• Press and Media Relations – Secure high-profile, targeted media coverage aligned with RCR priorities; support Officers as expert spokespeople and foster strong media relationships.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain influential relationships across the health sector, government, and within the RCR to extend reach and impact.
• AI Strategy – Secure the RCR’s place as a leading organisation in the healthcare space by driving the development of expert thought leadership, impactful programmes of work and a solid AI strategy for the College
• Leadership and Management – Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team across data and insight, policy, public affairs, media and AI, ensuring strategic alignment and high performance.

The Head of Member Experience is a high-profile leadership role at the College, responsible for shaping and delivering an innovative and inclusive membership experience for over 25,000 paediatricians and child health professionals globally. As Head of Member Experience, you will oversee the development and delivery of a compelling member benefits offer, using data, insights and member feedback to enhance satisfaction, retention and income (currently over £7.5 million). We are seeking a dynamic and creative fundraiser to support activity across community and events fundraising. The role will focus on providing exceptional stewardship for our calendar of community and events fundraising. About Us

The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. We work in partnership with the teams on the wards, paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and in outpatient clinics. Our charity provides support and resources for patients, families and staff, as well as funding lifesaving medical equipment, accommodation - so that parents can stay close to their child during an admission, toys and entertainment for the playroom and improvements to the facilities to create the best possible environment for families to promote their wellbeing during what can often be a very challenging time. In collaboration with the hospital trust and the NHS we also fund research projects and develop new initiatives for babies, children and young people with heart and lung conditions. 

About You

Main Duties and Responsilbilties 

Community and Events Fundraising

• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

• Support the management of event logistics, including participant communication, volunteer coordination, and on-the-day activities.

• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations and build strong relationships for future collaboration.

• Lead outreach efforts to engage new local community partners, such as (small) businesses, schools, and clubs, promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.

• Lead on generating income through supermarket schemes. • To represent the charity when required in schools, engagement events and cheque presentations. 

Individual Giving

• Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships.

• Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship.

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.

Supporter Care

• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.

• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws. 

Administrative and Financial Support

• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.

• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.

• Overseeing our online shop.

Marketing and Communication

• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.

• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.

• Ensure fundraising and associated webpages are kept up to date. Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the wider team (when required) to support in-hospital and community events as well as assisting with tasks as needed to ensure smooth charity operations.

• Support the CEO and team members with ad hoc projects, activities, and any high-priority tasks to contribute to overall team objectives.

• Any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising.

Additional Information

Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. One-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend contract length subject to performance and funding.

We are looking for a talented and visionary Graphic Designer to join our team at a pivotal time. In this newly created in-house role, you will be instrumental in helping to evolve and elevate the visual identity of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, ensuring our brand resonates with young people and decision-makers, and reflects the power of non-formal education worldwide.

From refreshing our global brand to designing dynamic content and campaign materials, your creativity will help drive awareness, engagement, and participation in the Award. You'll work collaboratively with teams across the Foundation and our international network, producing materials that not only look great, but carry real meaning and purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Brand Development & Identity: Lead creative development to refresh our brand so that it communicates impact, celebrates young people, and demonstrates our vision and values
   
• Visual Storytelling & Content Design: Translate complex ideas and data into accessible and visually engaging formats by creating assets for campaigns, content series, publications and digital platforms— including social media graphics, short-form videos and animations, marketing materials, reports, infographics, toolkits, and event assets
   
• Innovation & Accessibility: Stay informed on design trends and youth visual culture to bring fresh ideas, a user-centred mindset, and an inclusive approach that keeps our visual storytelling current and compelling, whilst ensuring accessibility and cultural relevance to young people across the world
• Internal Support: Work with teams across the organisation to develop brand-aligned guidelines, templates, resources, and capacity-building in visual communication principles

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to join our Individual Giving team as the Individual Giving Assistant – Supporter Acquisition.

This role will play a key part in supporting the recruitment of new supporters to the Charity through a range of direct marketing channels and propositions. The post-holder will provide vital administrative support, help deliver campaigns, ensure excellent supporter care, and play an important role in front-of-house operations at both our Chelsea and Sutton offices.

• Delivering first-class supporter care to new donors, helping ensure a positive and lasting first impression.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of supporter acquisition campaigns, including proofreading, briefing materials, and coordinating timelines.
• Helping with campaign reporting, KPI tracking, and budget administration.
• Providing regular front-of-house support including managing supporter queries by phone, email, and in person at Chelsea and Sutton.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure seamless donor journeys and data accuracy.
