About the role
This varied role provides the exciting opportunity to lead our NAFIS (National Association of Family Information Services) programme and lead on communications across our areas of work. The Projects and Communications Officer will work with local and central government officers, childcare providers and sector experts to help children and families get the best start in the crucial early years. They will create insightful and engaging content for our communication channels including blogs, website and social media posts, vodcasts and case studies, to ensure a high profile with our audience.
As a key member of a small team, the role will support the development and implementation of strategies and plans, and contribute to the longer term development of sustainable and effective programmes.

The role
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a newly created fundraising products team that’s responsible for both new and innovative product development and our sector leading virtual events programme. As the Senior Individual Giving Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of this programme. This exciting Policy & Public Affairs Officer role will lead on developing and influencing specific policy priorities identified by the Foundation as areas where change is most needed to improve the population’s mental health. Initially, the policy area of focus for this role will be the mental health of asylum seekers and refugees.
What does the role involve?

Head of Communications and Marketing Responsibilities:
· Providing strategic communications and marketing counsel to the Chief Executive

We’re looking for a motivated Grants and Administration Officer. We are happy to consider someone who is newer to grant-making but with deep experience of the charitable sector. We will be looking for someone with aptitude for the duties below who will be able to work independently following training where needed. Alternatively, we would be open to a candidate with experience of grant management who can hit the ground running. The salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
The role is split between grants assessment and management and providing administrative support to the team. A more detailed outline of the duties can be found below. Grants assessment and management:
• Process grant applications. This includes:
o Visiting, meeting and corresponding with applicants.

• Monitor progress on grants awarded.

This role is part of our peer support services team and will be responsible for supporting our online peer support communities, including our forum and Facebook groups.
The post holder will work directly with the Peer Support Manager and the Senior Online Communities Officer, as well as with colleagues from across the charity to develop our online communities, helping us to reach and support more people affected by bowel cancer and those concerned about symptoms, risk and pre-diagnosis.
