Engineers Without Borders International is seeking a passionate and creative Digital Marketing volunteer to join our team. Perfect for someone bolstering their CV or someone who has a few hours free to support a meaningful cause, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global movement dedicated to addressing global inequity and injustice through engineering solutions.
As a Digital Marketing Volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying our message, engaging our audience, and promoting the voice of the Engineers Without Borders movement across various digital platforms.
Role responsbilities
Content Creation: Generate compelling and engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter,, LinkedIn) that aligns with Engineers Without Borders International's mission and core goals. This includes but is not limited to creating posts, graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
Content Curation: Stay informed about global engineering projects, humanitarian initiatives, and sustainability efforts to curate relevant content for our audience. Utilise credible sources to share impactful stories, success stories, and updates from Engineers Without Borders organisations worldwide.
Community Engagement: Foster meaningful interactions with our online community by responding to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Encourage dialogue, share resources, keep our website updated and build relationships with followers to promote a sense of belonging and involvement in our movement.
Campaign Support: Collaborate with colleagues, our external marketing support and global communications representatives to support ongoing campaigns, fundraising efforts, and awareness initiatives. Create content that effectively communicates campaign messages, drives engagement, and encourages action among our target audience.
We are looking for someone who has
- A passion for social justice, sustainability, and global development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically in unpacking and communicating complex concepts in a digestible format.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms and familiarity with social media management tools.
- Experience with graphic design, specifically Canva.
- Experience with website editing tools such as WordPress.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, manage time effectively and meet agreed deadlines.

Renumeration
This is a voluntary role (non-remunerated) and offer exceptional professional development opportunities for the successful candidate.
Time commitment
Up to four hours a week inclusive of meetings.

Our team is located internationally- you can be based anywhere in the world with the ability to hold meetings with team members in the Central European Timezone.

Some branches are divided into smaller divisions to ensure the best local service delivery. Each branch has a team of volunteer caseworkers, support volunteers, executive roles, and fundraisers.
Our clients, volunteers and supporters come from all backgrounds and age groups and want to engage with us in different ways too. To offer the best possible service we need to provide seamless communication, consistent messages, and accurate information. We’d love to hear from you if think you could help us grow our on-line presence.

As part of your local branch, you might have access to an office, but many volunteers are based at home.

They are looking for freelance volunteer Digital Marketing support (Content, Email, Social Media, WordPress) to help take ParkPlay to the next level and ensure our story is told impactfully and effectively with relevant Partners, PlayLeaders and ParkPlayers.
Planning the monthly content calendar (Impact posts, blogs, Email, new launches, ParkPlayer stories, ParkPlayer of the Month). 3 or 4 posts per week. Preparing content in Canva, CapCut, Quicktime. QMC is internationally recognised with a significant presence online and on social media, and it is a partner of Quilombo UK.

Roles and Responsibilities
The role is responsible for planning/implementing content marketing strategies which increase brand awareness with our core target markets through the effective use of social media channels. This will include developing and implementing content marketing campaigns appropriate to the channel being used, monitoring social media channels to respond appropriately to posts/comments, and identifying issues that require escalation.
Digital and Social Media Assistant Job Duties:
- Research and create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including content ideation, and implementation schedules in order to raise brand awareness, secure media coverage, and increase visitor numbers.
- Manage and oversee social media content.
- Ensures brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including advertising, PR and brand management.
- Provides training and guidance to social media and marketing team members on social media implementation best practices and strategies if necessary.
- Analyses interactions and visits, plus uses this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Write, schedule and post content on all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube), own the social media calendar and be a brand guardian for the creative aesthetic of all social channels.
- Measure the success of every social media campaign
- Reports progress to senior marketing management on marketing communications across all channels.
- Creates and distributes engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
- Adhere to rules and regulations
- Undertake any other duties relevant to the role that may be allocated by the Head of Department or member of the Senior Management Team.
Essential

The volunteering program with QMC requires a minimum of 21 weeks of commitment. We are looking for someone who can offer 12 hours a week, Monday - Friday.
Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.
