Job description

About us

Brook is the UK’s leading provider of sexual health and wellbeing services for young people. We are committed to changing attitudes, challenging prejudices and championing equality so that young people can make positive, healthy lifestyle choices.

We provide free, confidential sexual health services and counselling in clinical settings throughout the country. Our education work supports young people’s emotional development and teaches core life skills, while our training for professionals improves the confidence of teachers to deliver effective, rights-based relationships and sex education.

About this position

You will play a vital part in implementing Brook’s new Digital strategy; helping the organisation progress and thrive digitally, both internally and externally, and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

You will work closely with teams across the organisation to embed digital best practice, raise Brook’s profile, ensure young people’s voices are heard throughout our work and support the professionals who work with them.

About you

You will have a positive attitude, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work.

You will also be organised and demonstrate excellent attention to detail, thinking both critically and empathetically, to ensure all work is of a high standard.

You will have experience of working on multiple projects and to differing deadlines, and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and respond constructively to pressure, seeking support when required.

Essential to this role is demonstrable experience of working in a digital-focussed role, preferably within a voluntary sector or not-for profit organisation. You have experience of working collaboratively both internally and externally, and of supporting colleagues to maximise the potential of digital within their work.

In return for your expertise, skills and initiative, we can offer an exciting position within a supportive team, and genuinely interesting work within a charity that has a proud history and ambitious plans for the future.

Please note: this is not a digital communications/marketing role, though some basic knowledge or experience of digital communications and marketing may be beneficial for the position

Your application

To apply for this role, please submit your CV and a personal statement, no longer than 1,500 words, by 30 June 2020. The personal statement should outline why you are a suitable candidate, with reference to the role specification, and your reasons for applying. Interviews for this role will take place virtually on 15-16 July 2020.
