy

Main Areas of Responsibility
In the first instance, this will be achieved through joint project management and rollout of a new Federation wide SharePoint eco system. This is an exciting time to deliver a new ecosystem that will lay the foundation for future enhancement and uses of technology across all aspects of the Federation (Educational and Corporate).
You will then begin to identify the best uses of digital technology to promote learning, by engaging with latest research and by working across our academies in consultation with teachers and Principals. Through your leadership and networking within the Federation you will ensure the best approaches to improving educational outcomes are strategised, implemented, evaluated and are widely disseminated. Your work will involve the development of a Federation-wide Digital Learning strategy, building coalitions to implement and test this and then to disseminate the work.
