We’re looking for a creative, proactive and digitally savvy Social Media and Content Assistant to join our Communications team. You’ll support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging content across our social media channels, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.

About You

Key Responsibilities
- Spot and recreate viral trends, adapting them into engaging content for Youth Music’s audiences.
 - Confidently use TikTok and Instagram features, trending sounds, and best practices to boost reach and engagement.
 - Support in planning, creating, editing and scheduling content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, graphics, blogs).
 - Capture and share content from live events, including NextGen community events, festivals, and project visits (occasional evenings and weekends required)
 - Oversee our social media channels on your working days, monitoring all channels (TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn) and liaising with the Digital Content Lead to ensure that messages and comments are responded to promptly and appropriately.
 - Contribute ideas for campaigns and activations that highlight Youth Music’s impact and opportunities.
 - Craft unique copy for multiple channels and formats across campaigns, business documents and owned media.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum 12 months’ cumulative experience in a social media, digital content or communications role.

Candidates will ideally have proven experience in digital marketing and data analytics within the non-profit or charity sector, with strong expertise in CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics tools. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights and testable optimisation plans. You will also improve SEO, website performance, and email/direct marketing campaigns to drive conversion. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience managing agency and partner relationships, are a must. Leadership experience while operating with commercial awareness is valuable.

We’re looking for an experienced and creative fundraiser to lead our individual giving and supporter engagement programmes, grow our supporter base, and champion innovation in public engagement and income generation. You’ll be rallying resources which will ultimately help us grow our impact for wild orangutans and the people living alongside them.
The Role
As Head of Individual Giving & Supporter Engagement, you’ll lead the strategic development and delivery of SOS’s public fundraising portfolio – inspiring individuals around the world to take action and give generously for the future of Sumatra’s rainforests and wildlife.
You’ll be responsible for individual giving, digital acquisition and retention, legacies, appeals and campaigns, and supporter events. You’ll be given the freedom to innovate, identifying and developing new income streams and engagement products and approaches that help us reach and inspire new audiences.
