The Director of Public Affairs will work with the CEO and Senior Management Team to raise our profile and influence policy, unlock and steward resource and build new partnerships, in order to facilitate growth in impact. They will do this by getting the most out of our high performing Public Affairs team, which covers policy, research, advocacy and communications - as well as working across teams and with the Board to ensure Impetus is well positioned externally.

Key responsibilities
Fundraising and income generation
- Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
- Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.
- Vision setting and strong line management of the Public Affairs team, developing their capabilities, representing the team at SMT and to the Board and ensuring it continues to make a valuable - and valued - contribution to the achievement of Impetus’s objectives, through building and implementing high quality work plans for the team and ensuring the wider Impetus team is aligned on these.
- Increase awareness, understanding and trust in Impetus among key stakeholders, through regular, thoughtful engagement with the sector and securing high profile media coverage.
- Raise awareness of the education and employment gaps faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and what we can do to break down the barriers they face - through research, policy positioning and effective communications.
- Build a positive reputation for Impetus in government and parliament and among funders, as a source of expertise on how to improve the education and employment outcomes of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and as a trusted interlocutor and partner, building on and leveraging the many relationships already established.
- Ensure that all advocacy is supported by high quality research and evidence, with our policy and research agenda well aligned to supporting the delivery of Impetus’ strategy.
- Ensure a positive media profile, continuing to build on the base established to build awareness among the media of Impetus’s expertise and content.
- Position Impetus as a ‘sought-after’ collaborative partner for other organisations with shared objectives; including regularly representing Impetus at relevant sector events.
- Support the delivery of our fundraising strategy and the successful delivery of our events programme, in particular, our flagship Transforming Lives Dinner.
- Where appropriate, collaborate with our portfolio partners to support their public affairs work and to leverage relevant partnerships, drawing on their insights to inform Impetus’ work.
- Contribute to the successful performance of the Senior Management Team, and provide expert advice to them, as well as to Trustees, on all public affairs-related activities and in the implementation of the broader strategy, engaging with decisions and challenges across the organisation.
- Oversee the running of our Public Affairs Committee (PAC), leveraging their skills, expertise and influence for the good of Impetus.

The Data Transformation MarTech Specialist will play a pivotal role in a significant cross-organisational multi-year project to comprehensively overhaul AIUK's data and digital capabilities. As the marketing expert in a dedicated project team, you will work to deliver our new CRM and MarTech solution, deploying a full suite of supporting technologies with particular focus on our marketing technology applications.
Collaborating closely with external partners and key internal stakeholders, including AIUK's Data and Insight Team, you will lead on AIUK's transition from our existing marketing technology stack to a new Marketing Cloud solution (or a suite of new marketing applications) that will enable us to provide a seamless experience across all marketing channels and help us to comprehensively manage all of our marketing activities. About the Role
The Director of Grants and Operations is a senior role within the Jack Petchey Foundation with responsibility for leading our operations, partnerships and grant-making. You will ensure that our operations are agile, efficient, effective, forward-looking and robust. In addition, you will have strategic responsibility for ensuring our grants and partnerships teams deploy over £10m pa to benefit young people and strengthen the youth sector across London and Essex.

You will work to ensure that JPF programmes benefit more young people, particularly in areas and groups with the greatest need.
We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of building and improving highly effective operations functions within complex organisations. You will bring strategic vision and operational excellence, ensuring that our systems and processes are robust, inclusive and future-focused. With significant experience in digital transformation, financial oversight and people leadership, you will know how to create the infrastructure that enables impact at scale. We’re looking for a proactive and organised Nations Trusts and Foundations Officer to help us grow and strengthen our funding from charitable trusts and foundations - specifically those supporting our work in Carers Scotland, Carers Wales, and Carers Northern Ireland.
This is a key role that directly supports policy influence and service delivery across the nations by securing flexible, budget-relieving grants. You’ll be responsible for researching funders, developing compelling applications, and building strong relationships with a range of national and regional trusts. You’ll also work closely with our teams in each nation to stay connected to their priorities and help translate their vital work into fundable and fund-winning cases for support.
It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in trust fundraising while contributing to lasting change for unpaid carers.
About you
You’ll have experience of writing successful trust funding applications and will feel confident asking for grants of five figures or more. You enjoy writing clearly and persuasively, and you’re good at building positive relationships with funders over time.
You’re organised and reliable, able to manage a busy workload and keep on top of deadlines. You pay close attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work, especially when reporting back to funders.
You’re someone who works well with others. You’ll enjoy talking to our teams in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to understand what they need and how funding can help. You’re curious, committed, and care about making a difference to people’s lives.
It’s helpful if you already understand the charity landscape in the nations or the challenges unpaid carers face, but it’s not essential. Most important is that you bring a positive, thoughtful approach and are ready to learn.

What the job involves
We’re looking for someone to join our in-house Film and Photography team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of video projects, working with a friendly, supportive, and talented creative team.
You’ll focus on editing a wide range of content, from event promotions and social media clips to documentaries and campaign films. Beyond editing, you'll also be an integral part of our shoots, helping with everything from monitoring camera feeds to assisting with basic production duties and managing equipment. You'll also play a crucial role in keeping our team's processes and systems running smoothly, including assisting with administration and managing our Digital Asset Library.
You'll have the chance to collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to bring incredible stories to life, so strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Video Content Editor who is confident using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit video content and have experience in colour grading and audio restoration. You’ll have a good understanding of creating content for different channels, especially social media formats, and be organised, reliable, and happy to pitch in across editing, shoots, and administrative tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation are essential, as is a good eye for detail and the ability to follow brand guidelines. Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a small, busy creative team are also key, as is being a self-starter who's happy to take initiative and hit the ground running.
It would be great if you also have experience shooting film and/or photography, particularly at small events, knowledge of social media video formats and optimisation, and basic motion graphics or animation skills using Adobe After Effects.

This is a key role in the Freedom Fund’s Research & Evaluation team, playing a key role in measuring the real-world impact of anti-slavery initiatives across the globe. You’ll also contribute to research and evaluation projects that deepen understanding and improve the ways we work to prevent and address modern slavery.
In this role, you’ll manage the digital backbone of our data systems, ensuring that impact is measured consistently and meaningfully. You’ll provide colleagues and partners with the tools and training they need to monitor progress and address challenges. Through engaging dashboards and innovative visualisations, you’ll turn complex data into accessible insights for a wide range of audiences: from grassroots partners to the Freedom Fund’s senior leadership.
You’ll report to the Head of Research & Evaluation and work alongside Research & Evaluation team members based globally. The role will involve one to two international trips per year. Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join UKCF at a time of growth, ambition and innovation. We are looking for an interim Partnerships Officer to help us build and deliver impactful national partnerships that bring real, measurable benefits to communities across the UK.
Initially for a period of six months, you will hit the ground running to pick up an existing portfolio of national programmes currently under delivery. You’ll lead on programme administration including design and delivery, as well as collaborating with UKCF finance and membership colleagues to collate and disseminate programme data for funders and internal stakeholders.
In this client facing role, you will be responsible for administration and operational support in the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-value, strategic partnerships, whether with government departments, major trusts and foundations, corporate partners, or other longstanding partners.

This role requires exceptional organisational, programme and project management skills. Experience in a trust or foundation, grantmaking, especially within programme design, is a bonus.

This hands-on leadership role will shape and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, drive footfall and customer engagement across our retail estate, and build brand awareness for both our shops and charitable mission. You’ll work closely with shop teams, the central office and external partners to ensure our messaging is compelling, consistent and impactful. You’ll also lead the digital and fundraising strategy, helping us reach new audiences and deepen relationships with existing supporters. With a small but passionate team, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across the organisation.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has senior-level experience in marketing and communications, ideally within charity retail or fashion.
- Can lead others to develop fantastic fundraising campaigns.
- Is a strategic thinker with a flair for creative storytelling and brand development.
- Can lead and deliver multi-channel campaigns that drive engagement and income.
- Understands the retail environment and can tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Is confident working across digital platforms, media relations and fundraising.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and thrives in collaborative environments.
