Job Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic and people-focused Community Fundraiser to join our team. You will engage with individuals, schools, local businesses, groups, and volunteers to inspire and grow support for the charity at a grassroots level.

Key Responsibilities

· Fundraising & Engagement

o Build, develop, and manage relationships with community supporters including individual giving, schools, local clubs, faith groups, and small businesses.

o Identify new fundraising opportunities and proactively engage new supporters.

o Organise and attend community fundraising events, presentations, cheque collections, and supporter meetings.

o Recruit, train, and support community fundraising volunteers and ambassadors.

o Ensure volunteers feel valued and are equipped with the resources and knowledge to fundraise effectively.

· Marketing & Communications

o Work with the communications team to promote community fundraising stories, activities, and events through social media, newsletters, and local press.

o Support creation of fundraising packs and stewardship materials tailored to different community audiences.

· Performance & Reporting

o Set, track, and meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including fundraising targets, supporter retention, and event participation.

o Maintain accurate records of community activity, income, and relationships in the charity’s CRM system.

o Report regularly to the Head of Income Generation on performance, trends, and supporter feedback.

· Compliance & Best Practice

o Ensure all community fundraising activity is delivered in line with Fundraising Regulator guidelines, safeguarding policy, and health and safety standards.

Person Specification

Essential:

· Experience in community fundraising, event management, volunteer coordination, or a similar supporter-facing role.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and inspire action.

· Strong organisational and time management skills; able to prioritise and work on multiple projects.

· Confident communicator with public speaking experience and a positive, proactive approach.

Purpose of the Role:

As a key leader within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will be responsible for creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme – how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Income Development, you’ll be the custodian of the Social Mobility Employer Index (SMEI) – our annual benchmarking and assessment tool for how UK employers recruit, retain and develop talent from all socioeconomic backgrounds and build inclusive workplaces. You'll have full product ownership, managing the delivery lifecycle from end-to-end: from marketing, to pipeline development and entrant submissions, data analysis, reporting and evaluation, as well as ongoing development and improvement.

We’re looking for an Internal Events Manager with the skills and experience to deliver two major all-colleague events in the next 12 months, celebrating our work and connecting with each other. This is a part time role (3 days a week, ideally Tuesday to Thursday).

Our partner seeks a driven and astute grants finance officer to support in the financial management and monitoring of projects being implemented in Asia, Africa and Latin America. This is a newly created position, and will suit someone who is meticulous, has strong attention to detail and able to manage relationships with a number of global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial transactions and entries, prepare and process income receipts and maintain accurate digital records and ensure proper filing of all financial documentation on internal systems.
• Review, verify, and process payments to suppliers and sub-grantees, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and compliant with internal controls.
• Create and close financial grants for codes; monitor and update internal trackers for grant management; track and report balances across active grants and funding streams; and complete grant reconciliations.
• Support in the preparation of donor reports, in the implementation of donor compliance controls, and in the preparation for any donor audits.
• Lead in preparing sub-grantee agreements, and processing of cash requests.

Requirements

• PQ accountant with experience of working in an international organisation working across multiple countries. Strong experience of accounts processing, financial accounting and reporting, and of supporting budgeting and financial management.

• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with colleagues working globally.

Conciliation Resources is an international organisation committed to stopping violent conflict and creating more peaceful societies. We work with people impacted by war and violence, bringing diverse voices together to make change that lasts. 

For over 30 years, we have been making peace possible. We currently have over 80 full and part time staff members, working mainly out of the London and Australian offices. We work with over 100 locally-based and international partners worldwide. 

Communications 

The Communications team currently consists of the Senior Communications Manager. The Communications team has oversight over all areas of organisational communications including the website and digital communications, branding, media relations and production of content. The Communications team works closely with other staff members across Conciliation Resources to provide specialist support and advice to colleagues and partners, and to develop and implement strategies. The Communications team is part of the Development and Communications team, which consists of three staff.

Job purpose 

To assist in implementing Conciliation Resources’ Communications Strategy and communicating effectively with target audiences, as well as to provide support to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Communications team’s activities, monitoring and reporting. 

Scope and accountability 

The Communications Officer works as part of the Communications team to support the delivery of a range of tasks across digital, non-digital and internal communications. They provide support to the Senior Communications Manager, and the wider organisation. 

Person specification 

Experience and knowledge 

• Extensive experience of writing for different audiences and for different channels. 
• Knowledge of different communications approaches, including social media platforms and experience of communicating effectively via these platforms. 
• Knowledge and experience of creating different types of content, including social media posts, graphics, photos, articles and video/audio content. 
• Experience of using website CMS (Drupal). 
• Experience of administration, including maintaining electronic databases and filing systems. 
• Experience of working in a team and supporting others. 
• Previous experience in a Communications or related role. 

• Interest in, and some knowledge of, conflict issues, peacebuilding and/or international development. 

Skills and attributes 

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to convey information in a compelling and concise way and to re-package complex or technical content in an accessible format. 
• Good research and analytical skills. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with and influence others across a team and organisation. 
• Excellent attention to detail. 
• Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage small communications projects. 
• Good computer and IT skills with the ability to learn new systems and platforms, and the ability to use tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and Mailchimp.

22.5 hours per week / £26,230 per annum, pro rata / permanent / hybrid - working pattern to be discussed at interview.

Our Youth Voice and Engagement team specialise in youth participation and digital co-production. They have an organisation-wide strategic remit to develop and embed an inclusive and accessible youth voice and leadership programme. The team is also responsible for the delivery of our digital e-wellbeing service and the development of other digital platforms to meet the needs of the children and young people we support.

We are recruiting for a Youth Voice and Engagement Co-ordinator to help us bring youth participation to life across West Sussex. As part of our Youth Engagement Team, you’ll lead the delivery of our Youth Voice Action Plan, working directly with young people in supported accommodation, therapeutic services, and youth advice settings in West Sussex. You’ll collaborate with frontline staff to embed meaningful engagement practices and ensure young people’s voices are heard, valued, and acted upon.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

We are recruiting a Youth Voice and Engagement Co-ordinator, who has experience in youth engagement, co-production, or participation work. You will also have the ability to build trust with young people and staff alike and knowledge of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.

You will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of a proactive and responsive press and media strategy.

You will craft compelling press releases, source and publish emotive case studies and news stories that secure impactful media coverage to inform, inspire and drive change. Working closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams, you will ensure our messaging is powerful, accurate, and resonates with a wide range of audiences, from journalists to policymakers.
