We are recruiting a Head of Fundraising Strategy, Performance & Insight (maternity cover) on a 12 month contract to lead strategic fundraising development and planning, working with the Director of Fundraising, Communications and Policy to ensure the ambition and interests of the directorate are represented in the new organisational strategy.
This is a role for someone with a deep understanding of different forms of fundraising and the opportunities that exist for a values-driven organisation like Refuge. You will have extensive experience in one or more of Refuge’s key income streams, and an understanding of communications, digital, brand and policy, as well as high financial literacy and experience of complex funding arrangements. You’ll bring strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex, cross-organisational initiatives from planning through to execution.
This is an exciting time to join the charity - with a new CEO in place, we are developing a new strategy to support our vision for a future where domestic abuse is no longer tolerated. We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead and grow our voluntary income. Your focus will span the full range of fundraising activities, from statutory and trust funding to developing and increasing income across major donor giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, and individual giving.

As Head of Fundraising, you will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to increase philanthropic support and voluntary income. You’ll be part of an organisation where you can see the direct effect of your work on the services we deliver to keep children safe.
You will lead and support a small team, bring fresh thinking and strong relationship-building skills, and work closely with project leads to ensure our funding reflects real needs and delivers real impact. You will be able to combine strategic and commercial awareness, with hands-on delivery.
This role will give you the opportunity and responsibility to build on our successful fundraising and extend our appeal to new donors as well as maintain our existing supporters. You will need demonstrable fundraising experience and the ability to work confidently as a strategic thinker as well as a practical fundraiser. You will come with strong ideas and skills to implement them.

We're looking for a passionate individual to join Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust as our Head of Fundraising. This is a new senior strategic position within Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT), with overarching responsibility for all Fundraising across the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Head of Fundraising will be a self-starter, who is target driven and proactive. Position: Centre Operations Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Jamyang Buddhist Centre, London, with the option for some remote working.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week; occasional evenings and weekends required with TOIL.

Purpose
As Centre Operations Manager, you work closely with the Executive Director to support Jamyang’s mission of fostering a caring, warmhearted community. You are the backbone of day-to-day operations, supervising local and resident volunteers in essential tasks such as facilities upkeep, team meal preparation, and general site care. You manage procurement and ensure that operational systems and processes are both effective and aligned with Jamyang’s values.
You’ll also play a key role in helping the Centre live its environmental commitments—making mindful choices in purchasing, resource use, and daily operations that reflect our shared care for the planet.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team & Volunteer Supervision
· Supervise local and resident volunteers in daily centre tasks (facilities upkeep; team meal preparation; general site care), ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and with care.
· Create and manage volunteer rotas, provide on-the-job guidance, and foster a supportive environment that aligns with Jamyang’s values of care and interconnectedness.
2. Procurement & Resource Management
· Oversee the procurement of goods and services essential for the centre’s operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability.
· Maintain supplier relationships and monitor inventories to support seamless centre operations.
3. Operational Systems & Process Improvement
· Design and implement operational processes that support Jamyang’s mission and values, including record-keeping, contractor management, and facilities oversight: from scheduling minor repairs to coordinating decorative maintenance and small improvement projects.
· Administer digital tools (Asana, BreatheHR, QuickBooks Online) to support collaboration and productivity across the team.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements (liaising with external H&S consultants).
4. Finance & Administration
· Oversee invoice tracking, vendor payments, and financial hygiene (liaising with the external bookkeeping service).
· Support budget monitoring, insurance, utilities, contracts, and other administrative tasks as required.
5. Leadership & Collaboration
· Collaborate closely with the People & Community Coordinator to align systems, onboarding, volunteer support, and community engagement initiatives.
· Foster a culture of calm, warmheartedness, and integrity across all operational functions.

The Communications Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK inspires, engages and informs the public about dementia and the progress being made in research. The department leads on the charity’s media and PR work, including everything from the latest research breakthroughs to compelling stories from people who have been affected by dementia, as well as engaging the public through face-to-face events and activities.
The Communications Assistant will play a key role within the Strategic Communications function. They will be a part of the Supporters & Families Communications team, who recruit and work with the charity’s Media & Communications Volunteers and other supporters, sharing their lived experience of dementia to highlight why the charity’s mission is so vital.
This is a varied role that will involve the day-to-day management of our image and story library and essential administrative support for the Strategic Communications teams. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Administrative:
Manage the day-to-day organisation of supporter story content and related assets on the digital asset management system (ResourceSpace), which serves as the organisation’s image and story library, including;
· Upload supporter story assets (story write-ups, images and related resources) to the system with associated consent.
· Manage consent of supporter stories and associated imagery to ensure the assets on the system are GDPR-compliant and protect the interests of our supporters.
· Be the point of contact within the Communications department for ResourceSpace queries.
· Use internal communications channels to champion the use of ResourceSpace across the organisation.
· Proactively identify opportunities to improve the system for users through user feedback and problem-solving to ensure the system is working optimally for teams across Alzheimer’s Research UK.
· Work with teams across the organisation to understand their needs and help provide them with curated content.
· Create and update user guides and guidance for ResourceSpace users and administrators.

Media & Communications:
· Work with supporters to tell their fundraising stories and personal experiences of dementia for use on our own channels (social media, email newsletters, website articles etc) and to create marketing content to be held on ResourceSpace for organisational use.
· Work with fundraising teams, and other relevant teams, to establish their supporter story needs and gather stories to fulfil this.
· Provide internal communications support as needed for the Strategic Communications teams and Communications department. Use various internal communications channels to champion the work of the Supporters & Families Communications team and other Strategic Communications teams.
· Be a part of the Communications department’s newsdesk function, helping to respond to media enquiries and provide media briefings across the organisation.
· Use our media database to prepare distribution lists for proactive media work as needed and support with the monitoring of media coverage.
