Libraries Connected is seeking a Research and Evaluation Manager to join our newly formed Policy, External Affairs, and Research Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver impactful research and evaluation across the public library sector.

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s aid have for over 45 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse? 

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.  

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have staff offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

JOB PURPOSE:
Ø  The postholder will grow and engage with BSWA’s supporter community through timely and effective communication.

Ø  The postholder will lead BSWA’s presence on social media, producing sensitive, impactful and informative communications and content, to raise awareness of violence against women and girls and drive support for the organisation.

Ø  The postholder will support and uphold the BSWA brand, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission, vision and values at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing, Campaigns and Supporter Engagement:

Ø  Develop and maintain the organisation’s supporter engagement work, ensuring consistent messaging to external stakeholders, supporters and the general public.

Ø  Create and maintain website copy.

Ø  Work with colleagues to gather and plan content and ideas including news, project updates, current affairs, policy statements, stories and case studies.

Ø  Contribute to the development of fundraising and policy/cause-based campaigns, using your creative and communication skills to further BSWA’s goals.

Ø  Work with the wider team to ensure that communications and branding are joined up throughout the organisation.

Ø  Provide support where needed with public affairs and events.

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation. You will help support the smooth operation of charity projects, media campaigns, and collaborations, while supporting the delivery of the charity’s community engagement and outreach activities.

A key focus of this role will be managing and maintaining the charity’s digital presence, including social media channels, newsletters, and website updates. You will plan, create, edit, and share content that reflects the charity’s mission and values, moderate online communities in line with our Social Media Policy, and collate insights to continually improve engagement and reach. The role also includes oversight of the volunteer and fundraising inboxes, ensuring timely responses and smooth communication. gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

Orchard Fundraising is actively seeking Client Leads to join our team. ​​The role is to lead all activities for a set of clients (typically 4 or 5 in due course). You will be the main point of contact and manage the work supporting each charity. You will be responsible for delivering the agreed fundraising strategy, setting the plan and supervising others working for you in a matrix management system.  At times, you will also need to be involved in application drafting for more complicated bids. 

The role is fully remote, working from home, ideally between 20 and 32 hours per week and can be structured to accommodate your availability and aspirations. Work is highly flexible and could fit around other commitments and lifestyle, with periodic client and colleague meetings at mutually convenient times. Orchard Fundraising is proud of its highly personable approach and is adaptable to a wide range of working patterns. If your availability and needs are outside these parameters, we may still be able to accommodate the right candidates.

At least five years experience of charity fundraising is required, notably trusts and foundations, with expertise in one or more of HNWI, legacy, corporate, digital and individual giving an advantage. You are likely to have been in a senior and/or management role (or demonstrate the capabilities to develop the necessary skills). While no formal qualifications are needed, a Chartered Institute of Fundraising qualification or training would be preferable. Client Leads work as part of the wider Orchard Fundraising team, so there is always support, but it is necessary to be highly reliable, available for clients, a strategic thinker, able to remotely manage others and be highly self-sufficient. Having personal characteristics compatible with the company ethos is essential.

While Orchard Fundraising has clients throughout the UK, nearly all work is conducted remotely, and visits are rare. We have a concentration of clients in the South West and West Midlands, so living in (or knowledge of) these areas would be beneficial.

Purpose

Horatio’s Garden is a nationwide charity creating and nurturing beautifully designed gardens in NHS’s spinal injury centres.

The Patient Experience Manager will be instrumental in supporting patients and families use of the garden. 

Along with the Head Gardener, you will be responsible for the smooth running of a thriving, vibrant garden ensuring the patient and their family are appropriately supported throughout their time in the spinal unit. 

This role requires you to manage a team of volunteers and work closely with the Head Gardener who maintains the horticultural standard of the garden and delivers therapeutic horticulture sessions.  You will be managed by the national Patient Experience Lead.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clinical and non-clinical NHS staff, corporate sponsors, funders, the Fundraising team, the Communications team and the Events Programme Manager. 

The gardens have been beautifully designed and maintained, and the role of the garden needs to reflect an appropriate environment for patients and their families at all stages of their stay.  From the initial welcome, to ensuring the contact and relationship is consistent with activities to suit their needs.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering social activities, supported by the charity’s Events Programme Manager and in collaboration with the wider Spinal Injuries team in Glasgow. These activities will mainly need to be held on a weekend afternoon which is a critical time in the garden when most patients are available and often have friends and family to visit. Currently the Events programme includes seasonal celebrations and social and craft activities. External facilitators also deliver photography, printing, painting, ceramic workshops and live music performances.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, proactive individual who is efficient, well organised and has outstanding communication and relationship building skills. You will need to be adaptable and friendly and confident working with a wide range of people including people with spinal injuries and their families, NHS staff, volunteers and many different teams within the charity.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

People with spinal injuries

· Develop relationships with patients and families to ensure the best experience for them in the garden at every stage of their stay

· Maintain a consistent social and arts activity programme appropriate for the current patient group, liaising with the Events Programme Manager and managing the volunteers accordingly

· Organise a programme of seasonal events, reflecting the needs of patients

· Work with the Impact Manager to monitor patient experience and the impact of the garden

· Ensure the garden is managed to allow the correct balance is in place to benefit both patients and external parties (major donors, trusts, corporate groups and other visitors) 

NHS staff

· Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with NHS clinical teams and voluntary services
 

Volunteers

· Recruitment and training of new volunteers

· Manage the team of volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the garden with patient experience at its core
 

Fundraising and Communications

· Work with fundraising managers, Head Gardener and volunteers to develop opportunities to generate income in the garden through friends, corporate friends and third-party fundraising

You will play an active part in shaping and delivering corporate fundraising campaigns and stewardship activities, with a good level of ownership balanced by the support of an experienced income generation team. 

As Major Donors and Partnerships Coordinator, you will contribute significantly to diversifying and sustaining CLAPA’s income. With an ambitious Income Generation Strategy in place, this is a timely opportunity to help strengthen CLAPA’s profile in corporate fundraising and partnerships. Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with donors and partners will be a core part of your role.

Working in a small and collaborative income generation team, you will need to be organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a supportive environment where you can grow your skills while making a meaningful contribution.

About You and the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Lead to join our lifesaving charity. As part of the Marketing Communications team, you’ll focus on the delivery of our digital marketing and communication plans, working across the charity to build relationships and help teams meet their engagement and income objectives. You’ll act as an internal account manager for internal digital marketing requests, providing an exceptional stakeholder service.

You’ll be passionate about delivering exceptional online experiences, excited by what’s possible in the digital space and be driven to use insight to shape what you do across a wide range of marketing channels including our website, email marketing and digital ads.

You will work closely with the Head of Digital and Marketing to develop and implement engaging digital marketing strategies that support the strategic goals and ambitions of the charity.

The successful candidate will have experience in project managing, delivering and evaluating multi-channel marketing campaigns for a business or charity.  You will be experienced in managing website updates and be comfortable creating and editing imagery and graphics for use across digital environments.

*This role will be worked a minimum of 3 days a week from our Norwich office and up to 2 days a week from home.  The exact days worked in the office will be agreed with the successful candidate, but you must live within a commutable distance of our Norwich office.
