About the role
We are looking for a senior External Affairs leader to oversee a busy multi-disciplinary team to drive our reputational, influencing and engagement work across our national outreach, this is not a new post - it is one that already exists within the company's staffing structure. This is a highprofile position within the organisation, with responsibility for leading an integrated approach to delivering our strategic objectives across government relations, policy influencing, communications and marketing and audience engagement functions.

External Affairs sits within CEC’s Strategy & Communications directorate alongside Policy & Impact and Strategic Business Engagement and plays a key role in helping these teams and other sectorled teams across CEC to engage audiences, communicate evidence led practice and to help inform and influence positively on future approaches to driving high quality careers education.
The role brings together three key areas:
- Corporate Affairs and government and policy engagement, including parliamentary relationsand wider external influencers on careers, skills and education policy and provision
- Communications, inclusive of press and media relations and stakeholder communications across multi-channels
- Marketing and Audience Engagement, to engage and support multiple key actors within the careers education landscape, including schools and colleges, employers and providers

JOB PURPOSE
The Fundraising and Communications Executive will play a key role in implementing OTR’s fundraising and communications strategies. The role involves planning, creating, curating and managing high-quality digital content across our website, social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. Furthermore, you will support key areas of our fundraising strategy, including trust and grant applications, horizon scanning and ensuring excellent fundraising administration across all areas of activity.
This position is instrumental in supporting the Head of Fundraising in developing and strengthening OTR’s income streams and increasing awareness of OTR’s services through effective communications.
Specific role duties
Supporting the fundraising strategy
• Lead on OTR’s donor and community fundraiser stewardship through excellent communication and effective relationship management.
• Lead on the implementation of fundraising communications across channels.

• Support the stewardship of small and medium-sized trusts and foundations including scoping, applications, reporting and funder management.

Social media
• Working with the Head of Fundraising, CEO and Volunteer Coordinator and Business Support Officer, contribute to OTR’s social media presence by creating and scheduling engaging, accessible, and informative content that resonates with our audience and supports OTR’s mission.
• Monitor social media platforms to ensure timely and appropriate responses to comments and messages.
• Identify new opportunities to grow OTR’s social media reach, building awareness of our services, fundraising and outreach work.
• Regularly report on social media performance, using insights to inform future content and strategy.

Email marketing

Content creation

The Systems and Administration Officer will be responsible for the effective running of Heart of the City’s systems and administrative processes, ensuring that digital tools are utilised in the most effective way, and governance, finance and business support processes are delivered efficiently.
The post holder will manage the delivery of key IT, finance, governance and administrative processes. This includes ensuring the legal compliance, effectiveness and security of cloud services and software used by the team, supporting the director with financial planning and administration and managing calendars, governance systems and general correspondence. The post-holder will also be a key contact point both internally and externally; this includes senior stakeholders on the Board of Trustees and Council of Members. They will also support the team with day-to-day office management and queries with software and cloud service usage, with a view to streamlining systems where possible.

Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre is a user-led charity dedicated to supporting people affected by muscular dystrophy - rare and sometimes life-limiting conditions that impact 110,000 people in the UK. We are seeking an Exhibitions and Collections Projects Manager to join the Crafts Council on a permanent basis. This is a vital role in the Public Programmes team to oversee the maintenance and development of Crafts Council Collections and the delivery of key temporary exhibitions.
Reporting to the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, this role will ensure the Crafts Council Collections are documented and preserved to a high standard for future generations. Main Duties

- Lead dynamic teams of casual assistants, freelance technicians, designers, conservators and photographers as required
- Facilitate accessibility of the Crafts Council Collections including Primary, Handling, Archive, Oral Histories and Library. Leading on both online accessibility via Collections Online and ensuring the collection is available to its audiences physically
- Ensure maximum impact from National Lottery Heritage Funded project 'Craft for the People' Is achieved, ensuring crafts council collection is available to a wider amount of people and is more resilient
- Oversee management of upcoming loans, arranging object transportation, entry and exit processes, loan agreements, mounting and conservation, where needed
- Lead on loans marketing and collections income generation projects
- Oversee collection management projects, including acquisitions, auditing, condition checking, improving packing, image and copyright licensing, object photography, location and movement control. Recording Information on Crafts Council's CMS Museum Index +
- Review and improve collections storage processes, embed collections trust benchmarks in security, building management system for temperature and humidity control, pest and disaster management

Purpose

Main Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:
1. Project Support
- Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
- Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
- Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed

- Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery

The Rainy Day Trust is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead our small but mighty charity as we enter an exciting new strategic planning cycle. About Us
The Rainy Day Trust provides practical, financial and emotional support to people who work - or have worked - in the home-improvement and enhancement industries (builders’ merchants, DIY, garden centres, tradespeople and related sectors). We deliver grants, debt relief, apprenticeship funding, fuel-poverty assistance, legal advice, counselling and e-learning, partnering with industry peers to tackle poverty through both direct intervention and prevention. We pride ourselves on punching above our weight to ensure every beneficiary lives with dignity.
The Role
As CEO, you will work in partnership with the Board to finalise and own our new five-year business plan, ensuring its successful delivery. You’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership. overseeing service delivery, fundraising, financial stewardship and regulatory compliance, while modelling our core values of transparency, fairness, energy, inclusivity and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Co-create, implement and evaluate the new five-year strategy, business plan and budgets.
- Operational Management: Lead a small core team and manage partner relationships (e.g. Maximus for casework). Ensure high-quality, cost-effective service delivery and robust risk controls.
- Income Generation: Devise and deliver a diversified fundraising strategy (corporate partnerships, events, digital campaigns) to secure financial stability in a demanding climate.
- Governance & Compliance: Act as Nominated Individual to the Charity Commission; support the Board in trustee recruitment, training and governance best practice.
- External Relations: Serve as chief spokesperson; build and sustain partnerships across the home-improvement sector to raise awareness and influence.
- Culture & Values: Foster an organisational culture of learning, innovation, professionalism and integrity that reflects our values at every level.

Person Specification
Essential
- Graduate or equivalent vocational qualification.
- At least 10 years’ senior-management experience in a comparable organisation (charity, social enterprise or commercial).
- Proven track record of income generation across varied channels.
- Experience of strategic planning, budget management and regulatory compliance (Charity Commission, SORP).
- Strong leadership skills: able to inspire small teams and foster collaborative partnerships.
- Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing; adept at presenting complex issues succinctly.
- Financially literate: able to interpret spreadsheets, set forecasts and manage risk.
Desirable
- Experience in the home-improvement, construction or retail sectors.
- Familiarity with mental-health or preventative-welfare work.
- Background in formal collaborations/joint ventures.
