This important role supports the operational delivery of the charity’s busy events programme and supports the team and running the office.

The events programme is diverse - from drinks receptions and report launches to events at agricultural shows across the UK - and support on administration for the wider charity, including some communications activity. Through these events, we drive awareness of our work supporting family farms and rural communities. In doing so we also garner support from funders to tackle the issues facing the countryside, ensuring our work reaches a diverse audience to raise awareness.

Under the direction of the Head of External Affairs, and with support of the wider staff team, you will be responsible for coordinating and running all the charity’s events, including full administrative support, booking venues, the invitation process and guest lists, organisation of collateral (including marketing and promotional information), catering arrangements and researching and inviting speakers. You will be also ensuring effective follow-up to each event such as wider dissemination of event content, evaluation, and reporting.

Working on events will account for approximately 75% of the role. The remaining time will be spent working across the charity undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. This will include supporting the team with mailings, coordination of specific activities and some general office management. Whilst reporting to the Head of External Affairs, this role will work closely with several team members, particularly the Executive Support & Governance Manager, providing a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of different aspects of the charity’s work.

What we are looking for

This is an important role, and we’d like you to have a sound working knowledge of end-to-end event management and office experience within a charity or other professional environment.  To be successful you will be required to demonstrate a confident attitude supported by good written and verbal communication skills.  You must be comfortable using Microsoft office suite, events management platforms and our CRM system (currently Salesforce). You will be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload.  An ability to engage with a wide range of people is also advantageous. Most of all is the desire to provide first class customer service.

This position requires you to be a reliable individual with a detailed, methodical and organised approach who can work independently as well as part of a team. You will enjoy detail and managing data, all this supported by an interest in our work and the desire to develop a successful programme of events. You must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Support Manager to join our innovative Young People, Volunteer and Business Support Directorate. You will manage the Volunteer Support Team and develop and maintain efficient volunteering systems used by our volunteers. This is a key role focussed on supporting the charity’s volunteering strategy and championing best practice in volunteering.

This is an exciting time to join the Sea Cadets with the opportunity to make a real difference to the way volunteers are supported and recognised. The Volunteer Support Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient administration of the volunteer processes via Microsoft Forms and Power Automate, as well as reviewing existing and implementing new systems to make them as effective and as volunteer friendly as possible.

Responsibilities

• To maintain, review and update volunteering systems, processes and approaches ensuring that they are efficient, up-to-date and as volunteer friendly as possible
• To line manage and support the Volunteer Support Team based at the MSSC Support Centre to ensure the delivery of effective and timely support to the volunteers
• To functionally manage and support the Area Volunteer Support Team based across the 6 Area Offices to deliver effective and consistent support to the volunteers
• To work with the Head of Volunteering to review MSSC volunteering policies, monitoring their appropriateness and effectiveness, making recommendations for changes as necessary
• To work with Volunteer Support Officers to develop systems and processes for managing the volunteer support workload and monitoring delivery standards
• To develop guidance and associated resources for the support of volunteers
• To manage the Volunteer Support elements of the Training and Admin website ensuring that the information is relevant, accurate and up to date

Requirements

• Experience of managing and motivating a large team
• Experience of managing, reviewing and refining complex administrative processes

Help launch and run a nationally significant trial that could shape the future of kinship support. This role turns complex plans into reality and makes high-quality delivery happen.

Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This is aligned with recommendations set out in the Kinship Care Practice Guide published by Foundations (2024) and builds on evidence from the Kinship Navigator intervention of support for kinship carers in the USA. 

This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving: 

• An active funding partner 
• An independent evaluation team 
• 5 participating local authorities (to be confirmed) 
• Internal delivery teams and cross organisational services 
• Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts

The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager is the operational engine of the programme, ensuring that every workstream is scoped, resourced, sequenced, delivered and evidenced, and that Kinship is trial-ready, compliant, and well-coordinated through set-up and delivery.

This role needs someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, unflappable, curious, and able to sit comfortably in the detail. The successful person will keep a firm grip on timelines, dependencies and risks.

You will manage a Programmes Officer as well as the set-up, processes, documentation, reporting, trial readiness, communications and cross-team coordination. You will work closely with the Programmes Manager who will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.

You will lead operational quality, systems, processes, data, and compliance. The Programmes Manager will lead practice quality, staff development and supervision, safeguarding and relational delivery. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard. 

Key responsibilities include:

• ​Lead the mobilisation plan across all workstreams and ensure trial readiness.
• Develop all processes, documentation and operational frameworks in line with the intervention protocol.
• Coordinate local authority onboarding, staff training and internal operational setup with the Programmes Manager.
• Work with internal Kinship teams to ensure everyone has clear expectations and is held to account for their performance during mobilisation and delivery – owning the workstreams.

• Ensure weekly pipeline monitoring for treatment and control recruitment.

• Work with the Programmes Manager and Kinship Family Workers to strengthen referral and screening processes where appropriate.

• Identify recruitment risks early and drive rapid problem-solving. 

• Maintain delivery tracking and operational dashboards.

• Identify throughput or workload risks and support adjustments. 

• Lead operational quality assurance (QA) including data quality checks, file audits and process compliance. 

• Coordinate data collection, monitoring and data quality for evaluator requirements (both treatment and control).

Essential knowledge and experience includes:

• Project Management Qualification or commensurate experience.

• Significant experience managing complex projects or programmes with multiple partners and tight delivery requirements.

• Proven experience designing and maintaining structured workflows, operational systems and project plans in fast-paced environments.

• Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams without direct line management responsibility.

• Strong background in quality assurance, process improvement and operational risk management.

• Experience translating evaluation, compliance or regulatory requirements into practical delivery processes.

• Experience developing and maintaining documentation, SOPs, manuals and operational toolkits.

• Experience working with data for monitoring, decision making and evaluation readiness.

• Proven ability to ensure data quality, consistency and audit readiness.

Role Requirements

• Lead strategic OD initiatives that build leadership capability, drive cultural change, and support talent development as part of the organisation’s 2030 Strategy.
• Establish an organisational EDI framework with clear priorities, metrics and governance.
• Continue to embed and further develop the organisational Wellbeing strategy and embed practises that support emotional resilience.
• Champion EDI and Wellbeing initiatives, ensuring these are integral to the OD Plan and embedded in the Workforce Strategy.
• Lead the design and implementation of a trauma-informed, psychologically safe organisational culture.
• Develop frameworks for staff engagement, inclusion, and psychological safety to create a wider positive and high-performing culture.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to shape organisational behaviours, leadership styles, and decision-making that reflect our mission and values.
• Undertake diagnostics analysis to identify cultural, behavioural and capability gaps and develop/ implement a plan to address.
• Drive cultural alignment and leadership cohesion following organisational change, ensuring leaders are equipped to model values, foster collaboration, and lead change effectively across all directorates.
• Design and deliver leadership development programmes that equip leaders to inspire, manage change, and drive organisational success.
• Ensure the fulfilment of current and future commitments to the Leadership Development programme ensuring that our leaders are equipped with the tools they need to drive the organisation forward together with inspiring their individual teams.
• Support succession planning and talent pipelines, ensuring future leadership capability and culture aligns with strategic priorities.
• Provide sound recommendations and strategic direction on learning, career and leadership development, across the organisation based on observation of best practice externally.
• Oversee the Apprenticeship Scheme and core training programmes, ensuring alignment with workforce growth and retention goals.
• Manage the central training budget, ensuring efficient delivery of mandatory and developmental training.
• Continuously review induction and learning programmes, adapting content and processes to meet evolving organisational needs and cultural development.
• Drive organisational initiatives aimed at achieving elevated professional standards and qualifications.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster.

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways.

This role sits within Race Against Dementia’s small Partnerships and Global Growth team, which raises income in the UK and overseas.

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Partnerships Manager. As a skilled relationship-builder, you excel in cultivating partnerships that generate income and drive mutual value whilst contributing to achieving strategic goals. In this dynamic role, you will lead diverse partnerships, playing a pivotal role within our expanding fundraising team.

Collaborating closely with the Director of Partnerships and Global Growth the role leads the development and stewardship of strategic partnerships that deliver meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for growing our partnership portfolio, delivering impactful campaigns and contributing to the long-term sustainability of the charity. This includes leveraging Race Against Dementia’s strong connections with the Stewart Family, Formula 1, and other world-class partners to create innovative collaborations that enhance visibility, engagement, and fundraising outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison for partners, cultivating long-term relationships founded on trust, transparency, and mutual value.
• Maintain and grow partnerships that contribute to Race Against Dementia’s fundraising targets and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate closely with partners to understand their goals, interests, and expectations, crafting customised partnership strategies to effectively address their needs and aspirations.
• Manage and develop each partnership strategy supporting the aim of raising money from businesses as an integral part of the charity’s overall fundraising strategy.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of new business supporters and secure new income by identifying growth areas and opportunities.
• Ensure that partnership proposals are aligned with partner priorities and funding criteria, effectively communicating the impact and value of our programs and initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of ideas and strategies for growth and impact within the fundraising team.
• Track, analyse and report on fundraising results in the partnership income stream and measure, manage and report performance against agreed metrics.
• Develop and implement joint marketing campaigns with partners to enhance our brand visibility.

Community Fundraiser - London​

Brain Tumour Research is seeking an experienced and motivated fundraiser to join our team. As a key part of our fundraising efforts in our high-performing East region, you will have the opportunity to drive income generation through a variety of initiatives, including challenge events, fundraising groups, and corporate partnerships such as charity of the year. You will also be responsible for driving initiatives to increase our profile and supporter base within London.​

Key Responsibilities: ​​​

• Generate income across a range of community fundraising initiatives and events, with the opportunity to lead on key projects 
• Steward supporters to help drive the charity’s fundraising activities and growth 
• ​Work with the fundraising team to develop and maintain strong relationships with fundraisers, donors, partners, and key stakeholders ​
• Contribute towards the growth and success of fundraising efforts, ensuring a sustainable income stream for the vital ongoing funding of brain tumour research ​​

Requirements: ​​

• At least one year of fundraising experience, with a proven track record in income generation 
• Strong experience in supporter stewardship  
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire supporters and partners alike ​
• Passion for Brain Tumour Research and its mission to fund research and ultimately find a cure

We’re looking for a Senior Events Fundraiser to join our Community, Events, and Retail Fundraising team, leading on the delivery of our third party events activities.

You’ll plan, develop, and promote a well-established portfolio of third party challenge events, working to achieve set income targets, while ensuring an outstanding supporter experience for our event participants.

You’ll also be responsible for developing our third party events portfolio; monitoring and evaluating products, as well as innovating, to create opportunities for future growth.
