Working closely with the Trusts Officer and Trusts Lead, you will secure vital funding from Trusts and Foundations to support the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK and internationally.

As the Trusts Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of five-figure Trust donors and take ownership of relationships to secure funding from both existing and new supporters. You will also support the Trusts Officer to deliver bi-annual Small Trusts Mailings and the Trusts Lead to deliver significant partnerships.

About this role

The Communications and Media Officer, part of SPANA’s Communications and Campaigns team, creates high-quality content and drives impactful communications to support the charity’s mission and raise the profile of working animals in the global news agenda.

The role involves producing engaging written, digital and visual content across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency with SPANA’s brand and messaging. It also includes managing and cataloguing content assets to support the organisation’s ongoing communications needs. Contract, location and salary

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Communications and stakeholder engagement

ABOUT THE ROLE

Variety is looking for a PR and Communications Manager to join our growing team and take responsibility for our communications strategy to support fundraising, programmes and brand activities. It is an exciting time to join the charity as we have laid the groundwork over the last year to improve our marketing and communication channels and have ambitious plans to double our charity size, to fund life-changing practical support for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

We have a new Director of Fundraising and Communications in place who you will work closely alongside, and your work will be across three areas: content creation including the website, PR and social media. Key to success is putting children’s stories at the heart of our communication and you will need to work independently, guiding the Social Media Officer and freelancers, playing a key role in our collaborative and high-performing team.

The Athlete Learning and Development Manager will design and coordinate a comprehensive learning and development programme for emerging athletes, their parents and caregivers, and alumni. This will be delivered both in person and online. 

This is an exciting time for SportsAid as we expand the support we offer beyond financial assistance, building on the foundations already in place. We're working with a long-standing UK youth charity that’s looking for an experienced Media and PR Manager to lead its external communications.
 
This is a role with real scope—ideal for someone who thrives on creating positive media engagement, leading digital campaigns, and ensuring consistent messaging across platforms. They have a new strategy to grow their volunteers and therefore this will be a key part of this role over the next few months. As Media and PR Manager, you’ll report to the Head of Communications and play a key role in shaping the charity’s reputation. You’ll also help bring campaigns to life by aligning press activity with digital outreach—ensuring visibility and consistency across all channels.
 Key responsibilities:

• Building strong relationships with national and regional journalists
• Delivering proactive and reactive media strategies
• Managing the charity’s websites, intranet, and social media platforms
• Overseeing digital content, paid campaigns, and web improvements
• Producing and coordinating on-brand marketing materials
• Supporting internal teams on sensitive communications and crisis management

 
The appointed candidate will be:

• Confident handling press enquiries and media campaigns
• Skilled at writing, editing and tailoring content for different audiences
• Familiar with managing web and social platforms (e.g. CMS, Meta, X)
• Comfortable supporting or advising senior stakeholders when needed
• Organised, creative, and able to manage competing deadlines

 
This role suits someone with solid experience in a media, PR or digital communications role—ideally in a mission-driven or youth-focused setting.
