Marketing Manager

Cotswold Friends is a local charity based in Moreton-in-Marsh, which for over 45 years has been providing Community Transport, Befriending, Carer Wellbeing and Community Activities to older and vulnerable people in the Cotswolds. We aim to combat loneliness and isolation. Our voluntary services improve health and wellbeing and support independent living. We currently support over 2,300 people with 340 amazing volunteers.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop the Marketing function for an established and well-respected local charity. As the Marketing Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and be supported by a Marketing Co-ordinator working 12 hours per week and a team of Marketing volunteers. Your role will involve:
• Development and implementation of Marketing strategy and plans, informed by research and data analysis, to support the charity in the achievement of short and long-term objectives
• Development and implementation of campaign strategy and plans for volunteer recruitment, charity and service awareness and fundraising.
• Working to tell our stories – in this role you will spend time out and about across the Cotswolds, following our services in action and developing case studies that demonstrate the positive impact of our work
Specifically, you will manage:
· Brand development and awareness
· Cotswold Friends website content
· Social media campaigns and channels
· Regular newsletter production
· Development and distribution of press releases to key target press
· Design and production of print materials
· Charity mailings
· Print distribution to ensure effective area coverage
· Production of marketing and communication materials for events
· Production of film and photography
· Events management
· Delegation and management of Marketing support work to a team of Marketing volunteers
· Stakeholder communications
· Ongoing development of in-house materials to support volunteers and clients
· GDPR requirements as the Charity’s Data Protection Officer (training given)
The successful candidate will:
· Hold a Marketing qualification and 2 years of management experience in a Marketing role
· Have the enthusiasm and drive to grow Charity awareness using new ideas and initiatives
· Provide evidence of development and implementation of strategic Marketing plans
· Be proficient in the management of digital marketing/social media/email campaigns
· Have excellent creative writing skills to develop marketing content
· Have Press/PR and events management experience
· Have experience of in-house design packages such as Canva
· Be proficient with website management and Content Management Systems
· Understand GDPR requirements and the importance of data protection

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces.
As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally. They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).
For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
- Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
- Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including environmental protection, climate change, nature recovery, wildlife protection, flood risk management, and health and safety.
About You
We are looking for a high-energy and innovative leader with a strong background in nature conservation, open space management, and team leadership.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex public open spaces.
- Comprehensive experience developing and delivering biodiversity and land management programmes and projects in a range of habitats, ideally within an urban setting.
- Significant experience managing complex conservation work and projects across varied landscapes
- Significant knowledge of biodiversity and wildlife management, including land and water management.
- Strong experience managing a diverse team of professionals in an operational environment.
- Experience of implementing legislation and policy relevant to biodiversity conservation, planning guidance, and site designation for wildlife conservation and species status designations.
- A highly creative, entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ approach to problem solving, with the ability to remain resilient in the face of challenges.
- Strong quantitative skills and comfort interrogating and analysing data and budgets.

About the Role
As Media Lead you will be responsible for running the charity's busy press office and you will play a central role in shaping how Victim Support is seen and heard in the media. You'll write and deliver a strategic Media Plan that positions the charity as a trusted and recognised victims' voice, increases the profile of our services and contributes to influencing positive change.
This is a hands-on role where you'll manage media enquiries, build trusted relationships with journalists and ensure our spokespeople are briefed and supported for interviews. You'll work closely with colleagues across external affairs, social media and frontline services, and provide expert media advice to senior leaders. You'll also line manage our Stories Officer and oversee our Stories Library, giving a platform to victims' voices and experiences.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and possess personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based, working 4 days per week. Over the past 18 months, our team has been building a movement of support for young people across Wales, having a significant impact on their life chances and working towards the aim of inspiring every young person in the country.

About the role
As North Wales Project Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in:
- Connecting volunteers with schools and colleges, ensuring young people benefit from inspiring talks and workshops.

About the role:
Battersea is entering an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on the first year of our new five-year strategy. With increased investment in income generation starting in 2025, we are expanding our team to drive the growth necessary to achieve our organisational goals. Our fundraising team bridges the journey of the animals in our care with the wider public, demonstrating how their contributions enable us to support every dog and cat. We now have several new roles within this team to further our mission.
Main purpose of the role:
This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.
One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. This fundraising campaign will help to achieve that aim.
You will work with teams across Battersea to develop a comprehensive plan for the campaign and co-ordinate the work of multiple specialist teams to deliver the campaign on a day-to-day basis. You will also be responsible for developing a clear governance structure for the campaign, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. You will also oversee and track progress of a series of internal process improvements that support the running of the campaign.
Please note, this is not a direct fundraising position, but will support our fundraising teams in delivering ambitious financial targets for the appeal.

Stonyhurst College, the UK’s leading Catholic co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 3-18, is seeking a high value fundraising expert to design and deliver a high-performing philanthropic programme to ensure long-term sustainability.
Stonyhurst is the oldest continuously existing Jesuit school in the world – founded in 1593 in France, the College moved to its present site in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley near the market town of Clitheroe in 1794. As well as encouraging pupils to achieve their academic potential, the school works to develop well-rounded, competent future adults who can help change the world for others.
Working across the site and the wider community, the Director of Fundraising will lead on the development and delivery of a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with the College’s long-term vision and priorities, to help secure transformational giving for Stonyhurst. The role will be responsible for increasing income growth across capital, bursary, endowment and unrestricted giving, with a strong focus on major gifts and sustainable donor relationships, as well as personally managing a portfolio of high-value donors and prospects, and cultivating and stewarding six, seven and eight-figure gifts.
The role will involve some travel nationally and internationally to engage supporters and prospects, and the post-holder will be expected to act as ambassador for Stonyhurst, championing their mission and values.
