As the new Challenge Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Challenge Events Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

Over the past year, we have seen significant growth in the number of people wanting to sign up to challenge events and raise money for The Passage and we have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity that will take the lead on our third party and bespoke challenge events. You will bring enthusiasm and experience that aim to raise The Passage’s profile and reach as well as significant income. You’ll manage annual events, test new event concepts and support our growing network of event participants. This is a varied role with lots of potential for growth and development. You will proactively monitor trends and conduct competitor research and analysis to ensure that our event’s portfolio is competitive and attractive to supporters.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Supporter Engagement and Corporate Partnerships team to build and expand our events programme, whilst stewarding existing supporters and engaging new audiences. A key focus of this role is to provide excellent stewardship to boost engagement and optimise fundraising. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and creation of engaging content for emails to build a strong sense of community. Additionally, you will be responsible for recruiting new supporters, nurturing relationships and providing exceptional stewardship to ensure long-term, reliable support.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Develop and manage relationships with Resurgo’s major donors, asking for financial support at the right time.
• Create individual engagement and stewardship plans for existing major donors and new prospects, including in-person meetings, written updates and reports.
• Help to develop the mid-level giving programme by creating a stewardship plan and tailored written communication.

Prospects

• Develop and implement the prospecting strategy, attending networking 
  events, asking for introductions and being confident using LinkedIn to 
  look for new opportunities, identifying, researching and contacting 
  potential supporters.
• Work with the corporate teams to cross-sell opportunities; identify and 
  further engage high level individuals within businesses and vice versa. 

Events

• Assist with the planning and delivery of a variety of fundraising events, 
  working closely with the impact, communications and finance teams to 
  generate strong results.
• Help to develop and deliver new strategic events to further engage 
  major and mid-level donors with Resurgo’s work.

Financial Management

• Help to monitor the major donor pipeline, regularly reporting on income and progress against targets and help with financial management using a CRM (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

1. Lead the Communications and Marketing function and strategy:

• Review and refine our Communications & Marketing strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and responsive to the new chapter unfolding in Syria, positioning us as a leading voice among charities engaging in the region;
• Work with Head of Development to ensure the C&M strategy integrates with our fundraising strategy, driving impact, building trust, and ensuring sustainability; and

2. Manage our annual communications plan:

• Manage social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, scheduling regular, high-quality posts, and managing Meta Ads, to engage existing and new audiences;
• Create engaging digital content, with input from the team on messaging and purpose, to raise Action Syria’s profile and support our fundraising and marketing campaigns;
• Work with the fundraising function on Action Syria’s digital fundraising strategy, with a focus on optimising donor journeys; and

• A demonstrable passion for digital, with subject matter expertise and up to date knowledge of the charity digital market, current trends in the digital space and best practice platforms and techniques across digital communications, fundraising, AI, marketing and infrastructure

Turn2us is a national charity tackling financial insecurity and its structural causes. We work with co-producers and partners to provide people in financial crisis with the means and agency to get back on their feet, build resilience, move forward with their lives and thrive.

Turn2us and its partners have secured £1.5 million from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver an ambitious and innovative new programme that will support charities in England and Scotland to empower diverse and marginalised communities to respond to climate change and to get their voices heard in environmental policy and media debates.It will focus on Disabled people, those facing financial insecurity and people from ethnic minority communities. These voices are often the least heard from in national and local debates on our environment. This new work aims to change that.

As part of this programme, The National Lottery Community Fund have funded the creation of an Engagement Manager post at Turn2us to work with those facing financial insecurity. The Engagement Manager employed by Turn2us will deliver activity with smaller charities and grassroots organisations supporting those facing financial insecurity that:

• Increases awareness of the impact of environmental change and related policy on different communities 
• Listens to people in these communities to find out what actions they want charities and local government to take
• Develops shared local environmental policy priorities and empowers these organisations to advocate directly to local and national policy makers
• Identifies actions that these organisations can take to support communities to respond to climate change, and helps organisations to implement them
• Identifies people with lived experience to receive hands on training in order to act as diverse champions to media and policy makers

They will work closely with Community Engagement Managers employed by Disability Rights UK, and Race Equality Foundation, focussed on reaching organisations supporting Disabled people and people from ethnic minority communities. 

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month on a weekly basis.

Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.

Acts 435 is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Content Officer to play a key role in communicating the charity’s vision, mission, and impact through engaging digital content across social media and its website. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a variety of content that resonates with the charity's community of donors, churches, and supporters. This role will help increase awareness of Acts 435’s work and contribute to growing its donor and church/charity networks, while maintaining it’s Christian ethos.

The Digital Content Officer will be responsible for producing social media posts, videos, graphics, and more to support the charity’s online presence, as well as campaigns and appeals throughout the year. Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional based on the East Coast to both drive high-impact new business from corporations and major donors and build our visibility and external communications to support that goal. This is a hybrid role, balancing strategic digital marketing, brand-building and media engagement with income generation, deepening existing relationships with key stakeholders, establishing new partnerships and increasing our visibility.

This is a new position for Street Child, complementing our existing presence on the West Coast. The successful candidate will need to be a strong all-rounder, able to excel in a variety of work areas, although the role will work closely with and be supported by global communications, marketing and corporate fundraising teams, with existing strategies, materials and platforms to leverage and tailor to a US audience.

While this role is not office-based, the successful candidate will be located in or around NYC or DC.

Key Responsibilities:

Major Gift Fundraising (50%)

• Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
• Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
• Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.
• Oversee all corporate engagement activities, including employee giving, volunteering and cause marketing campaigns.
• Develop and deliver corporate events to build relationships with and raise funds from our developing network of US-based corporations.
• Collaborate with corporate partners to enhance their internal communications strategies, driving awareness and engagement among their employees around shared initiatives.
• Craft compelling proposals, pitches and presentations for potential partners.
• Steward relationships successfully to ensure long-term impact and retention.
• Track partnership impact, prepare reports and communicate successes to internal and external stakeholders including funding partners and Street Child’s Board of Directors.
• Identify & cultivate new prospects among individuals and corporations.

Communications & Marketing (50%)

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and digital marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
• Drive digital marketing campaigns across key channels, leveraging analytics to optimize performance.
• Lead content creation efforts, including blogs, case studies, impact stories, newsletters and press releases.
• Build and execute a strategy for growing Street Child’s share of voice in the sector, engaging with media and industry influencers.
• Work with external web developers to manage and enhance website content, SEO and UX to improve engagement and conversion.
• Monitor trends, conduct competitor analysis, and identify opportunities to position Street Child as a thought leader.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong track record of securing major gifts ($100,000+) from corporations and individuals, including strategic partnerships, sponsorships and events.
• High-level strategic thinking and planning.​
• Experience in a similar role across fundraising and marketing.
• Proven success in driving digital marketing strategies, growing brand awareness, and managing media relations.
• Excellent storytelling skills with experience in content creation, social media management and PR, and media connections.
• Experience using digital tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
